Summary: After the wedding, it took Aamir a while to get used to sleeping with a woman. In that sense, yes, but also in the perfectly acceptable sense of there was someone in the bed with him now. 

He’d pull the blankets towards him, only for them to get tugged back. He’d roll over, and find another person there. It was an adjustment, and it was one he was only too happy to make because this was his wife. But needless to say, he was sleeping a little lighter than he used to.

Not that it mattered because when the screaming started he figured nothing short of chloroform could have him sleep through that. He shot up in bed, waking up Tyesha from where she’d been resting her head on his chest.

isn't it crazy that kickin' it has an episode where two fifteen year olds are tricked into filming a movie where they fight grown ass adult warriors, run from wild dogs, "dodge spears & escape traps" [according to kim because this is an off-screen event], presumably spend several hours in this fake? forest with no food or water & are told that one of them has to kill the other to survive? and this still isn't the most intense episode of the series?

Time for my semi-annual interest in Disney XD(? I think I don't think this was Disney Channel)'s Kickin It (get ready for so many question marks and capitals)

Now I loved this show, don't get me wrong, but I'm going back and watching old clips, and suspension of disbelief is real and required They??? got into??? so many fights??? and like no shit the point of the show is that it is a karate show but like -- at prom???? in the school???? many times in a public mall????? I know there are never parents in Disney shows but like... where are the parents??? I know they signed up their kids for Karate but are they never like... how was your day? Oh good, I was scouted for a reality TV show that turned out to be a bunch of adults trying to kill me????

also ngl I feel for every other student who was not involved in Karate and every now and then yup, never mind, not going into the cafeteria the TWO RIVAL KARATE DOJOS are going at it again for some reason given that one of them WINS EVERY TIME -- I don't think any of the school administrators get involved ever??? which like fair, I guess, because the good dojo ALSO FIGHTS ADULTS???? Like a lot of the time. Dock workers, ninjas, weird like marketing people/film makers every adult in this series is here to fight children and lose.

There was also yellow-face??? And I cannot remember or figure out if it was canonical or real -- like is Bobby Wasabi canonically a white man posing as a Japanese man who is also a action film star (thereby doing yellow-face in universe) or is he supposed to be a Japanese man and Disney just... got a white actor (thereby doing yellow-face in our universe) -- I genuinely do not know.

There was an evil robot. A bad timeline episode that might've been a canonical couple month timeline -- I do not remember I just remember Bad Things Happening in the Dojo -- canonically in between seasons they were secret agents for the US government? It was kind of integral to the launch of Olivia Holt's career? 2/3 of the Lab Rats siblings guess starred?

the "father, can i ask you something?" scene is one of the best tonal shifts i've seen lately. the way the scene changes from being chaotic, messy and hilarious into something so serious and important is so well written and performed. you can literally see the shift in the energy when she asks father jud if she can pray for him, and when he tells her that HE is with her instead of god... it's so well done !! the movie does a great job at highlighting the importance of faith in some people's lives while also criticizing what is reprehensible about religion, without attempting to change benoit blanc's disbelief in the church and religion at all. pretty neat.

The timeline in Wicked act 2 is wild. Pour one out for Fiyero, who in the space of 24 hours:

Attends his own massive engagement party/wedding

Travels fully across the country

can you all imagine what was going through OZ's head when Ronnie was yelling at everyone

he probably has heard about what karadec went through after Ronnie basically abandoned him.

maybe he and karadec are close enough that he has told him some of it, how he expected Ronnie to have his back, and be there for him, how hurt he was because what he did went against everything a partner should stand for.

and he dares come back to the house he abandoned, the partner he left to fend for himself, he dismisses Morgan without a second thought, walks all over to him, and then he DARES RAISE HIS VOICE TO HIS PARTNER? That was it.

"NO that is my partner you are talking to, choose your words carefully," that is the least threatening thing he could probably come up with.

How each member of the Major Crimes team handles babysitting Morgan’s kids:

Soto: Great for harder than usual babysitting jobs (Chloe’s sick, Ava’s moody cause she got dumped, Elliot’s hyperfocusing on chemistry this week and has accidentally set his room on fire twice…) The kids like her, but hate that they can’t convince her to break any of their mom’s rules.

Daphne: Ava’s fav - during the hostage situation Daphne was the one who comforted Ava when Morgan had to leave her side to do investigative work. Ever since, Ava has adored Daphne.

Oz: The kids love him cause he’s more flexible with the rules than the others. But he’s good at not pushing it too far and getting in trouble with Morgan. The one exception was when he, Ava, and Elliot did a video game tournament and Morgan came home at 2 AM to find Ava and Elliot still awake and kicking Oz’s butt at Mario Kart.

Karadec: Pure, unmitigated chaos. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Honestly, his babysitting style isn’t different from his coworkers’, it’s just that a) he has rotten luck and b) the kids somehow manage to outwit him every time.

(But if Morgan is scared her kids are in danger, Karadec is the one she calls. She trusts everyone on her team and knows they’d protect her kids with their lives. But Karadec is her partner, and the person she trusts most of all. So if there’s trouble, she makes sure her kids are safe with Karadec.)

ok bc Tumblr is evil and didn't like me talking about Morgan & oz friendship on my previous post (it just straight up deleted my bullet point and wouldn't let me add it back???) imma yap a lil about it here

anyway, I really enjoyed seeing them be more friends this ep and interact more. I love that they've gotten closer, albeit under pretty traumatizing circumstances. not only is it representative of how Morgan is becoming even more a part of the major crimes family, it's also showing how the gamemaker is affecting everyone as well.

i also just love the idea of Morgan & oz friendship. oz is so good with kids and Morgan has literally deposited Chloe into his care on multiple occasions, and I feel like they've built a kind of trust with each other over the episodes and it just came together nicely in 2x01 when oz kept supporting Morgan in her gamemaker theory when other people weren't.

these two make me siiiiiick, affectionately. as someone who is aroace and on the autism spectrum, i'm unable to feel or experience romantic attraction at all. so relying on fandoms and their characters are usually my go to as a sort of placebo (which i have been told is normal. it's like learning by example, though i'm never going to feel it outside of said example) but these two? i have never felt this giddy over fictional characters EVER! they're so well written, they're not automatically flirting or conveniently in a situation where they are so close to having a kiss/intimate moment of any kind. this show was MADE for these characters. they're real, they're steady, and they're not the cliche will they won't they with any cliffhangers. they're just THEM. if that makes sense?? there's no pressure, there's no "oh many they were so close to kissing until someone walked in and they had to part" type of situation. it's just Morgan and Karadec, doing their job and getting to know each other. going through things and finding that they're not at odd ends like they started out. it's growth, it's slow burn, and it's real. and THAT is how you not only write a duo, but how you write a character. they're complete opposites that fit each other better than yin and yang ever could.

(also look at that image. i'm not pushing them into a ship or anything, i just think it's nice how he looks at her. not as a woman, a cleaning lady, or a potential love interest. but as an equal in her own way.)

I don't think I'm like a Morgan x Adam shipper I'm just kind of along for the ride if that's what the show decides to do, but like this post and them reminds me of that video that's like the enemies to lovers trope/rivals to lovers is a power fantasy about women being taken seriously. Because you aren't enemies with someone you take seriously. And like... right???? Bc Karadec didn't take Morgan seriously initially first and she didn't take him seriously either but they got to know each other as capable individuals and now they do take each other seriously and not only that but defend each other's capabilities to third parties which is just such lovely relationship growth.

Do you think that if articles about a potential future plot development in a show that don't just talk about "teasing" it directly but teasing the potential or possibility of it, that that means that plot development's going to definitely happen and they're just trying to ease people into the idea with vague wording?

I ask because I've seen that regarding the idea of a love triangle for Morgan on High Potential and even if I weren't a polycrimes shipper I kinda don't like the idea because I'm afraid it not just "locks in" the endgame romantic options when S2 would be too early to do so but in doing so would make it so until she chooses one for the rest of the series Morgan's non-family-related B-plots have to be kept going by injecting more pointless drama into the triangle and I don't want it taking over the show to the point where, like, there's "team"s enough to sell official merch and fans of one end up hatemail-ing the actor playing the other guy etc. etc.

This might just be me but I just don't know who's in the love triangle -- Morgan and Karadec I have to assume is one option -- is the other Tom? Like they were cute but he moved which feels like the show being like nope not this one. Ludo? Seems weird they seem good in the platonic section. Roman???? Who's the other side of this triangle? Oz???? Daphne??? But yes also agree w/op I don't want a love triangle. And I know like the french show has Morgan and Karadec ending up together and I would be chill with that but I'd also be chill with not that, I like their current dynamic of work partners who infuriate each other but in the best way possible.
