just a small lil project so i had a 99% solid idea of what they look like in my head whenever i wanna make fanart... explanations/headcanons/design notes under the cut if anyone cars

parrot

in my head parrot would be a severe macaw but im really not a bird person so like what do i know

he cant fly 'naturally', the metal extensions on his wings act as his elytra which is more like a mobility aid. without it he can glide for short and i mean SHORT distances and cannot take flight by himself, hes basically too structurally weak to do it. dont look too hard at the aids tho idk if they work physically ok OK.

raccoon purple-dyed streak of hair and also a purple bandanna for wifies. of course. i imagine he got rid of both after paragon because of bitter memories but kept maybe a slightly thicker thread of the fabric to weave into a lil braid.

PONYTAIL UGHHH YESSS I LOVE GIVING THEM PONYTAILS ! its more like a half-up half-down situation tho . the hairtie is ironically purple

outfit is really adventure-y. hes not over the top at all with his oufit and throws on whatever rags he may find. i imagine he kept the scarf/shawl all throughout s1/s2 though

head wings and tail dont really serve any purpose other than showing his emotions sometimes. tho the tail DOES make him more well-balanced when theyre flying with their elytras if that makes sense

pure voidling though from a subspecies thats from the outer end islands and when i say outer i mean like over 500k blocks

this is more of a general outfit for him that i think hed have in s1

a lot of the design choices i made for him were based off my decisions for his adjacent lifesteal design. ie i gave him horns and a tail so that his lifesteal version would have pigtails/ears (i havent decided lmao) and wings. and he has more of a tech-shirt (i forgot the actual style name) so that his lifesteal ver can have a hoodie

white streaks just cuz ive always wanted him to have white streaks

he has a red star shaped earring for mapicc (i imagine in s2 he dyes a white streak red instead, cuz he either loses the earring or thinks its too dangerous to wear. could get yanked u know)

scars :^) but they heal lighter than his skin and he gets mad about that especially in later seasons when theyre getting in fights all the time

bonus: i imagine when mapicc is fighting him in the maze he breaks off one of his horns . i headcanon that voidling horns grow back but very slowly so until it does its a sad reminder of their broken friendship but its also an allegory for them making amends :3 did i use that word right i think i did

blazeborn and tiger heritage but the split is 60/40

i fear not biologically related to mane for this reason (mane would be 60/40 human and lion heritage) but they definitely grow up as brothers and people dont question the dna

because of the unstable dna (see what i did there) his blazeborn abilities are a bit finicky, causing the fire powers to only work on his left hand

when emotions r running high he cant/struggles to control the flames

also more of a casual outfit that i think hed have in s1 if we saw his pov . the hoodie is cut short and he has a skintight suit under it tho. just for ease of movement

tiger dna gives him heightened senses which is how he can 'see' despite having a blindfold

always loves to be blinged out, the gold in his dreads is the beginning of this (i imagine he gets earrings and stuff in later seasons)

lowkey mad he didnt get the demon tail from the blazeborn genes. the tiger tail is quote "too expressive"

(ender) dragon and voidling but its more like a 70/30 split. hes also a different subspecies of voidling to spoke so they never ran into eachother as kids. <500k blocks to the end island

voidling genes gave him the horns/tail/pointed ears. dragon genes gave him the eyes, skin, wings, but 'amplified' the horns from the voidling gene which is why theyre so much bigger than spokes. also the voidling subspecies is why his tail is longer and thinner

like parrot he cant fly with his wings but he CAN glide and can probably take off if hes desperate enough and has loads of adrenaline

^ he uses a normal elytra like everyone else to fly tho

in pze arc zam had them all in 'uniforms' which he said he didnt like but enjoyed the 'royal' look, which transferred into his main outfit

SHOULD be super scarred but he isnt because of the extra tough dragon-gene-aided skin. so if u see a scar on wemmbu well damn that hit hard

not present in this art but i imagine when hes in the invis knight arc his fingertips/skin in general is more blue in hue from the constant invisibility pots

People still tend to lump JK Rowling in with the category of ~problematic artists~ and I need everyone to understand that is not the problem with her. She is not comparable to anyone who wrote a piece of fiction you hate, or someone who made rude comments in 2015 and has since learned better.

She is far more like Elon Musk. She is a radicalized person with an extreme amount of social and financial power, and for YEARS she has been using that power to try to influence her government into hurting vulnerable people, on purpose. And she has succeeded. THAT is the problem with her, and THAT is why spending money on her books is so dangerous, not because her books aged badly.

Critiquing her work is fine, of course (I personally was never a fan so I really don’t care) but you NEED to understand that fiction is not the main issue here. And I truly think acting like she’s the same as the rest of any giant list of ~problematic creators of the week~ waters down how dangerous she is.

What if Red Hood had taken the cowl instead of Nightwing?

Crazy, I know. Unspeakable. Completely out of character. But I’m just a girl (I was rewatching Bing Bang Theory and Stuart and Sheldon were arguing about who should be taking the cowl when Bruce was presumed dead in the Black Mirror run iirc… correct me if I’m wrong)

I was just thinking what could lead up to that. I haven’t read that run but I roughly know the events, which is also how people got the dad Dick and son Damien dynamic; now imagine that but JASON!

Would he have done it as a way to prove to himself he could have been a better Batman than Bruce was? Would he start killing people like the Joker first for revenge and then finally realize Bruce’s point of view with the no kill rule? Would he have stepped up to protect Damien, because he lost his dad and Jason knows what it’s like to have your father “leave” you, even if the situation is different? Would Dick even let him take the cowl?

(I know he was Batman in some other universes and even the Crisis series but… THINK ABOUT IT)

Becoming Batman would also mean he might’ve become the new center of Batfam which might make for interesting dynamics. Like I said, I haven’t read these runs, so I don’t know if this has happened already.

Just seemed interesting. Also, for those wondering, Stuart backed up Jason and Sheldon backed up Dick. As the number one Nightwing fan, I’m also with Dick as the one taking the cowl, not that I think he should be taking it permanently. The next Batman is a whole other discussion (CASS. BUT IF U WANT A GUY THEN TIM. I can elaborate if you ask)

The next Batman in my most honest opinion should be either Cassandra Cain or Tim Drake. I’ve always thought of cass and Bruce to be very similar, in the sense that they think and act in similar ways, aside from cass crashing out a lil every so often. She’s the perfect candidate and embodiment of justice, like Bruce, but in her own cass way. I still love her as batgirl though

As for Tim…… we all know he’s been fucking 17 for like a bazillion years at this point and he is STILL Red Robin. Guys…. Please…..

Tim wasn’t offered the mantle but he TOOK it after Jason’s death. He’s an amazing detective, ambitious, zealous, and confident enough to be bossing around THE dark knight when he’s 14. Nice vro

All I’m saying is they need to do something with this guy. NOT to say I think he should become Batman BECAUSE they haven’t done anything, he just has good traits and would make for good potential storylines and dynamics within batfam. Hell, I’d even like if they introduced a completely new character as the next robin if this happened.

Also, I’ve seen some people mention that they’re tired of Batman plots where he’s chasing down new villains and doing multiverse shit, and instead would rather see plot lines where we see more of his detective side and the actual problem solving that goes into finding these guys. That would definitely fit for Tim, I think.

Anyway, if this is bad reasoning then so be it. But I honestly don’t see any other person in batfam taking up the mantle if Bruce ACTUALLY dies or retires. Plus, it would be a crazy plot twist if the reason they’ve pushed Tim aside is to wait for Damien to become a doctor, then have something happen to Bruce, and make Tim Batman. I would cheer and gloat forever

red hood / jason todd is a pine grosbeak (specifically the red type, these are pretty rare and are endangered. heh. there are also yellow ones)

damien wayne is an american redstart warbler. just look at it

tumblr has taught me about another robin in a different universe named duke thomas and i think this is him because his suit is bright yellow afterh e stops being robin

barbara gordon is a purple starling. i think they are funny looking

cassandra cain is SPECIFICALLY a northwestern crow (because they have a purple tint)

bruce wayne is a great-tailed grackle because it reminds me of his cape
