I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?

Don't become a housewife.

today was the last day of my internal medicine rotation, and i'm genuinely so so sad

#i haven't felt sad about a semester ending since high school honestly #we spent three months there #it was pretty hard because of the long hours #and also it pretty emotionally taxing #there were so many patients that died #idk it honestly made me think a lot about how i'll die #but i will still miss it #i really enjoyed seeing the same people every day and feeling like they're my coworkers and not just my teachers #and i'll miss my very sweet resident most of all #he might be the best person i've met in uni #i should probably try to keep in contact with him #des

It's absolutely crazy that intellectual labor can wipe you out. It seems like it shouldn't be a thing, like your stores of brain juice shouldn't be able to be depleted in that way.

I feel like a wizard that's out of spell slots, and to me that's a hackish mechanical limitation put in place to try to balance the classes.
