that caption bugs me so much now, bc blaine’s hair isn’t a ‘weirdly specific thing’. blaine was literally forced to stop gelling his hair for prom, which stated made him incredibly uncomfortable. and when he DID he got insulted. a lot of the jokes towards blaine’s hair is racist, it makes me think that blaine wore the gel to assimilate. that he was taught to believe his natural hair wasn’t good enough so he had to make sure he controlled that.
