I just want to say that people with a lot of scars, missing limbs, extra digits, missing facial features (eyes, lips, ears, nose, all of the above), cleft lips or anything of the sort are not "body horror".

I grew up in the mountains where missing limbs, people with no fingers, burns, and stuff were extremely common.

Yknow what my parents said? "Some people just look like that." And guess what? I understood. It wasnt a big deal.

Also, kids themslves can have scarring, limb differences, facial differences, etc. Anything that adults think is "too scary" for kids to know about is undoubtedly something that kids are already experiencing.
