MACKENYUย asย Roronoa Zoro ONE PIECE:ย 2.05ย "Wax On, Wax Off"
I'm thinking about all the anons my moots have gotten saying that they've given up on BTS and how they think that the boys have a responsibility to be on all the time, that they're idols and that this is their job and they should just do it because that's what they owe the fans, and I just get so goddamn angry because these boys, they're people. They're people first. They're not defined by their jobs any more than the rest of us are.
And I guess that's one thing I will fundamentally never understand about kpop, and why I still think of myself as an outsider looking through the window at this fandom, because I do not understand why so many fans think they're owed anything. You aren't owed shit. They don't owe you shit. They make music. You buy it. That's the transaction. Everything else is just noise. Everything. Whether or not you enjoy it, whether or not you think they've promoted it adequately or made enough of a presence, whether or not they've done extra shit like post on social media or behind the scenes shit or music videos or promos or even performances, it's all noise. None of that is part of the transaction. They make music. You buy it. That's the start and end of it.
You wanna talk about jobs? That's how jobs fucking work. You do your job, and then you are paid for it. Their job as artists is to make music. That's it. The rest is just. noise. And just like any other job, if they want to quit or take a break or scale back, they are allowed to do that. They have a right to do that, and you don't get a fucking say.
But it's more than that, right? We talk a lot about parasocial relationships with idols and how that line between what we are given and what we are owed as fans is blurred by a perceived personal connection, but I don't think anyone really knows or understands what that actually means. This constant presence, and the demand for that constant presence, it moves the goalposts on what exactly it is fans are actually entitled to. And that's an issue that wasn't created by social media but something that was exacerbated by social media. And there's a lot to be said about the replacement of human interaction and the culture of isolationism and the way the lack of consequences for overstepping boundaries has created a generation of people who don't know how to conduct themselves in society at large, but that's a different topic.
My point is, fucking stop it. BTS owes you nothing. Namjoon owes you nothing. All of the members, they owe you fucking nothing. You get the privilege of peeking into their lives when they allow you to do so. That's not a right. You are not owed that. So sincerely, and from the bottom of my heart, fuck all. of. you. who have made these boys feel like they are not enough. These boys have been trying to teach you people that simply existing makes you worthy of love and you've never fucking listened, and you've never given them that same grace, and so you do not deserve to sit at their table. So stop acting like that seat is something you are owed, because it fucking isn't.

Wondering if anyone can help me find a Jungkook fic or if theyโve read the same one, idk if itโs on HERE or QUOTEV or WATTPAD but i remember the storyline being like
The Reader being a cold mysterious girl who prefers to be alone goes to school with all of BTS and Jungkook doesnโt like her at all and he likes their friend but she likes V, and then one day V decides to befriend the Reader (ALSO I REMEMBER THEY WERE ALL LIKE UNDERGROUND FIGHTERS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT) and Jungkook hates that because the friend that likes V is sad because they think that V likes the Reader but they begin to form a sibling bond. As the story goes they find out her story and then Jungkook and the Reader start to fall for each other and then they get together, THE END
I swear the title was like โColdโ or something like that๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Fingers crossed that this reaches the right audience lol
I hope someone knows what Iโm talking about because I am dying to reread that fic cos it was beautifully written๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

neteyam sully x fem!navi!reader
summary : Jake and Y/N go behind Neteyamโs back.
โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
โYouโre making my brain hurt, Loโak!โ Y/N sneered then scooted away from him to be closer to Kiri. He was attempting braiding her hair and failing terribly which caused him to pull at her head too hard for her liking. Loโak huffed and stuck his tongue out at her then stormed off to find Spider. โWhat a grump.โ
Kiri nodded and softly plated Y/Nโs hair with nimble fingers, โHe is a pain.โ Kiriโs parents and her brother, Neteyam, were leading the mountain rounds for the night and left Y/N in charge, despite her not being Jake or Neytirโs child, but Neteyamโs mate. โThey will be back soon.โ
โGood thing I put Tuk to bed a while ago.โ Y/N mumbled, fiddling with the bracelets on her wrists and ankles. All of the them given to her by Tuk or Neteyam. โI should probably go get Loโak before they return.โ
Kiri sighed, a little mad her parents put Y/N on kid duty and made it her responsibility for a family that wasnโt even hers, not until her and Neteyam officially became one. โQuick.โ
Y/N shot up and trekked through High Camp, calling for Loโak. There was no response, so Y/N eventually ended up outside the camp on a branch bridge. She cursed in Naโvi after she couldnโt find him. Going farther down from the camp, she detected rustling and laughing in a nearby cave. She yelled again for him, and he came running out of the hiding place with Spider and two Omatikaya girls.
โDonโt tell my father.โ Loโak pleaded after he saw Y/Nโs surprised yet mischievous face. โHeโll skin me alive.โ
โOh, wouldnโt that be so awful?โ She teasingly pouted at him then snapped her fingers and pointed to the spot next to her. Loโak grumbled as he retreated to her side. โSpider, take them home.โ He forcefully nodded and led the girls back. โWhy are you so stupid?โ
โWhat?โ Loโak questioned and kept pace with Y/N as she climbed up some rocks.
โYour parents would have murdered me if I didnโt find you. Why were you out there anyway?โ Y/N unexpectedly put a hand on his mouth before he could talk. โI donโt actually care. That was rhetorical. But donโt do that again.โ
They reached High Camp, and Y/N saw Jake sitting by the entrance, assumed to be waiting for her and Loโak. She dragged a hand down her face then smacked Loโak loudly. He whined and ran away from her and to his dad who cackled at Y/Nโs action.
โI see you had a problem.โ Jake eyed his youngest son who was standing to the left of him. Y/N scratched the hair at the bottom of her scalp then shrugged lightly.
โI mean, nothing I canโt handle.โ Y/N boasted playfully, and Loโak shoved her to the side. โYou little-โ
โLanguage!โ Jake quipped before Y/N spoke a nasty word. She zipped her lips and flipped Loโak off instead. โLoโak, go help Neteyam with the Ikran, I have to speak to Y/N.โ
Y/N widened her eyes, โAm I in trouble? Please say no!โ Jake shook his head and pulled her to just outside the mountain cavern. โWhat is it? Youโre scaring me.โ
โI want you to be on the raid tomorrow.โ Jake quieted down, knowing his eldest son and wife were awake in the tent.
โOk, why is this a secret?โ
โNeteyam doesnโt know youโre going, and he isnโt going himself.โ
โSo, I am committing treason against my mate?โ
โEssentially.โ Jake laughed, and Y/N gazed at the floating mountains. โHe isnโt going to be happy with either of us.โ
Y/N snickered while her ears went down in agreement, โBut, do tell, why am I going and he isnโt?โ
โHe would be too worried about you to be an actual lookout for me.โ Y/N pursed her lips. โAnd you are a good warrior, strong.โ
โInteresting. Well, I have to prepare for my assassination by your son tomorrow when he realizes I am not home and where I am.โ
โI count on it.โ Jake whistled.
โโ
โFire!โ The chief voice Jake used came out when he said that as a train track was blown up. โY/N, get that plane down.โ
โGot it!โ She raised her bow and released an arrow pointing at the first pilot, striking him right through the torso. Y/N aimed at the second one, but the gunmen learned of her position and began shooting at her. Now, Y/N was annoyed. An arrow flew for the second time from her bow and made its home in the pilotโs chest. The plane went down, and Y/N whooped with others. โItโs not an issue anymore.โ
โThank you.โ Jake shortly transmitted, and Y/N went back to scouting for anymore threats.
Abruptly, bullets were flying at her backside, and she got to the floor, covering herself with her bow. Her eyes found the culprit, an aircraft with four pilots, and many soldiers with guns hanging out the open sides. Y/N huffed as she slightly lifted her bow, and an arrow flew into a soldierโs chest. Dead. The people in the plane didnโt like that. They fired rapidly at her place. โJake!โ
โI see you! Hold on!โ Jake alarmed and made his way to his sonโs mate. Jakeโs gun blasted the ship and it became lopsided and fell into trees on fire. Y/N was still lowered as Jake arrived to her. โAre you hurt?โ
โNo.โ Y/N responded. She stood and exposed the bullet grazes on her arms that were profusely bleeding. Jake gripped the place between her neck and shoulder and shook her. The adrenaline was tiring for Y/N so she began to hiss at the burning sensation. โI stand corrected.โ
โMy son is going to murder me.โ Jake sighed and helped Y/N to her Ikran and holding her still as she was shaking slightly. โWill you be alright to fly back?โ
โYes, yes, of course.โ She scoffed, her Ikran already in the sky, and Jake stared as she went out of sight before directing the warriors to fall back. Jake was on his Ikran after his instructions were said, and he followed Y/N closely, detecting whether she might fall. The two plus the warrior party made it to High Camp and the warriors began distributing the weapons and ammunition they raided. Jake and Y/N sneakily ran towards Moโatโs tent and hoped neither of their mates were in there. The two shot each other relieved looks after Neteyam and Neytiri werenโt with Moโat.
โSit, child.โ Moโat hummed to Y/N, and the girl did as she was told. Jake stood at the flap of the tent, watching for Neytiri or Neteyam. Y/N grumbled ever so slightly as Moโat lathered Y/Nโs wounds with a mint leaf ointment. โYou are in so much trouble, Toruk Makto.โ
Jake shot Moโat an annoyed glare and snarked, โYou are helping, too.โ
โI am tending to a warrior who is hurt. No blame in that.โ Moโat sharply cackled and put another kind of paste into Y/Nโs injuries. โHow are you?โ
Y/N tore her eyes from her legs to stare into Moโatโs eyes, โI am alright until Neteyam learns I am here.โ
โYes.โ Moโat agreed and placed a comforting hand on Y/Nโs head. โJakesully, sulking is not going to get you out of punishment.โ
โShe is right.โ Neytiri appeared and roughly smacked her mateโs arm, and he held the place she touched with an apologetic expression. โMy Y/N, what happened?โ
โOh, nothing really.โ Y/N brushed off Neytiriโs concern and got to her feet. She could feel Neteyam nearby, and she needed to sprint before he saw her. Jake suddenly looked to her with wide eyes, and she knew exactly what that meant. Before she could even start to move her legs, Neteyam was grasping her upper arm, holding the uninjured part. โNo!โ
โY/N.โ Neteyam said. โHow could you do this?โ
โI had no choice, really. Your dad is Toruk Makto, I canโt just deny him.โ Y/N weakly explained, and Neteyamโs ears drooped in disappointment. โDonโt look at me like that. I am fine anyway.โ
โThe medicine all over your arms say otherwise.โ Neteyam shot back, and they held a stare-down. Jake and Neytiri peered as the two didnโt back down from each otherโs penetrating stares. Finally, Neteyam sighed and pulled Y/N into his chest, โYou could have been more hurt.โ
โBut I wasnโt.โ Y/Nโs voice was muffled by Neteyamโs skin. Her mate laughed at the sound, and Y/N lifted her head to him. โI am sorry I went behind your back, but I think we should just blame Jake.โ
Jake became offended as Neteyam chuckled at Y/N and kissed her lips shortly. โI think so too.โ
โHey!โ Jake whined slightly as everyone else giggled. Neytiri pushed Jake out of the tent to most likely scold him. Moโat shooed Y/N and Neteyam away, so more injured could come for help.
โI am happy to see you.โ Y/N muttered into Neteyamโs ear after they sat in their tent and cuddled into each otherโs embrace. Neteyam kissed her neck and hummed.
โLikewise, my Y/N.โ Neteyam uttered sweetly before putting his hand on her waist and massaging the skin there. โBut you had me worried all day.โ
โYeah, yeah. But I came back to you.โ Y/N mused while pecking against his lips. โI always will.โ
โI hope so.โ Neteyam pulled her infinitely closer and the whole night was filled with love from Y/N and Neteyamโs tent.

All hell had broken loose. Ronal and Tonowari were shouting at me, Jake Sully and Neytiri were shouting at Neteyam, and all the adults were shouting at each other.
โWe have taken you in out of our kindness and you let your son mess around with my niece?โ
โYou should have though this through, Neteyam These people have given us sanctuary, and you risk that!โ
โAy, Stela, after I took you in, knowing you had demon blood, thinking I could change you! I almost wish my sister had been killed in the war instead.โ
It becomes silent. Ronal covers her mouth with her hand. She had gone too far, and she knew it. Tears prick at my eyes again, but I will not cry. I will not.
โGo back to our mauri.โ She whispers. โGo!โ
I stand, and Neteyam pulls himself up with me. He gives his parents a sideways glance, before cupping his hand to my cheek. Ronal stays silent.
โDonโt worry, my syulang, I will work this out. Okay?โ He mutters.
โOkay,โ I whisper back, but somehow this feels like goodbye. I kiss his forehead, Ignoring how Neytiri squeaks in annoyance. โI will see you later, my Teyam.โ
As I leave the mauri, my eyes begin to sting. The whole walk back, I cry bitter tears. I ache for Naolaโs sweet words of comfort.
--
The next morning, I sit in the mauri, quietly weaving a fishing net. I had not been allowed to leave all morning. Ronal had told me indirectly, through Tsireya. She was yet to speak a word to me.
The creaking of the walkway alerts me of the approaching group. Tonowari leads Tsireya, Anoung, Neteyam, and Loโak towards me. Ronal brings up the rear, her hand on Loโakโs back. They all wear solemn expressions, and Tsireya is on the brink of tears.
Neteyam catches my eyes, offering a small smile. I can see Ronal watching from behind, but she does not comment. Instead, she paces in front of the group.
โYou allowed this,โ she finally says, her eyes darting between Tsireya and Anoung. โYou allowed him to bond with the outcast.โ
She glares at Loโak, who hangs his head, but does not look ashamed.
โTsireya,โ Tonowari says. โYou disappoint me, daughter.โ
I stand from my seat behind her and wrap my arms around her shoulders. I will not let her feel like I had. My cousin clutches my hand tightly, still fighting a loosing battle against a wave of tears. She hangs her head, but unlike Loโak, she does look ashamed.
Tonowari turns to Loโak. โAnd you, son of a great warrior, who has been taught better.โ
โBayakan saved my life, sir. You do not know him.โ Loโak insisted, unaware of his parents approaching from behind. Neytiri spots me, but this time her eyes are filled with pity instead of anger.
โNo, Loโak,โ Tsireya whispers in warning.
โSit.โ Tonowari mutters. Loโak lowers to his hunches. No one else moves. โSit down!โ
I take this as my queue to resume my weaving. I do not want to become the subject of Tonowariโs rage today. Not again.
โHear my words, boy. In the days of the first songs, tulkun fought amongst themselves. For territory and for revenge. But they came to believe that killing, no matter how justified, only brings more killing. So, all killing was forbidden. This is the tulkun way.โ As Tonowari spoke, Ronal paced behind him, and Neteyam keeps his eyes on me. โBayakan is a killer. So, he is outcast.โ
โI am sorry, sir. But youโre wrong.โ
Neytiri hissed. โLoโak.โ
โI know.โ Loโak insisted.
โThat is enough.โ Jake Sully finally spoke up. He grabbed Loโak by the forearm and dragged him away, not unlike how Ronal had done to me the night before.
Tonowari let out an angry sigh, running a hand down his face. Neteyam stood quickly, following his mother and father. Dropping my weaving, went to do the same, but Ronal took my arm.
โWhat are you doing?โ
โI did not think you would want to be in the presence of a vrrtep (demon).โ I said, shaking my arm out of her grip. She did not protest as I left.
โMy Teyam!โ I called.
He flashed his beautiful smile when he spotted me. โStela.โ
โIโm sorry about last night. I did not mean for them to find out.โ
โThey would have had to eventually.โ
โI suppose,โ I replied, shrugging my shoulders. โBut I did not want it to be this way.โ
Neteyam hummed, before taking my hand and leading me down onto the beach. We sat in the sand together in silence. Any worry that Neteyam would no longer be interested in me were gone.
Ronal and Tonowari rushed by on their Ilus, followed by a group of Metkayina, Jake Sully and Neytiri. Neteyam and I exchanged looks. We left the beach, and I called my Ilu. We followed them outside of the bay until we reached the tulkun pod. There, floating lifelessly in among them, was Naola.
A scream echoed in the air, but I didnโt stop to realise it was my own. Neteyam clutched my waist tighter as I urged my Ilu faster. I pried his fingers off me before diving into the water and crawling onto Naolaโs fin. Her lifeless eyes stared into nothing, and another scream ripped at my throat.
โMy sisterโฆโ I pressed my already glowing hands to her side searching for something, anything, any sign that she was still there, and I could bring her back. There was nothing.
โWho did this?โ I asked, but it remained silent. โWho did this?โ
โThe sky people.โ Jake Sully called from his Ilu.
โThe sky peopleโฆโ I repeated, struggling to see through the barrage of tears. โThe sky people killed my sisterโฆ my Naolaโฆ I will kill them. I will kill them!โ I sobbed and sobbed, wrapping my arms around my sister.
โStela, we must go, it is not safe here.โ Ronal urged, reaching out towards me.
โNo, no! Donโt touch herโฆ donโt touch me! No, noโฆโ My head hurt. I could not see. I felt sick with grief and helplessness.
โSyulang,โ Neteyam. โYou must come.โ
I let him pull me away from my sister and hold me in his arms. The ride back was long and painful. Neteyamโs arms around me, and the sweet memories of my Naola kept me grounded. By the time we had arrived back at the village, the tears were gone, replaced only by the suffocating anger squeezing at my heart.
I will get my revenge, and I will kill the people who did this. Who took away my sister.
