Okay, I swear I'm done posting about this! I redid the substack post of my master's thesis about Ghost. Instead of doing five different sections of paper, I uploaded it as one big post, so have at it.

Summary:

Since its inception, metal music has always been connected with Satanic imagery. The Swedish metal band, Ghost, uses this cultural connection as the main concept for their band with its mythos revolving around a secretive Satanic church that influences both its lyricism and its theatricality, and for many of Ghost’s fans, that connection can offer a cathartic release as they learn to cope with religious trauma. This paper is an autoethnographic analysis examining the connection between the narrative founds in Ghost’s songs, religion as a cultural influence, and religious trauma.

CALLING ALL SANJI FANS : PETITION TO GATEKEEP HIM part 1

Just found out that the lead producer of the One Piece anime hates Sanji because there is no other reason that they give him heart eyes towards Bonney in the latest episode. I remember specifically in the manga, Sanji never show attraction towards Bonney, which is what I use to defend him from the pedophile allegations.

There is no use to try and defend him against his haters at this point. Despite KNOWING that One Piece Movie Z is not cannon, they still use it to call him a pedophile. Despite his wedding to Pudding being an arranged marriage and it didn't even come true, they still calling him a pedophile. Between stubborn haters who ignores canon and now haters in the anime studio itself, it is an uphill battle to defend Sanji.

So I am making a petition to gatekeep him. If there are people who still calling him a pedo or just a pervert, just reply "It's okay. I know you cannot handle a character like Sanji" or "ah, you're the sort of people who can only understand surface level writing. I'm sorry". Gatekeep the living shit of loving him.

It's been 25 years of the One Piece anime and after the events of Whole Cake Island, people who still thinks that Sanji is ACTUALLY a pervert at heart just a lost cause.

You're telling me the man who had at LEAST 3 women who genuinely fell for him leave these women to be with his crew, is actually just a pervert and a simp? That this man had no loyalty compared to Zoro?? That this man only thing in his mind is women?? Give me a break.
