Loyalty (ft. Jey Uso, Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Jimmy Uso)
You have to be the biggest asshole in the world to (@) a wrestler and tell them they need to be out of the title picture bc of a botchā¦. Grow Up š
After being pushed to the brink over and over again, Davina finally stabbed her childhood best friend Roman in the back and left the Bloodline, seeing what everyone saw in him all along. In her eyes he stabbed her in the back first with the way he treated her.
Now after months of push and pull, petty arguments in the ring, Roman costing her title matches to get her back with him until he lost to Cody and went on vacation, Davina's attuned for her sins.
She has a fresh new start on Raw thanks to Cody Rhodes, and is the new WWE Womens Champion. She is perfectly content with being on Raw with Jey and Sami, and has been getting closer to Jey.
When Solo thinks he is the new Tribal Chief, and has a new Bloodline with him and putting a target on their backs, Davina is content with ignoring the problem. Why would she get inovled? Roman doesn't want anything to do with her, and sheās (pretending that) fine with that. The Bloodline is a chapter sheās closed. Why would she risk reopening old wounds for a family that cast her aside? It's Romans problem now.
But when Solo's Bloodline costs Jey his IC Title, and Solo adds Nia into his new bBoodline, who has her eyes set on Davina's title unless Davina joins the new Bloodline, Davina is forced to stop pretending she doesn't care. And when Jey begs her to help the family, the same family she has known for years, she's forced to face Roman for the first time in months.
Forced to open those wounds. Not just with Roman, but with Jimmy and Solo she caused when she left the faction.
Forced to spew venom at each other that masks the hurt that both Davina and Roman feel.
Forced to open back up the secrets of their "friendship."
Forced to try not to revert into her old self.
Forced to not think about her growing feelings for Jey.
But most importantly.
Davina wonders if she's just as much of a villain for creating The Bloodline, the Tribal Chief, this version of Roman in the first place.
But she's The Ice Empress for a reason.
Davina will always be the villain. Even if she's a babyface.
She just has to choose if sheāll be the villain they need or the one they fear.

You swear itās a superpower. Thereās no other explanation. Itās like Jey was blessed with the divine ability to flip a switch in your brain and Samiās at the same time. Doesnāt matter if youāre exhausted, fresh off a flight, half-asleep, or fresh out the gym dripping sweat ā if Jey wants you and Sami, heās getting you and Sami.Ā Period.
And the worst part? He knows it. Oh, that man knows exactly what heās doing.
He doesnāt even have to say much. Sometimes, itās just a look ā that look. The one where his eyes dip low and slow, scanning over you like heās picking apart every inch, tongue pressed to the inside of his cheek like heās already thinking nasty things. His gaze lingers, hot like a brand, and suddenly, youāre hyper-aware of every part of yourself. Your heart skips, your breath catches, and no matter how tired you are, itās like your whole body goes on high alert.
And when he speaks? Itās over.
āCāmon, baby,ā heāll say, low and rough, his voice like gravel smoothed over honey. His hand grazes your back, his fingers slow and deliberate, just barely touching you. His eyes stay on yours, half-lidded but sharp as ever. āDonāt run from me now.ā
Run from him? Like you could?
You try to act like it doesnāt work on you. You really do. Youāll roll your eyes, huff, and mutter something about how "we are too tired for this, Jey." But then heāll smirk ā that smirk ā slow and sharp like heās daring you to keep lying.
"Too tired, huh?" His eyes flick to your lips. "Bet I could change your mind."
And just like that, youāre gone.
Itās the way he invades your space, close but never too close, until you feel the heat of him before you even see him. He doesnāt have to touch you at first, just be there, and youāre already rethinking every excuse you had to stay tired.
You remember one time in the hotel lobby. He didnāt even do anything at first. Just sat across from you and Sami, legs spread wide, leaning back like a king on his throne. His chain was swinging on his chest, fresh off a shower, skin still warm and glowing.
And all he did was look at you both. No words. Just that steady, hungry stare that had your thighs pressing together under the table. You swore you werenāt even gonna give him the satisfaction ā you were tired, your feet hurt, and Sami was already scrolling on his phone, dead to the world.
But Jey? He leaned forward, elbows on his knees, and called out softly, "Baby girl..." His voice was a slow drag, like he had all the time in the world. "You tryna ignore me, huh?"
You glanced up āĀ mistake. His eyes locked with yours, and you knew you were done for.
And, of course, Sami had to notice.
"Donāt look at him," Sami muttered, not even looking up from his phone. His brows furrowed like he was focusing hard, but his face was pink, jaw clenching. "Donāt give him that satisfaction, Y/N. Weāre tired, remember?Ā Tired."
"I know," you whispered, eyes still locked with Jeyās. "I know."
But it was too late. You felt it in your chest, that warm, heavy buzz that only Jey could spark. Your pulse kicked up, and suddenly, every inch of you felt too aware.
Jey tilted his head, watching you closely, like he could see every thought running through your mind. He leaned in, resting his chin on his fist, and his eyes flicked to Sami next.
"You tired too, Zayn?" he asked, his grin slow and slick. He licked his lips, staring at Sami like he had plans. Big, nasty plans. "Donāt look tired to me."
Sami exhaled hard, dragging a hand down his face like he was fighting for his life.
"Jey," Sami warned, his voice already cracking.
"You know you want it,Ā lo'u alofa," Jey shot back, his eyes flashing with mischief. "Stop frontinā."
And that was all it took. Sami let out the loudest, most frustrated groan, tossing his phone on the table. "I hate you, habibi," Sami muttered, but he was already looking at you like, āWeāre really doinā this, huh?ā
"Yup," Jey said, smug as ever, standing up slow and stretching, his shirt riding up just enough to show a sliver of abs and those damn v-lines. He caught you looking. Of course, he did. "Yāall know the room number. Get up."
And you did. Of course, you did.
THE WORST PART?
He does it anywhere.
Locker room?
Jey waits until itās just the three of you, then heāll sit you on his lap like youāre just āchilling.ā Except his hand will start tracing slow circles on your hip, his lips grazing your ear as he whispers things he has no business whispering when yāall have a match in 20 minutes. And itās never just once. Nah, Jey makes sure you feel every word until youāre warm all over, legs squeezing together. He always chuckles like heās so proud of himself.
Parking lot?
Samiās getting bags from the trunk, and youāre standing there minding your business. Then Jey comes up behind you, resting his chin on your shoulder. His hands slide down your sides, fingers teasing, his breath warm on your neck. āLook at you, baby girl,ā he mutters, voice so low itās barely a sound. āLook too damn good today.ā You freeze, breath hitching, and he doesnāt stop. Just tilts his head to kiss your neck. āMight have to keep you in this car for a bit.ā
Hotel room? Donāt even get him started.
Jeyās the type to grab you by the wrist, pull you into the bathroom mirror, and stare at you both like itās a damn movie. His hands on your waist, lips grazing your ear, his voice sharp and low.
āLook at you, baby. Look how good you look with me.ā
And itās over.
Youāre leaning into him, heart racing, and by the time Sami walks in, heās rolling his eyes, tossing his bag down like, āYou two are disgusting.ā
But itās not like Sami leaves. Nope, he watches for a second too long, cheeks pink, and you know heās about to join you both.
AND THE THING IS...
Sami and you arenātĀ innocentĀ either.
Youāve both gotten better at spotting Jeyās antics, even calling him out.
āDonāt even think about it,ā Sami will say, holding up a hand like a referee calling a foul. āWe just got to catering, Jey. Food first.ā
Youāll chime in too, pointing a warning finger at him. āYeah, no funny business, Uso. Iām hungry.ā
But Jey? Jey will look at you both, dead in the eyes, and say something so obscene that Sami drops his fork, and you have to slap your hand over your mouth to keep from choking on laughter.
āDonāt play with me, baby,ā Jey says, tongue in his cheek, eyes flicking between you and Sami. āWe can eat later.ā
Samiās face goes red. āThis man is a menace.ā
Youāre covering your face, shoulders shaking from holding in your laughter. āYouāre so nasty,ā you say, still giggling like itās not true.
And Jey? Jeyās just smiling, head tilted, eyes locked on you and Sami like heās already planning his next move.
The knock on the door was sharp but casual, the kind meant to say,Ā Itās just me, no big deal.Ā Jey leaned against the doorframe, trying to settle the nervous energy buzzing in his chest. He glanced down the hall, checking for wandering eyes, before knocking again. āYo, D,ā he called, letting the last letter stretch with a singsong lilt.
The door creaked open, and there she was: Davina, standing in a tank top and sweats, one hand clutching her phone and the other already mid-roll of her eyes. āJey, what do you want?ā
Jey smirked, stepping inside before she could shut him out. āThatās how you greet me? Thought we were better than that.ā He nodded toward the half-packed suitcase sprawled on the bed. āYou leavinā me already?ā
Davina sighed, her fingers brushing a stray curl from her face. āHouse shows. You know the drill.ā
Jey shook his head, hands in his pockets as he sauntered over to the suitcase. āNah. Youāre not takinā that flight.ā
Her brows shot up. āExcuse me?ā
āGive me this.ā Without waiting for her permission, he snatched the suitcase and held it like a shield, stepping back when she reached for it.
āJey!ā She stomped a foot, a little stomp that made him bite back a grin. āWhat is your problem? I have a match tomorrowāā
āNot anymore,ā he cut her off, shrugging like it was no big deal. āChange of plans.ā
Davina planted her hands on her hips, her lips pressing into a line he knew too well. āWhat plans?ā
Jeyās heart thudded harder, but he kept his tone light. āLook, I got you. You donāt even gotta worry about paying for nothinā. Just grab your jacket, and letās go.ā
āGo where?ā She crossed her arms, her voice sharp now. āJey, you better start explaining before Iāā
He sighed, the weight of what he had to say making his shoulders sag. āSmackDown,ā he admitted.
Her silence hit him harder than her words ever could. Davina blinked at him, then laughed bitterly. āSmackDown?ā she repeated, like heād just suggested they fly to Mars. āJey,Ā no.ā
āD, come onāā
āNo,ā she snapped, her tone as firm as heād ever heard it. She took a step closer, trying to grab the suitcase again, but he shifted it behind his back. āGive me my stuff.ā
āNot until you listen,ā he said, his voice gentler now. āLook, I know you donāt wanna hear it. I know youāve been tryna stay outta this Bloodline mess, but Dāā
āDonāt,ā she interrupted, her voice wavering now. āDonāt bring them up. You know Iām notāā
āYou are,ā Jey insisted, his tone soft but unrelenting. āYou are blood, D. Just like Sami. And we need you.ā
āIām not blood,ā she shot back, her voice sharp again. āAnd I donāt care what Roman, or Solo, or any of them need. Iām done with it. Done.ā
Her words stung more than they shouldāve, but Jey didnāt let it show. He set the suitcase down, stepping closer until they were inches apart. āThis aināt about Roman,ā he said quietly. āThis is about me. About Sami. About family.ā
Davinaās gaze softened, but her jaw stayed tight. āFamily doesnāt call you nothing but a⦠a slutty opportunist when you walk away.ā Her voice cracked on the word, and Jeyās chest tightened.
āHey, nah,ā he said quickly, his hands gently gripping her shoulders. āDonāt even say that again. Thatās not you. Roman was hurt. He was wrong, but he donāt get to define you.ā
Davinaās eyes darted away, her lips trembling. āHe meant it, Jey. He meant every word.ā
Jey shook his head, his grip firm but warm. āYouāre Davina. Youāre the strongest, smartest, sweetest person I know. Donāt let what he said live rent-free up here.ā He tapped her temple lightly, earning the smallest twitch of a smile.
āJeyā¦ā
āListen,ā he said, his voice dipping softer now. āI know itās a lot. I know you donāt wanna go back to him. Hell, I donāt either most days. But Soloās out there actinā like heās the new Chief, and heās hurtinā everyone we care about. Roman, Jimmy, even Sami.ā
She flinched at Samiās name, and Jey seized the moment.
āYou think Sami donāt feel the same way you do?ā he asked, his voice thick with emotion. āYou think he aināt scared to face Roman again? But heās cominā, D. Heās cominā because he knows this aināt just about Roman. Itās about us. All of us.ā
Davina stared at him, her defenses crumbling bit by bit.
āPlease,ā Jey said, his voice barely above a whisper. āCome with me. Just to talk. Iāll be there the whole time. If Roman says somethinā stupid, Iāll knock sense into him myself. Just⦠donāt leave me hanginā, D. I need you.ā
The room was quiet for a long moment, the tension thick between them. Finally, Davina sighed, her shoulders slumping in defeat.
āFine,ā she muttered. āBut Iām doing this for you. Not Roman.ā
Jeyās grin was instant, his relief pouring out in a shaky laugh. āThatās all I needed to hear.ā
He grabbed her jacket from the back of a chair and held it out to her. āCāmon. Letās go before you change your mind.ā
As she slipped on the jacket, he caught her muttering something under her breath.
āWhat was that?ā
āNothing,ā she said quickly, though her cheeks flushed.
Jey smirked, his heart lighter than it had been in weeks. āYeah, okay. Whatever you say, D.ā
For the first time in what felt like forever, he felt like they had a shot at fixing things. Together.

Sami Zayn (platonic) x Fem!Black!Reader x Kevin Owens (platonic)
Summary: Torn between too many outfit choices, indecisive girlfriends and desperate to avoid any crazy fans discovering where you're staying, you call your best friends Sami and Kevin for a ride. The only problem? Your segment starts in 20 minutes, and includes both men, one of which (Kevin) now wants your head on a platter. Will you make it to the arena in time?
a/n: this is a total crack fic. I needed something to lighten up my life, and I hope this does the same for yours. Enjoy!
Time: 7:45 PM
Liv and Naomiās voices rang through the room like alarms.
āNo, the red dress!ā Liv screamed, holding her phone up to her face, her expression as intense as if lives were at stake.
āBut the silver set hasĀ thatĀ effect,ā Naomi countered, looking equally convinced, throwing her hands up on screen. āYou have a segment, youāve got to kill it, girl!ā
The pile of outfits on the bed was growing with every suggestion, clothes scattered around like some chaotic fashion explosion. The red dress, the silver set, heels that probably made a three-story building jealous ā all of it a blur. It wasnāt even the outfits. It was the fact thatĀ neitherĀ Liv nor Naomi could pick a single option.
āTheyāre both stunning, youĀ knowĀ youāll look amazing,ā Liv insisted.
āUgh! I canātā okay, last one. We need another outfit check,ā Naomi added, still flipping through options with wild enthusiasm.
A glance at the clock on the bedside table stopped everything.
8:50 PM ā Realization and Panic Mode
Silence.
SmackDown segmentā¦9:30 PM. Location? An arena across town. Youāre still at theĀ hotel.
āOH MY GOD, ITāS ALMOST NINE!ā
You let out a scream, cutting off Liv and Naomi, who are both shrieking with laughter and yelling at you toĀ HURRY. The Facetime screen goes black as you hang up, frantically dialing Samiās number, hoping to God he picks up.
8:50 PMĀ
Kevin Owens is done.Ā Beyond done.Ā He and Sami are in the locker room, scripts laid out, getting ready to run through the segment.
They both know itās going to be fire ā this whole āHonorary Uceā angle with Sami is gold, and theyāre practically buzzing with ideas. But thereās one problem: you aren't here.
You're never late. The woman shows up early for everything. You're also an absolute perfectionist about your wardrobe. So naturally, Kevinās mind starts running wild, thinking you had some disaster or something.
Sami sighs, running a hand through his hair. āKev, maybe sheās just...stuck somewhere?ā
And then, the phone rings.Ā FaceTime.
Kevin picks it up, and there you are, hair done, makeup on, looking good ā but very frazzled. Behind you, itās pure chaos. Outfits are everywhere, like a tornado went through her hotel room.
āOh my god, you guys, you guys!Ā Help!ā
Kevin felt a headache forming just from the sound of your panicked voice.
Okay, so you weren't in an emergency that required EMTs, but at this rate, Kevin was about ready to call someone for himself.
Samiās face softened, but even he looked a bit on edge. āWait...are you not on your way?ā he asked, his voice calm but with a very real hint of panic.
āIāIĀ was! I mean, I wasĀ aboutĀ to leave, but then Liv and Naomi... and thenĀ theyĀ couldnāt decide, andĀ IĀ couldnāt decide, and now IĀ donāt knowĀ what to wear!ā you rambled, looking as close to the verge of tears as Kevin had ever seen.
Kevin pinched the bridge of his nose, muttering under his breath. āSo youāre telling us...youāve beenĀ ready, but just canāt decide what to wear?ā
Sami tried to be encouraging. āOkay, breathe, itās not the end of the world. Just pick something, alright?ā
āBut I canāt just pick! I need anĀ opinion!ā You said the last word with all the desperation in the world, staring at them both through the screen like they held the answer to all your problems.
Kevin glanced at Sami. āHereās an opinion: Get. to. A. Car.ā
āBut Kevināā
āNope,ā Kevin interrupted, sternly. āNo more buts. Youāre getting to the arena right now. Do you understand?ā
You swallowed, nodding but still looking around at the tornado of options surrounding you.
"Fine. Butācould you guys maybe come and get me? Because if I take an Uber, some crazy fan might see me and figure out the hotelā¦remember last time! And I canāt walk there, andāandāā
āFine, fine! Weāre on our way,ā Kevin said, already grabbing his keys as he shoved the phone into his pocket, muttering the entire time. āThis woman, I swear...ā
Sami gave him a reassuring smile as they headed out the door. āLook, sheād do the same for us, right?ā
Kevin shot him a look. āSheād think about it. And then get sidetracked picking out shoes.ā
9:05 PM ā Hotel Room Tornado
Kevinās jaw drops when they finally arrive. You're spraying herself with perfume, the air so thick with it that it nearly chokes him. Your room looks like it exploded: dresses, shoes, accessories strewn everywhere.
āUh⦠so⦠what happened here?ā Sami asks gently, trying to mask his shock.
You whirled around, eyes wide, clutching a pair of heels. āI donāt know! It justā¦Ā spiraled! And I still donāt know what to wear. Can one of you reach up there and hand me that other perfume bottle?ā
Sami hesitantly reaches for the perfume. You snatched it, spraying yourself and the room like itās some kind of ritual.
Kevin finally steps in, grabbing the perfume bottle from you. āAlright, thatās enough! You already smell like a department store!ā
You paused, looking genuinely surprised. āReally?ā
āYes,Ā really,ā Kevin deadpans, barely hiding his amusement. āNow can we please pickĀ something?ā
Your eyes flicker between Kevin and Sami, desperate for some guidance. āPlease, IāmĀ begging. I need an opinion.ā
āListen,ā Kevin said, voice stern, āhereās an opinion: we need to get out the doorĀ now.Ā No moreĀ perfume. No moreĀ earrings. You look fine!ā
āButĀ whichĀ outfit?ā you begged, eyes wide and pleading, grabbing at another rhinestone-covered top from your pile.
Kevin rolls his eyes. He had his āstern dadā face you usually saw him have with his kids. āHereās another opinion:Ā Get. To. The. Car. Now.Ā So grab something,Ā anything, because weāreĀ notĀ missing this segment. Or I'll drag u out like this...ā
āOkay! Okay.ā You frantically nodded, grabbing a bag of clothes in a rush. But youāre still panicking, hopping on one foot as you try to fasten your heels. āWait,Ā wait! Do I go with the red dress, or the black one with the rhinestones, orāā
You were still struggling to get your heels on, and they are so tall that, for a moment, you almost fall over, your hands flailing as you try to balance.
Kevin let out a long-suffering sigh, walked over, and, with remarkable gentleness, scooped you up and tossed you over his shoulder.
āKevin!ā you yelped, laughing but still scrambling for your heels. "I have a skirt on!"Ā
āToo bad. You should have thought about that before making us late. Put those heels on in the car. We donāt have time for this, were goingĀ now!ā Kevin ordered as he carried you down the hall, Sami grabbing the bags and following behind.
9:15 PM ā En Route to the Arena
In the backseat, youāre still panicking, practically rummaging through one of your bags as you start asking questions they barely understand.
āWhich highlighter should I go for? Does this lip color look too bold? Should I touch up my eyeshadow? Sami, I need an opinion ā itās got to look fierce but not, you know,Ā tooĀ fierce.ā
Sami, bless him, actually humors you. āUh, Iād say⦠go for whatever makes you look the most⦠fierce but not too fierce?ā He shrugs, glancing at Kevin, who just rolls his eyes.
Kevin finally snaps, āHow about whatever lets us get out of this car on time?ā
9:25 PM ā Arena Locker Room
They dragged you straight to their locker room, not giving you a chance to second-guess.
Kevin stood by the door, hands on his hips. āAlright, pick one.Ā Now.ā
You fumbled through the options, but everything seemed like it could work. āI just need your guys' opinion!ā You begged, glancing between them.
Kevin gave you a look that was 50% done and 50% concerned.
He crossed his arms, sighing deeply. āMy opinion is..."
You gave him a hopeful look that almost made him feel bad.
"...Is one that gets us out of here and into the parking lotĀ now."
Your face dropped as Kevin continued.Ā "Triple H will have our heads if weāre late, and then no more budget for your endless outfits.ā
That actually seems to scare you into focus, and after a dramatic sigh, you look at Sami, eyes begging him to make the choice for you.
Sami, patience worn thin but still kind, grabs the first outfit he sees tossed onto the bench: a sleek black crop top with rhinestones and matching tight leather pants. āThis one. Itās simple, itās hot, and it doesnāt take a hundred hours to get into.ā
You hesitate for a second, looking at it, then at him, like youāre about to argue. Kevin doesnāt even give you the chance.
āBathroom. Change. Now.ā His expression is pure dad-mode, like thereās zero room for debate. He even points at the door for extra emphasis.
You huff, grabbing the outfit, muttering something about āfashion policeā as you dart into the bathroom. Kevin and Sami exchange a look, relief mixed with exasperation.
Finally, after what feels like forever (and more muffled muttering from you), you step out, fully dressed in the chosen outfit. Kevin gives you an approving nod, arms crossed. āThere. Perfect. See how easy that was?ā
"No." You pouted, going to get some perfume, but Kevin takes it from your hand once again, looking at you in disbelief. "No more perfume. You already smell like a whole store, now let'sĀ GO!"
You jumped at his tone, getting up and racing out the door. āFine, dad.ā
Sami gave Kevin a exasperated look before he followed you, mostly to steady you in your heels (you can barely ever run in them, so why you wore them Kevin will never understand)
Kevin watched you run both ahead, muttering to himself, āIf she pulls this again, Iām going toā¦ā He trailed off, clearly unable to hold back a fond smile despite the chaos.
9:29 PM ā Parking Lot Set for the Segment
They make it just in time, practically skidding into the parking lot where their segment is set to go live. Kevin and you go stand next to the car as Sami goes near the wall, waiting for his cue to walk up to the two of you.
You're still catching your breath, adjusting your top, as Kevin gives you a long, unimpressed look.
āIf you ever pull this againā¦ā
You didn't pull a stunt like that again for another five months, which for Kevin, was something he was actually proud of you for.
Summary: Kevin and Aaliyah knew as Sami's best friends they needed to snap Sami out of whatever this 'conspiracy theory' phase he was in. It was concerning. But Aaliyah is too sweet for her own good, Kevin is sick of it, and she ends up caught between the two men.
Kevin subsequently regrets asking Aaliyah for help.
a/n: trying my hand at original characters and sami x oc x Kevin instead of sami x reader x Kevin. don't be a silent reader!
Kevin paced back and forth in the dimly lit hallway, the faint sounds of the arena buzzing in the background. He ran a hand through his hair, glancing sideways at Aaliyah. Her deep brown eyes were filled with an uncertain softness, the kind heād come to expect from her. It was endearing, frustrating even, especially when he needed her to be as tough as possible.
āLiya, listen to me,ā Kevin said, stopping in front of her. āI need you to promise me youāll be harsh with him. Donāt sugarcoat it, donāt hold back. He needs to hear this, okay?ā
Aaliyah shifted on her feet, crossing her arms over her chest. She hesitated, lips parting to respond, but Kevinās sharp gaze cut her off before she could.
āPromise me,ā he said again, his voice firmer this time.
Aaliyah glanced back at Kevin as they stood outside Samiās door, her brows knitted in doubt. āYou really think we have to be that harsh, Kev?ā she asked, already hesitant.
Kevin folded his arms, giving her a sharp look. āYes. Heās out of control, and if you keep coddling him, heās never going to get back on track. We canāt have his conspiracy theories ruining everything heās worked for. Promise me, Liya. Be brutal.ā
Aaliyah bit her lip, nodding reluctantly. āFine. I promise.ā
Kevin held her gaze for another beat, satisfied, then knocked on the door. Within seconds, Sami opened up, his face lighting up instantly when he saw them.
Before Aaliyah could even react, Sami pulled her into a warm, tight hug. She hesitated, but her resolve wavered; she found herself hugging him back, patting his shoulder gently. Kevin sighed, rolling his eyes in a familiar expression of exasperation.
"Come in, come in," Sami said, ushering them inside with an enthusiastic grin. āThereās so much to catch up on. Iāve been gathering new info, and itās all starting to make sense. I think Iām onto something, guys. Finally.ā
They settled onto Samiās worn couch as he spread a stack of papers, maps, and scribbled notes over the coffee table, explaining each one with impassioned intensity.
As he looked at her with an earnest glint in his eye, Sami leaned forward, his voice a little softer. āAaliyah, you believe me, donāt you?ā
She opened her mouth, her resolve from earlier crumbling as she saw the vulnerability in his gaze. Kevin, sitting on the other side of her, narrowed his eyes, clearly catching her hesitation.
Kevin let out a heavy, pointed sigh. āOh, come on, Liya. Youāre not actually encouraging this, are you?ā
Aaliyah shot him a look, then turned back to Sami with a softer tone. āI just⦠I mean, Sami, maybe you have a pointāā
Kevin groaned, tossing his head back. āYouāre just being nice, Aaliyah! Tell him the truth for once. Quit coddling him.ā
Samiās eyes narrowed, his face darkening as he turned to Kevin. āSheās not coddling me, Kevin. Maybe she just gets it. Maybe sheās not trying to shut me down every second like you are.ā
Kevin rolled his eyes. āRight, because calling all this paranoia āa pointā is super helpful, Liya. If you keep playing the peacekeeper, heāll never face reality.ā
Kevin turned to her, his voice low and unyielding. āSay it, Aaliyah. Tell him the harsh truth. Now.ā
Her shoulders dropped, and she looked up at Sami, her expression full of that trademark softness. āI just⦠I donāt think everything youāre saying has proof, Sami. Kevās just trying to help you get back on track.ā
Aaliyah glanced between the two, clearly intimidated. Kevin continued to goade at her, and despite Samiās gaze turning even more hurt, her voice softened, but she forced herself to speak. āSami, Iāmaybe⦠maybe youāre a bit too focused on this. I mean, I donāt see any real evidenceāā
Before she could finish, Samiās eyes flashed with anger as he directed his glare back to Kevin. āOh, so thatās what this is about? Pushing her to turn on me too? You canāt stand anyone seeing things differently than you, huh, Kevin?ā
Aaliyah reached out a hand to Sami, trying to calm him down. āSami, heās just worried about you. We both are.ā
Samiās face hardened, and he didnāt believe her, looking straight at Kevin. āYouāre trying to make her say things just to push her away from me. Thatās what you do, Kevāyou manipulate.ā His voice was sharp, defensive, and he straightened up, crossing his arms as he glared.
Kevin rolled his eyes, not willing to let this spiral out. āOr maybe, Sami, Iām the only one here with the guts to tell you the truth while she coddles you and holds your hand.ā
Sami shook his head and looked back at Aaliyah, his voice softening immediately. āLiya, youāre not coddling me, are you?ā
Kevin sighed, this whole situation only confirming what heād known from the start. Aaliyah would always support one of their dumb ideas, no matter what. āYeah, of course sheās notāsheās too nice to tell you how she really feels. You know what, Sami? Letās make this real easy. You and me. In the ring. Sheāll ref, since she canāt seem to make up her mind. You win, sheāll listen to you; I win, she listens to me.ā
Sami raised an eyebrow, a frown tugging at the corners of his mouth as he crossed his arms. āFine by me. If thatās what it takes to get you and Liya to finally believe me, then yeah, Iām in. But donāt get mad when I win. ā
Aaliyahās face dropped. āUh? I didn't agree to this...ā She turned to Kevin, her eyes pleading, but he just shrugged.
āYeah, this is what you get for not listening to me,ā he muttered, grabbing her by the arm to lead her away, his patience visibly at its end.
Kevin clenched his jaw, shooting Aaliyah a glare. She was just too nice for her own goodāand for Samiās. How many times had she fallen into this trap, comforting Sami through every bad idea heād had? He wanted to trust her, to believe sheād do what was right, but seeing her hesitate every time Sami threw her those sad puppy-dog eyes was exhausting.
But to be fair, she supported and comforted him through every bad idea he ever had too.
As he marched her away from Samiās, he grumbled under his breath. āYou just had to play nice, didnāt you?ā
Aaliyah bit her lip, mumbling softly, āHeās going through a rough time, Kev.ā
Kevin groaned, practically feeling his patience wearing thinner by the second. He cared about her, more than she probably knew, loved her like a sister, loved that she was kind in a world that wa harsh, but she couldnāt keep sacrificing her own sense just to keep Sami happy. And now, thanks to her soft heart, she was referee in what was bound to be a disaster of a match.
āFine. But I swear, Aaliyah, if you take his side one more timeā¦ā
Summary: Jey has been trying to get you, his best friend to join him in The Bloodline. Will tonight finally be the night you listen to him?
TW: Typical wrestling violence, reader going to the medics.
A/N: The Jey bug got me, he is just too damn fine for me not to write for! š« Hope you guys like this! š
Jey watched as you got ready in the locker room, your SmackDown Women's Championship resting on a nearby table. You and Jey had been best friends for years, and he respected and admired your independence. But lately, he had been persistent in trying to convince you to join the Bloodline. He had this burning desire to protect you, and he knew he couldn't do it alone from the sidelines.
"Hey sweetheart.ā he began, leaning against the doorframe. "You know how strong we are together. Roman, Jimmy, Solo, me... We could dominate this whole place."
You smirked, raising an eyebrow. "I like doing things my way, Jey. You know that."
Jey smiled, shaking his head. "Yeah, I do. But think about it. Together, we'd be unstoppable. The family backing you.ā
You playfully rolled your eyes. "Being friends with Roman, Jimmy and Solo is enough āfamilyā for me."
Jey laughed, knowing you had your own reasons. "Alright, alright, I won't bug you about it too much. Just remember, itās always an option. And Iāll have your back either way. ā
You smiled at him. He was too sweet. āI've got a title to defend tonight against Asuka. But-" Your smile widened when he grinned in anticipation. "-you can keep trying to sway me after I kick her ass. I promise.ā
He nodded, still grinning widely. He moved past you and grabbed the title off of the table. You thought he would hand it to you, but he shook his head. "Nah, turn around." You rose a brow but complied. You felt his arms wrap around you as he leaned down to your height, feeling his cool hands on your skin while he fastened the championship around your waist.
You giggled when he playfully tugged at the strap of your title, swatting his hands away. He laughed with you, opening the door for you
The match was intense, and despite your determination, Asuka's offense was relentless. Neither of you let up. Just when you thought you had her right where you wanted her, Asuka's mist caught you off guard, blurring your vision. Despite the burning in your eyes, you managed to flip her over and roll her up for the win. The pain was intense though, and you were helped backstage by the medical team.
Jey rushed to the ring, concern etched on his face as he supported you. "You alright, sweetheart?"
You winced, leaning on him for support. "Damn, that mist stings like hell."
In the medical area, you cursed and fumed, furious at both the pain and Asuka. Jey held onto your arm, his touch grounding you amidst the chaos. "Easy, girl.āhe said, his voice soothing. "You got the dub, and we'll deal with Asuka later."
Asuka's taunts still echoed in your mind, her words gnawing at your temper. "I'm gonna rip her apart, Jey. Nobody messes with me like this."
Jey's hand cupped your cheek, his touch calming you. "I get it, uce. But you're a champ. You still won. You're stronger than this."
Your anger slowly subsided as you took deep breaths, your focus shifting from the pain to Jey's presence. "Thanks, Jey. You always know how to calm me down."
He grinned, brushing a strand of hair from your face. "That's what Iām here for."
You hesitated, looking at him thoughtfully. "You really want me to join the Bloodline, don't you?"
Jey nodded, his expression serious. "We're a family, you are my family, babygirl. We look out for each other. Imagine what we could accomplish together."
You sighed, leaning your head against his shoulder. "I'll think about it, okay? But no promises."
He chuckled, wrapping an arm around you protectively. "That's all I ask."
The adrenaline faded, the meds kicked and you let your eyes close, letting yourself relax in the arms of the person you trusted the most.
Jey looked down at your sleeping form and he couldnāt help but smile at you. You looked precious, even while sleeping. And he knew then and there that he wouldnāt be able to live with himself if you got hurt.
He tightened his arms around you, bringing you closer to him, and promised himself that even if you didnāt join the Bloodline, whatever decision you decide to make, that he would protect you with his life either way, his family be damned.
