@kryallaorchid
Hi! I hope you're doing well! I've been a fan of your TT fanfics ever since you started writing, and I've been re-reading Touch (Redux), which I think is one of my favorite stories you've ever written, and I was wondering if you were ever planning on doing Masks? I really hope I don't come across as pushy or demanding, I was just curious!
I enjoyed writing Touch (Redux). It was fun to reimagine.
As for Masks, @wintermoth has been (not-so-quietly) reminding me, so rest assured, it hasn't been forgotten. I'm letting it sit, mainly because I have already rewritten Masks before, and a lot of the events in there are static events, because they're driven by other characters, not Robin or Starfire, so the only characters that would be different are those two, and their relationship, because of how they got together.
So I'm honestly not sure how much of a story I can get out of it without feeling like I'm rehashing old content. It's stewing, but I'm leaning toward a slice-of-life, and perhaps more shenanigans with the duo in Gotham before stuff goes down.
How do you feel about the new Starfire animated series?
It has Silkie. That's all I need to know.
I'm not the target audience, but I'll watch it, (depending on whether or not I can actually get it). It looks cute and interesting and I'm curious.
hi. did you know australia has a fairywren species called the superb fairywren
and another species called the splendid fairywren
...and one called the lovely fairywren
They just named these by showing pictures to some elderly woman and noting down her first delighted exclamation.
Write that one-shot. Those 3 chapters will be the best 10 chapters you ever wrote
Question 1:
What’s the best place to post original literature? I’m not sure if I should try Wattpad or not.
Question 2: Has anyone ever ghost write an already published series? Ok what I mean is for example, The Blue Lagoon (1980) is one of my favorite movies and I want to read the first book but, I’m disappointed that the author changed the ending from the first book into the second. So I figured, maybe ghost write my own sequels and hope it’ll be published? Has anyone ever done that with permission?
Question 1:
It really depends on genre. Wattpad can be very good for some people, and awful for others. You hear stories of people writing bestsellers on Wattpad, but given the sheer number of stories there, it can be hard to find the really good ones.
Other places I have heard of are:
Royal Road https://www.royalroad.com
Scribble Hub https://www.scribblehub.com
FictionPress https://www.fictionpress.com
It depends on a lot of things, like how fast you can produce chapters, what you're looking for in a reader, and your end goals. Decide what is right for your work.
Question 2:
I'm unsure on the wording of this question.
Ghost writing the practice of hiring a professional writer to create literary or journalistic works, speeches, or content that is officially credited to another person.
I think you mean retconned? Retcon means 'Retroactive Continuity': when previously established facts are overwritten later, like changing an ending so something else happens in future books. This happens all the time, in TV series, in books, in all sorts of places.
Plenty of books have done what Blue Lagoon did at the end, then changed the ending for the sequel. However, to be fair to Blue Lagoon, the ending was ambiguous enough that it could have gone either way, and 'sleeping' is no good if you don't wake up. So it's technically not a retcon, but an ambiguous ending receiving a definite outcome in a sequel. This is also a common trick.
There are many authors who write on free platforms, get feedback, then publish with 'extras' or a different ending. Or publish sequels to a story they posted for free later. It's really up to you and what you want out of your writing.
do fic readers know that their comments actually influence the course of the story sometimes? i don't mean in a "you need to write it this way because i say so 😡" type of comment, i mean when people are asking questions or really engaging with the plot and the themes in the comments they sometimes bring up things that i didn't even think of, or dig into parts of the story that i've overlooked, or get really interested/fixated on something i was going to just kind of glance over--and it has me going 'oh wait that's actually really interesting, that's a good point' and fully adding or tweaking or changing things about the story going forward. i'm literally adding an entire additional chapter to something right now because someone's comment had me like "oh i didn't dig into that as much as i could have." you have impact!
Reblogging cuz I’m once again in the middle of adding an entire new plot arc to a fic because of a comment - and you know what, it made it better!

What is the scariest game you've ever played?
Feed your dashboard by answering my question, blogger.
Tumblr's April fools at its finest, love it.
Nothing will ever scare me more in a game than Diablo - the pixilated form of the Butcher crooning "Ah, Fresh meat" as it charged that first time.
the prince has begun practicing curtseying in the mirror. which could mean nothing.
we have good news and bad news, my liege. the good news is that we now know what that curtsying was about: you will be pleased to know that, after several heartfelt conversations between your child, the court jesters and a myriad of singing woodland creatures, you are now the parent of a proud and joyful new princess. the bad news is that, due to a series of events related to the dragon-sized hole in her bedchamber wall,
I love the insinuation that the second the princess realized she was a girl and thus actually a princess, the dragon was there. That thing wasted no time. It heard "princess" and was like "I need no further invitation, here I come."
Gender affirmed by Dragon. Amazing.
pretty sure you’re literally the only person who understood my vision on this accursed post
Hi! I wanted to let you know your E'ara series was so formative in my teen years. When people ask me who inspired me to write, you're the first person I think of! No pressure responding or anything, I'm just so happy after so many years admiring you I finally found a way to share this with you!
Omg, thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed my stories.
E'ara is such a blast from the past, and I am so proud of that series. It taught me so many writing lessons, what to do and what not to do, and I look back on it fondly.
Reblog if you write fan fiction
Doesn’t matter if you write in a frequent basis, or once in a blue moon, just how many of us are there?

Hello.
Your writing touched a lot of people and I am simply one of them. I love your words, and perhaps through that I love you in the abstract way one loves a stranger. I've followed your stories about Robin & Starfire 15 years ago or so and they probably punted me into puberty lol
Thank you for writing- and continuing to choose to write. I really appreciate it.
Thank you so much! I needed to hear this today. It's been an absolutely wonderful writing journey and I'm so glad people are still taking it with me.
So the creator titled this "Caveman Cooking," but I have decided that it is Grug the Orc making Peanut Butter Squares. Link to original post.
Sound on. Trust me.
