sleeping in with your boyfriend, childe

the bright sun peered at you through your window. you squinted as it stung your eyes, getting up to close the curtains.

a soft hand around your waist gripped your shirt tighter. a quiet, tired hum emitted from childe’s lips, beckoning you to stay in his arms for just a bit longer.

“i’m just closing the window,” you reassured him with a small laugh. it was cute how he got worried the second you showed sign of leaving — it wasn’t often you got to spend time together like this, especially with his duty as a harbinger.

you got up to close the curtain. the room instantly felt much more comfortable, much more suited for sleeping. sitting back on the bed, you stopped to admire his features, cupping his cheek in your hand and brushing it gently.

a soft smile painted on your boyfriend’s face. laying back down, you placed a quick peck on his forehead, tucking his hair behind his ear before cupping his cheek again.

a small ray of sun managed to peek through the curtains, highlighting childe’s face perfectly. his eyelashes shone while his freckles looked even warmer.

“you’re so pretty, ajax,” you whispered lovingly while admiring his features. pink tinted his cheeks and the tips of his ears as he responded, “i’d never come close to you.”

this time, pink tinted your cheeks.

your shirt rode up while making your way back into his arms. a hand slid up, his fingers tracing circles into your back, whispering sweet nothings and compliments into your ear. you had your head tucked into his chest, with his other hand stroking and twirling your hair.

your hand cupped his cheek once again, thumb gently brushing his pale, soft skin. your eyes stared at each other for the last time before he pressed a kiss to your forehead, then your nose, and finally one that lingered on your lips.

though you both slept in till past noon, it felt like time had stopped. in those moments, the world had revolved around just the two of you, relaxed in each others arms.

you truly were his; and he truly was yours.

the end~ i actually liked writing this one a lot ... childe has been one of my favs since i started genshin haha so this was super comforting.. hope u enjoyed :D

i do! i try to keep all my works spoiler free, so that’ll apply here as well lolol but here’s some hcs!

futaba is pretty shy herself so i don’t think she’d have a problem with you being shy too

if anything she’d understand you best since she’s able to relate

having time alone with someone she trusts would mean so much to her, just the 2 of you hanging out together

since you’re both shy you’d probably stay at each others houses for dates, and at most somewhere more private (like a small cafe date)

i think these dates would include something like playing video games throughout the night, or having funny conversations together

very much enjoys physical affection together after warming up to it

and once she warms up to it she’d want to always be touching you somehow — whether it’s cuddling or just intertwining your pinkies

of course nothing you’re uncomfortable with, she’d make sure you’re fine with it beforehand

though i think she would take a bit for you both to open up if you weren’t already that close

and lastly, she might close herself off if she gets overwhelmed, or whenever she’s in a bad mood, so be patient and don’t be afraid to try and comfort her

overall she’d be more than happy with a shy s/o since she’s shy as well~ but be patient with each other

she’s more private with herself so i feel like she’d be most comfortable with someone who isn’t too outgoing

since she also fits the goody two shoes kind of trope she’d definitely admire you following the school rules yk

really grateful that you managed to open up to her especially since you’re shy

to add onto that she’d be grateful that she’s able to open up and be comfortable around you as well

anyone could see she’s almost a completely different person with you

huge soft spot for you ... and like i said anyone could see LOL

she’s very strict around everyone else since she’s more of a perfectionist, but makes an exception for you

little example of this: if ryuji were to ask for homework help she’d probably scold him for not paying attention ... but if YOU were to ask for homework help she’d come over and teach you step by step

she’d be very patient with you as well — if you ever needed time to yourself, she’d try to get you to talk about it gently & would never push your boundaries

and lastly for physical affection she’d really like it but only in secret! would never admit she wants hugs or anything & you’d have to figure it out for yourself

overall makoto would be kind & gentle with you~ as sweet as she already is she manages to get even sweeter with you

sea and maple was all you could smell; a familiar scent, the one only worn by kazuha. one you could recognize with ease.

kazuha had been out late with the crux, drinking in liyue to celebrate their victory after a hard-fought battle with a sea monster. you decided to stay back on the ship to watch over the children, reassuring him that you’d be fine on your own.

truth is, you were exhausted after that hard-fought victory, and after ushering the kids to sleep, you couldn’t help but drift off yourself. eyelids heavy, you dragged your tired body off to bed, too drowsy to keep waiting.

here you were now, the familiar scent and feeling of kazuha filling your senses; his arms wrapped around your body, tucking you into his chest with one hand tangled in your hair. his chest rose and fell against your head while as he slept peacefully with you in his arms.

and with that, the song of his heartbeat lulled you back to sleep.
