If you are in a public space that people cannot move away from (ex: a bus stop, an outdoor line) don't smoke. If you must smoke, walk away and downwind.

Smoking is harmful to others. Even marijuana, may cause someone to have an allergy attack, but, in general, anything with nicotine (including vapes) is hurting others who most likely do not agree. It's also a very unpleasant smell.

Marijuana can also make people high when they don't want to be, and worse yet, it can make people high without knowing it, if they don't know what it smells like or are already on some other medication that will have an additive effect.

It doesn't interact with as many drugs as alcohol does and the interactions are rarely dangerous, but many drugs affect the amount of time it takes THC to clear your system. When I was on long-acting Wellbutrin, I saved a lot of money on weed because a small amount would stay in my system for fucking ever, but it also meant that if I wanted to party on the weekend I had to do it on Friday night if I wanted a clear head when I entered the office on Monday. Please do not drug people without their consent. I had a downstairs neighbour who insisted on smoking his weed outside and under my window and people did not understand why I told him to quit doing that specific thing, or I would report him.

After all, I have chronic pain, and I use edibles. I should be sympathetic?

Not really.

I have asthma, and do not want to be high unless I've decided to be, and one of the really great things about edibles is you can treat your pain with CBD or get just as fucking stoned as you want on THC without bothering anyone. (and they don't make my asthma act up) If you need to use THC in public, there are better ways to do it than polluting the air and drugging the people around you.

You are also less likely to get your ass arrested if you eat a gummy than if you are smoking a fat one. Just saying. Most places with relaxed weed laws still don't allow you to smoke it in public at the bus stop or in the back of the actual bus.

If you vape, don't blow it at people. I know it seems self explanatory that that would be rude but several times I have gotten eye infections from people blowing watermelon cancer juice directly into my face for the crime of existing in a public place I could not leave. No I don't want to fucking smell, get your particulates out of my eyes

It baffles me, actually, that so many people do not realise how obnoxiously rude it is to literally force the substance you're smoking into the faces and lungs of unconsenting randos nearby.

I don't care if it'll hurt me or not? It's just that I'm not smoking your smoke thing so why do you think I'd want to smoke your smoke thing

25 is young, no need to be successful by then. I'd say fix as much of your sleep schedule you can, stay as physically active as possible, limit doom-scrolling and eat healthy by 25 and then keep it going
