Wild how some blokes think women only go for the most boring, generic, triangular trust fund men when meanwhile, over in the Dragon Age fandom, we are absolutely feral for this parade of glorious mess

I like to imagine that Iron Bull was so nonchalant after those dudes attempted to assassinate him that nobody even bothered to report it to Cullen. You know, the guy whoโs in charge of the defense of Skyhold.
Cullen is just walking the battlements when he stumbles upon the dead body of the first assassin. And heโs like,ย โWhy is there a dead body lying in the middle of the battlements?โ
And one of the random scouts/soldiers whoโs always hanging out there goes,ย โOh, thatโs one of the guys who tried to assassinate Iron Bull.โ
And Cullen is just like:
Me: I really hope Solas doesnโt die in the next game and that we can redeem him.
Them: He is literally going to kill so many people and is basically the devil.
Me:
Help Iโm dying

Stubborn is as Stubborn Does
Summary:
The word of the day is choice, but for Haldir there is no choice. You are his Fae Gwedh, his soul mate, and he will stand by you forever. You on the other hand, were transported from a very modern world, and a not so great situation, into the equivalent of the middle ages with three brothers. After a hundred years, with little interaction from the outside world, youโre more than a little surprised when Gandalf sends you and your three younger brothers to Helms Deep for protection. When the location leads to you meeting an elf, and a touch leads to a bond, you set out on an adventure that you were sure youโd never have. And with more than a few tough decisions ahead, you know things are going to change, and hopefully it will be for the better.
ย ย ย โI like it here.โ
ย ย ย The statement catches you off guard, and your eyes flit to your youngest brother. โAnd what do you like about a set of caves?โ
ย ย ย โItโs like camping.โ
ย ย ย You smile, โAnd what do you know about camping?โ
ย ย ย โIโve been before, with Papa, and Henry, and Will.โ You smile at the eight year old.
ย ย ย โYou were very little then, are you sure you remember?โ You watch as he nods eagerly, before going off to find the other children his age. Your eyes flit around the caverns of Helmโs Deep. It was filled to the brim with women, and children too young to hold a sword. Your eyes flit to your charge, Sam had narrowly escaped being dragged to the walls. Henry and Will had not been so lucky.
ย ย ย Not for the first time you cursed whatever had brought you from the comforts of your world to this one. Things had been far from perfect, sure, but they had been better than this. Youโre broken out of your thoughts by the sound of a horn. You watch as the lady Eowyn reappears and announces, โThe elves have come to our aid!โ
ย ย ย You can feel the hope flood through the caverns but you know it wonโt last. Your eyes search for Sam just in time to see him slip past a distracted shield maiden and up the stairs and out of the caverns. Youโre on your feet a moment later, moving through the crowds after him. Henry and Will can take care of themselves, but Samโฆ Sam was a soul that was too pure for the world. Heโd never met a stranger, and heโd had a morbid fascination with the world theyโd been dropped in.
ย ย ย Thereโd been no sadness from him. No anger at the loss of a home or their possessions. Heโd simply smiled and said, โWell at least weโre together!โ
ย ย ย Eowyn smiles as you approach the door, and it only takes one word to explain things, โSam.โ
ย ย ย She gives you a sympathetic smile before following you up the stairs. The cold air is an unwelcome addition to the night, and the dark makes it hard for you to find him. It takes nearly a minute to see Sam break out of the crowd to stop in front of the army of elves. The one in the lead looks at him strangely, and you can see the King struggling for some sort of recognition, the last time heโd seen you heโd been under Sarumanโs spell, but Sam tended to make an impression.
ย ย ย You watch, not at all shocked when he holds out his hand and says, โHi, Iโm Sam. Iโve heard that elves are immortal, is that true? And if so, how old are you?โ ย ย ย You slump a bit where you stand, and your eyes flicker to Eowyn who is trying to hold back laughter. You shoot the woman a glare, โHeโs trying to kill me.โ
ย ย ย She shakes her head, โHeโs merely curious, and asks what the rest of us are afraid to.โ
ย ย ย โAnd one of these days he will get us killed.โ
ย ย ย Youโre getting ready to move forward when he responds, โI am well over 3000 years, young one.โ
ย ย ย You watch Sam nod, before responding, โIโm only eight.โ
ย ย ย Laughter fills both sides of the armies, as Aragorn and another elf appears. Samโs lips purse and he asks, pointing at the new elf, โAre you older than him?โ
ย ย ย A new ring of laughter breaks out, and the new elf smiles, โHe is only older by a century or two.โ
ย ย ย Sam nods, โInteresting.โ
ย ย ย Thatโs when his eyes settle on you. He smiles and waves, before turning to the elves, โI have to go, thatโs my sisterโs โyouโre in big troubleโ look.โ
ย ย ย โAnd why are you in trouble, little one?โ
ย ย ย โI snuck out of the caves without telling her. But I wanted to see you.โ
ย ย ย He nods, and smiles, โWell it was very nice to meet you, Sam . Shall we return you to your sister?โ
ย ย ย Your eyes stay focused on your brother as the elf takes his hand and leads him up the steps. Your hands stops Eowyn from leaving as Sam breaks from the elfโs hand, gets a running start, and jumps. You catch him in your arms easily, having long grown used to the games he played. You nod to the elf, before Aragorn comes up behind you, โGandalf sent you this way?โ
ย ย ย You nod, โHe paid us a visit on his way out. Apparently his new clothes come with an attitude change as well.โ
ย ย ย Aragorn nods, โThe others?โ
ย ย ย โAre around here somewhere. They volunteered to fight.โ
ย ย ย Aragorn smirks, โI donโt imagine that sat well with you.โ
ย ย ย You sigh, โYouโve trained them. Theyโre of age. They have dreams of grandeur in their heads.โ
ย ย ย โYour distaste for war still weighs heavily on you then?โ
ย ย ย โIโve stitched you up enough time Aragorn that I know my distaste for things means very little in this world.โ
โAnd yet your ability to shoot is greater than that of most men. Itโs funny how the things we hate always seem to come back to make us fools.โ
โAre we speaking of my hatred for war, or your distaste of your birthright?โ ย
He smiles, โBoth. Would you be willing to fight?โ
You watch Eowynโs face fall, โYou ask me to join a battle when you do so of no other
woman?โ
ย ย ย โNo other woman here has been in battle. And I highly suspect, that you have come prepared for just that.โ
ย ย ย You shift Sam on your hip, before dropping the coy act, โWhere do you need me?โ
ย ย ย โChange, and come find me, and I shall let you know.โ
ย ย ย You turn without another word, marching back into the caves before setting Sam down. Ever oblivious you watch him run off, as Eowyn links her arm with yours, โHe will let you fight?โ
ย ย ย โApparently.โ
ย ย ย โYou have been to war before? When? I do not remember a war for many years.โ
ย ย ย โIt did not take place here.โ
ย ย ย โHow do you know Aragorn?โ
ย ย ย โWe were introduced many years ago by Gandalf, when he needed aid. He and the other rangers find shelter with us occasionally. Theyโre who taught Will and Henry how to fight.โ
ย ย ย โAnd who taught you how to fight?โ
ย ย ย You blink at that question, โLife. Life taught me how to fight.โ
ย ย ย You locate your pack easily, before you slip away to change. The armor that had been given to you was leather. It was easy to move in, and durable. You slip a green tunic on underneath it to provide you with some cover against the cold and wind. You adjust your hair for fighting, before grabbing the bow and arrows youโd hidden earlier. Eyes flit over you as you walk through a parted crowd. Sam stands near the front, holding Eowynโs hand. You stop in front of him, โYou are not to leave Eowynโs side, do you understand me?โ
He nods, โCome home safe.โ
You nod, before heading out into the wind, Aragorn is waiting for you. โIt has been a long time since we have fought together.โ
โNearly ten years.โ
โAnd yet you have not changed.โ
โI have โฆ a little.โ
โHow little?โ
โPerhaps a year, is what Gandalf thinks.โ
โOne year for every hundred. And they call me long lived.โ
โIt is a curse, Aragorn. We hide away, hope that we are not seen. Or go into a city for a
few years until they realize that we are not aging, and then we disappear.โ ย
ย ย ย โAnd so on goes the pattern.โ
ย ย ย You nod, โWe do not belong with men, we certainly do not belong with elves, what does that leave us with? Dwarves? Hobbits?โ
โI should think the hobbits would welcome you warmly.โ
You shake your head, โWe are far from home Aragorn, have been for nearly a hundred years. We fill our days, and we are together. That is what matters.โ
He nods once as you approach the rest of the battalion, โIโve placed you with the elves. Youโre as good a shot as they are.โ
You sigh, โIโve had enough practice.โ
You walk to the edge of the wall as the lightning starts to flash. And with the first streak you see the first signs of the army. A feeling of dread settles over your shoulders, and you prepare for the oncoming war.
Can I argue that loki is laufeys son because he was left in the temple with the casket, Jotunheims most valued treasure, and if loki was 'abandoned' it's only because Odin severely wounded or killed the guards?
โyou were left to die because, as a baby, you were small and weak. oh and then i just happened to be in the region and saved youโ yeah i think we just need to accept that odin is a lying liar who lies and that the recount odin gave was very fake.ย
Love love love these tags. I want to watch LIEBusters!
Expanding on the idea that Loki is the only one running the arts on the planet, at the end of each season there is a mock recap episode where Loki recreates the actual events which occured as a satire and this is exactly what the script of such episodes look like.ย
I would also love to watch LieBusters
