i’m always on my own | @pencil-n-pen
your family is in town for the annual ‘parents berating their kids for their decisions’ get together. jack overhears you talking about how much easier it would be if you had a boyfriend to shove in their face, and offers his services. No strings attached, of course.

Grovelling and Bad Timings | @/asawanitrinitysantos
A tense argument before their shift leaves you and Jack barely speaking—until he corners you in a storage room, stumbling through a sincere (and slightly desperate) apology. Though you forgive him, he sticks close like a guilty puppy, the tension not fully gone. When you’re both called to pediatrics, you effortlessly comfort a frightened child with a dinosaur plushie.
What The Living Owe Each Other | @softseasun
After a quiet, late-night argument in the kitchen, you retreated to bed before anything is resolved. Jack won’t let the night close over something unfinished between you. He never does, not since he learned at the worst possible price what it costs to leave the true thing unsaid.
can we start over?, part 2 | @an-abysma1-0bserver
Jack finally introduced you, his girlfriend, to the Pitt. This is the aftermath.
The crying Angel | @10ava01

All that keeps you going is adrenaline and the voice of your husband over the phone.
HE WHO HOVERS ! | @/of-apollo
The ER is not a pleasant place to work when you’re six months pregnant. The constant check-ins from your coworkers and patients is one thing, but the attention from Jack Abbot? That’s another thing entirely, and it thrills and terrifies you all at once.
THE BIRTHDAY BLUES ! | @/of-apollo
One of the worst days you have ever experienced in the ER happens to fall on your birthday. Nothing goes your way, and seconds after you finish your shift, you are sobbing in the passenger seat of Jack Abbot’s car. Luckily, Jack knows how best to remind you that you are so important and so, so loved.
Don’t Let Go | @thislilmindofmine
Jack noticed it. The way she'd flinch at doors slamming, tense up at raised voices. So he slowed his movements around her, watched his tone. And when a patient attacks her, it changes everything.

SIDE BY SIDE | @apertcre
Jack Abbot trusted his daughter; significantly so. When she is out with her friends and doesn't answer her phone, however? He can't help but think he should've been a bit more protective.

Apartment Seventeen - Series Masterlist | @/deathreverse
Jack Abbot is not an overly-neighborly person. He has secret nicknames in his head for most of the people on his floor and actively avoids any and all types of neighbor politics. However, he can’t deny his growing fondness for the single mom and toddler in apartment seventeen. (Nor his burning hatred for your baby daddy).

jack maybe sharp, distant, and a little cruel at first, but when his wife shows up to the pitt with contractions, he shows a side that no one but a select few have seen before.
With You, I Serve. | @sweetestcowboy
everyone in the pitt knows how inseparable you and jack were. jack had believed that himself too. so, when one particular case leaves you rattled, he finds it in himself to jump into action. what he didn't expect was to realize he didn't know you quite as well as he thought.
The One Place You Never Belonged | @gragrace
In The Pitt, Dr. Abbot is known for control, precision, and distance. No one believes he has a personal life—let alone a wife. Only Dr. Robby and nurse Dana know the truth.
do people who watch the pitt know that princess and perlah have different accents when they speak in tagalog? and these accents are indicative of how and where they grew up...
because princess speaks tagalog without an accent, but she has the basic american english accent which tells me she was probably born and raised in the philippines before immigrating to the us at a young age. meanwhile, perlah does have an accent when she speaks in tagalog, the same accent a lot of americans have when they speak it, which tells me she was probably born and raised in the us.
i find it interesting. that's all. and i thought i'd share my thoughts to the non-filipino viewers.
sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "mmmhmmm okay yeah i see we both interpreted that differently based on what the show gave us, but i see how you arrived at your ideas even if they're different from mine," and then sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "brother what show did you even fucking watch"
The last time Abby visited a lingerie store, it’d been about two weeks shy of the wedding.
Funny, she thinks acidly. Now she's here two months after the divorce.
She isn’t sure she’s ready to get back out there, or what men even liked these days, but the lacy garments she stuffed into her basket seemed a promising start.
She's standing in line for the register, tapping her foot at the woman taking so long in front of her. She doesn't even look like the kind of girl who'd shop here. She wears comically large glasses, and a long braid trails down her back.
"There's a return policy?” the woman is asking, sounding horrified and sputtering. "These aren't used, are they?"
Abby glimpses at the collection of panties lining the counter. They all look to be made of silk—Frank's favorite. She grumbles as he still finds a way to worm into her mind, even now.
"Of course not," the cashier replies, but the blonde woman does not look convinced, and the line is still not moving.
"Excuse me," Abby says. "I'm in a bit of a rush."
The woman sucks in a breath at the sight of her.
"What are you looking at?" Abby scoffs.
The woman rushes past her, leaving the panties on the counter unpaid, and the tags still attached.
Abby shrugs. Whatever. At least the line’s moving again.
do you ever think about how john's med school rotations and residency happened during covid when racism against asian people, specifically chinese people, intensified and just fucking cry? do you think about how the people he wanted to save started treating him differently, hatefully, and how he decided to push through anyway? do you think about how, maybe, that's why he ended up choosing the nightshift? (my mom used to work nightshifts during covid and told me that it was because patients were less particular with their doctors at that time; how, compounded by pain and just the natural exhaustion, there were less push backs on who was treating who, and because of that she felt a whole lot safer.)
