The Healer of Dragon Age, created by Simon, he/him, 30+, because he cannot be stopped. Small(ish) write up below the cut.

During his time as an Evanuris he goes through Three names.

The Healer -- The Miracle -- The Martyr.

And all three are struck out by Elgar'nan

The Healer -- originally a spirit of sacrifice, he healed others by taking the damage onto himself to repair the bodies of the others. With this type of healing skill his own regeneration was massively boosted, allowing him to take on injuries that would kill others and live through it. He gained a very strong following simply by being so giving and not hesitating when it came to taking damage on to spare the people.

The Miracle -- As soon as the war between the Evanuris begins he very quickly sides with the rebels, and a lot of the early success is because of him, not because of his fighting ability but because any rebel that makes it back injured can be sent right back out fully healed. There were also some occasions where he went alongside them and took on any damage they received as they received it.

The Martyr -- At some point the Evanuris discovered that he was the reason the rebel numbers haven't been dwindling as quickly as they liked and a plan was made to draw him out and handle him personally. Someone ( Felassan ) is used to lure him out, suffering through the use of blood magic and torture that The Healer takes on unendingly until his body can't anymore. Once his healing and strength had reached it's limit, Felassan was released so The Healer could be fully destroyed.

Or so they thought.

ASSAD ZAMAN as Armand Interview with the Vampire

While nearly every depiction of Ladar from before the war has been thoroughly destroyed, a few remain from the ages after. These depictions were created not from memory but imagined from the stories told by those who knew him. Mostly ( Entirely ) Felassan.

The remaining relics and reliefs are separated by time and travel both, carried across Thedas by the clan that revered him. Stranger still than the distance between them is the difference in the depictions themselves.

In one, he's painted with one body with three disconnected heads. The first head is neutral, matching the body in colour, the next is golden and joyful, but the last is upside down, shaded only with the smudged back of the outline.

In another he yet again has one body, but his arms split into three at the elbow. One set of hands reaches out palms up. The next set is reaching up with it's hands clasped together. The last set of hands are settled around his throat.

The last remaining piece is a carved stone statue depicting three frames standing together, shoulder to shoulder to create a triangle. In this their hands are clasped together, but the difference between them comes from their posture. One figure stands straight and looks forward, another is looking up with it's shoulders pinched, leaning back. The last figure however is shown with it's head hanging and it's posture beginning to slouch.

Each depiction while being different in design and style all show the same shared story as it's the only one they know of this forgotten god.

The Healer, Reaching Out, Helping One. The Miracle, Holding Strong, Protecting All. The Martyr, Falling.

When Ladar heals you ( and it is when, he cannot keep himself from doing so ) the sensation is entirely different from the current feeling of both spirit healing and medicine. There is no stitching, no sensation of your body doing the work to put itself back together, no throbbing or strain. Instead the sensation is like that of putting your hand into a river, the pain of the injury turning to the feeling of cold running water that moves from where the damage had been all of the way to where Ladar has touched, leaving nothing in it's place.

The sensation is the opposite for him. From the point of contact to where the injury settles as he takes it on, the rushing water is boiling in it's heat. And though he will never do it as long as his mind and being remains uncorrupted, this is the sensation that would accompany him pushing his collected damage onto someone else.

🎭 : how different are they with strangers versus people they trust?

There is no difference in near every way that matters.

Ladar treats everyone as if they had known each other all along, his trust and affection are a given, not something that needs to be earned. With sacrifice at the core of his being it would go against everything he is to not give his all to everyone that he meets. The danger is there that this view of the world beyond the veil could put him in some very unfortunate situations, but even in these there is nothing else that he would even think to do beyond help.

The only distinction between strangers and those he personally knows is the level of distance in the way that he speaks, though even that is short lived. The shift from the tone of a god to the gentle cadence of a friend can come as quickly as the exchange of names.
