When Jon said “I’m not a Stark” Sansa said to him “You are to me”. When Theon was so broken from Ramsey and said “My name is Reek! Reek!” Sansa said to him “You’re name is Theon Greyjoy. Last surviving son of Balon Greyjoy, Lord of the Iron Islands”. Sansa was so proud when Jon was made King In The North and had fought to try and keep Jon’s title while he was away and still defends it after he swore Allegiance to Danaerys. Sansa told Bran you are the Lord of Winterfell and would have given him Winterfell without a second thought. Sansa told Tyrion that he was the best of her husbands. Sansa took her direwolf pin and placed it upon Theon so that he could die as he never got to live, a true Stark. Sansa walked up to the Hound and told him that if she had gone away with him she would have always been a little bird. Sansa has been abused and manipulated repeatedly by men and still manages to bring out the best in them. Sansa is the strongest character in Game of Thrones because she manages to not only endure but to inspire those around her to be their best versions. Sansa doesn’t need an Iron throne or a title to be a leader and be loved. Sansa is already a ruler and those who love her will defend her to their death. Sansa is what the people will need after the dust from all the wars settles in.

Tina Goldstein’s Braid

Colleen and Katherine said before the event of FBAWTFT, Tina’s hairsytle is a long hair with braid (1910s trend).

Then, bob became a trend in 1920s and she had self-cut her hair into a bob style with Queenie’s help. That’s why her bob on the first film is so simple.

I just curious how her braid looks like. And then I make a quick lazy sketch of it lol. Based from her hair on first film, I imagine how she’ll looks like with longer hair and braided.

Newt Scamander is a shit person~ he created the Werewolf Registry and helped pass other anti-werewolf legislation that made all werewolves lives infinitely harder, making it hard for them to find housing (thus a safe place to transform), jobs, etc.

((OOC: One decision does not ultimately condemn a person. There are many perspectives to have on werewolves as each is different. Compare Remus Lupin and Fenrir Greyback. You don’t want life to be hard for Remus, we all want what is best for a werewolf that has no desire to hurt any one, and yes the discrimination toward him as a person is awful and unfair. But what about Fenrir, a werewolf who has no regard for human life and bites human children for fun. Should he not be registered and monitored? In Fantastic Beasts, Newt clearly states that he wants to protect magical creatures, educate his fellow wizards about them, even if they are indeed seen as dangerous. Why would this change for werewolves? And you can also view it as Mr. Scamander trying to place a buffer between human and werewolf, to protect the general public (because they are in fact, considered a different breed). Other witches and wizards perpetuate the stigma and the persecution of werewolves and that may be because of the registry, or it may be traditional (like the stigma around Muggle-borns) which is more likely. It’s a difficult political situation over all. What human rights apply to a transformed werewolf? How much freedom should be given to a person that regardless of free will turns into a monster that’s only objectives are to bite another person to make more werewolves or kill? The fact is that: a Registry seems like a good idea. Even Animagi have a registry. But again, it’s the witches and wizards in society who maintain the maltreatment and discrimination of werewolves as a whole. Surrounding witches and wizards make their livelihood harder. Remus is on the Registry and still got a job at Hogwarts. Not one of the parents or students knew he was a werewolf. It wasn’t until Snape told the whole school, did they speak out against him. And who knows if Newt had a personal resentment toward them? All I know is that it sounds very uncharacteristic to say that he hates them and wants to oppress them. It would make sense to have a few anti werewolf precautions (also I only found the Registry for werewolves under him and there was no other information about more anti-werewolf legislation that he passed). I dunno… Food for thought.))

This is a super important read. Don’t forget to question Newt though. People change as they age. He could have become darker, we don’t know yet. Question his motives. Remember he created the registry. Remember that your faves can be problematic. :)

the thing is, and I believe Laina pointed this out already, some times people create things THINKING it’ll benefit others and don’t fully consider the consequences. It can also be an idea of having good intent behind an idea and it gets twisted into this corrupt thing. This happens with plenty of social and political movements. It doesn’t necessarily mean that people “turned dark.“ In our eyes, looking back on their choices, yea, those kinds of people absolutely suck. But in the context of the moments they were living in they were regarded and “heoric.“

The first thing I can think of (purely as an example) is interment camps. Specifically, the U.S’s interment of the Japanese Americans in WWII. We, in our current society KNOW that this kind of shit is wrong. But in the context of the time period, whether we like it or not, they were made to make people feel safe. The intention was considered “ good” , but NOW? Now it’s the biggest embarrassment of our history. (Because it made us no better than the whack-job who decided to incarcerate and kill Jews JUST for looking and believing a certain way.) The problem is that we had to LEARN that shit like that is wrong. We had to make that mistake.

There is no such thing as a perfect choice. But that’s why history lessons are taught so that we hopefully don’t make the same mistake.

The same can be applied to a fictional history. you’re right, we don’t know Newt’s motivations for creating the werewolf registry. Considering there are apparently more movies to come, I hope we DO learn why it’s created. I want to see his motivations. I want to see him struggle what route to take when making that decision. I want to know EXACTLY why he did it and what his intentions were behind it.

And I swear to fucking god if I don’t see it I will be SO disappointed. It’s very significant. I’m ACHING to know why it happened.

Ok but a society cannot function in a healthy way when they have created a proverbial “other”. This is where racism and sexism and Xenophobia stem from. As evolutionary creatures we all have a death anxiety, and when death anxiety is provoked studies have shown that people lash out violently at anything that does not fit into their world view or is not like them. Things like the werewolf registry further separate werewolves from regular witches and wizards to the point that they lose their humanity. They can become something that people lash out at in fear.

The other question is how long can you treat someone like a monster before they become one? Or even how long can a people group live while being treated like second class citizens before they lash out? Yes werewolves can be dangerous, but so can sociopaths, and people with ptsd, and schizophrenics. But we treat them like people who need help. Not like monsters to be caged. And I do agree that Newt may have been a man of time on this issue. But even though he is a hero in the wizarding world his opinions can and should still be questioned. Also being a werewolf and being an animagus are completely different things. So I don’t think their registries should be tied to one another.

Here’s the real tea: A female character has to bend over backwards to prove herself as a “good” character. If she stands up for herself: she’s a bitch, if she is confident: she’s vain, if she has emotions: she’s a mess, if she’s naive: she’s dumb, if she’s ambitious: she’s mad.

And all male characters have to do is be hot and all the fans are like “OMg😍ILY❤️😍❤️💖 fuck meeee 🤩😝😝”

If a female character pines for a male character, she’s weak and dependent. If a male character pines for another male character, he’s deeply in love and it’s painted as sweet. Tonks gets attacked for being depressed when her heart is broken in HBP, but I’ve read countless slash fics in which one character falls completely apart, stops eating and sleeping, over rejection and it’s meant to be seen as romantic.
