I did something.. I have been working on this piece on and off for quite a while. Last week, I saw on PixelLounge that they have a monthly event with the theme: "Ocean." Submissions can be send until the 31st of March.
Hence why I went back to this wip. However, I made it infinitely harder for myself by expanding the canvas, making a more elaborate background sketch, with only 6 days left till the deadline.
Will I finish this before then? Highly unlikely!
But will I try? Definitely

Apologies for taking so long to answer this!
When I was still on Deviantart, I loved the pixel art community over there. Unfortunately a lot of the artists I followed and interacted with, have gone on to do other stuff. Currently I'm on Bluesky and am watching/loving a lot of pixel artists over there. They are really awesome, and am compiling multiple lists of the artists in separate categories.
@kawaiihannah is someone that inspired me all the way back, when I first made pixel art, so I can't forget to mention her!
@pixelartjourney is an amazing pixel artist that definitely deserves a shout out. As does @rhlpixels, who I've followed since Deviantart.
Honestly, there's so many out there, with big and small amounts of followers that deserve to be listed here.
