My very last stand on the wee woo show here is that after watching people complaining of Bathena main character treatment for the past 2 seasons, it's indeed ironic to watch how the show declined when people got exactly that... Less Bathena as everything related to them got rushed and erased from the show because Bobby is dead and Athena at moment has literal zero strength in the narrative because the writers got rid of every trait of her to make her ooc for the sake of a half assed grief arc that did last less than Bobby's death and funeral screentime combined.

I wish I could have stayed and watched this show till the end and enjoyed, but after last season I fear I have more respect over myself to chose not keep up watching such disrespect towards me as a viewer.

*bobby's death is not bad writting*

*bobby's death creates room for new storylines, it will be good for the show*

Let's start from the beginning, the same show:

spoilers a mcd by leaked footaged of the funeral weeks before the actual mcd

released a fake script to maintain views

killed their 8 years male lead with 5 minutes of screentime in t middle of the season, on a random episode with no build up or closure through the season or episode... disrespecting 7 years of a healing journey for a character who deserved better than mediocre writing.

sidelined his funeral to plot b on HIS FUNERAL EPISODE, while making plot a to be a "let's mock the fans in denial" storyline.

interrupted all the ongoing arcs for an half assed non existing grief arc.

queerbaited the remaining big vocal part of the audience, buddies, right before the finale episode, as expected.

rushed up all the arcs pre-grief in a single 1 minute silent scene in the finale.

Just threw the grief, but didn't really deal with it...

kept rubbing in the wound by making everything a parallel to bobby's death

mocked fans once again by athena slow motion walk at the end be for a bobby it wasn't really the one the audience wanted (and the writers knew exactly what they were doing with that)

Hope this was a call out to anyone who was still defending the bulllcrap this show has become.

So in the span of a single episode (after the writting tragedy that was killing Bobby Nash) we got:

Buck and Josephina

Henren and Eddie

Athena and Karen

Athena and Chim (beef)

Athena Hen Chim (Hen trying to hold it together here)

Athena and Danny and JeeYun glimpse.

And you wanna tell me that all these interactions and dynamics couldn't have been done if Bobby was alive? Let's be real it isn't Bobbys screentime that caused these to not be done, those weren't done before, because Tim didn't really wanted to.

And the way this episode felt like it was trying to force the notion that these dynamics are only happening now because if his creative decision. that can only be benefic to the show... I'm certain we look like a joke to Tim, because this is just yikes.

Welp, curiosity took the best of me and i decided to check on the episode...

It's funny how empty i felt tunning in to watch the show today, considering it used to be the highlights of my thursdays... Anyway, back to the issue.

The vibes are all wrong to me, and it's obvious why, because as much as the writers wanna pull a "look all those different dynamics showing up" like they couldn't have make athena interact with karen or chim when Bobby was alive... is just pissing me off, but worse is people who will probably fall for it and see the way Tim wants it. No me though, i still see this episode by what it is.

The team all separated and all grieving in their own ways, because Bobby was the joint, as the the only time this felt like 911 in this ep was the flashback in the beginning. The rest? Just feels like angst, drama and damage control in response to unnecessary writing decision.

And i feel confused by this episode, because the characters are floating between not giving a fuck bobby is dead to completely falling apart. People could go and excuse this with "they're trying to keep it together but spiraling over their grief" but, when you have your viewer questioning if the character is acting in a way because it's in character or due the writing forcing a narrative so they act that way for the writer even if it doesn't really make sense for the character... you know something is wrong.

Hen refusing the promotion, is predictable of Tim and honestly another low point to me... However if they set up Chim for Captaincy it would be the most reasonable these folks have been in years, but eh i don't bet on that.

I guess the writers finally reminded that Eddie is a main (probably damage control after being bullied for 3 weeks of their own stupidity),

Athenachim beefing is understandable at best given the circunstance and I figured Athena and Chim would end up stuck together by the middle of the episode given the ongoing beef.

It's going as predictable as it could. There is literally not a single new aspect that justify killing Bobby and it honestly pisses me off considering Tim was so nonchalant about new possibilites when he could totally have pulled off with Bobby very much alive.

How much you wanna bet Chim is going to save Athena, there will be some buddie hint, and then the last scene of the season will be family dinner, cooked by Buck, to keep Bobby's spirit alive?

Everytime i look at May and Harry crying while Athena hugs the casket i start to sob, that will forever haunt me, and hate that i'm now questioning the entire point of bathena arc because that is how bad this show fumbled. They makde their two main leads arc and growth completely pointless

Tbh this episode was so insulting to me in such a way that even if Bobby smh was brough back to life idk if would go back to watch this show.

Not after being hurt and mocked and thant have my favorite characters entire arc reduced to his su*c*dal idealisation.

Hi anon. After the meltdown that was the day they leaked the funeral, the next day (April 1th) Oliver shared a video of Aisha in a van and in that video people could see the script they were reading, there was a scene of Bobby waking up in the coffin.

Then JLH also shared a picture of her with an script in the same day, and people presumed it was the same script, since she was on scene.

Anyway after such a failure of them leaking a funeral MCD, you can guess how that turned out, people trully believed on it.

The biggest slap to me wasn't even the obviou mocking of our emotions...

It was then showing Bobby visiting that poor woman in the hospital where he answers her question of how to live after losing a child... by saying he just hoped he would meet his kids in the end... And then making that the last message of his character???? when clearly he was in the stage of his life where he was strongly su*c*dal and had no one to disclose all that pain...

Do they enven gave a thought on how THAT last message would sound??? To a su*c*dal character who was killed in the last 5 minutes of an episode in a sacrifice, even though he was FINALLY planning to the future and CHOOSING TO BE HAPPY after a big crisis... Like how do you completely fumble so bad to ruin an entire arc of a character in a single episode that is a tribute to him... HOW?
