I wish there was more weight given to Hathaway being Mirai’s child as much as he has the reputation of being the son of Bright Noa the famous war hero. Actually I wish there was more focus on Mirai and her family, since the Yashima built their wealth and connections through weapon development, space colony construction, and deals with the Federation, etc.

A spotlight on the Yashima family could have added an extra dimension to Hathaway as he grapples with his duty and identity as Mafty and reconciling it with being recognized as the child of two rich well connected war heroes, which has given him privileges the average person does not posses.
