Pacific Rim meme:
↳ Three quotes
"Stay still, I can’t reach the top of the tree!"
"Hurry, my arms getting tired." He sighs heavily, shifting her leg higher on his shoulder.
Hu gives her a small round of applause and plops down on the couch, stretching himself across the length. An ache settling in his bones suddenly as soon as his back hits the cushions. He watches with approval while Mako
"Had years of practice.Somehow Cheung would tape his fingers together." he laughs lightly and rubs his forehead. "It was tradition that my brothers and I would hide presents from one another until Christmas morning."
Mako smiles at the thought of the Wei triplets spending Christmas together, and wishes she could somehow express the depth of her sorrow at their loss - but she is sure that Hu already understands this. So instead, she settles on the couch next to him with a smile. The twinkling lights on the tree cast flickering shadows on her face, and she stares enraptured at the lights themselves. Mako has always loved Christmas, and while she would have given anything to be sharing it with sensei, she was not selfish enough to ignore the warm feeling of content that came from decorating with Hu. "Sensei was not good at wrapping either," she confessed with a laugh, "So he was not a very good teacher in that art."

The true heroes were the ones who didn’t understand while everyone was calling them heroes.
He nodded in agreement, looking down at his boots for a moment. “Well I should probably go busy myself with something instead of sittin’ around all day. I’ll catch ya later, Mako. Maybe we can go grab a bite to eat sometime.”
Mako bowed her head in acknowledgement, a smile hovering across her lips. It was always pleasant to talk to a fellow Ranger, and while she had been rather antisocial in the past, this was no time to isolate herself. "I would like that, Mr Springer - it has been a pleasure."

Her only response was a quiet nod before stepping inside. In comparison, Shiro’s room was just a little different. She didn’t have much, just clothes and random items here and there. For the time being, she just rather stands there without a word. Though… “I’m sorry to bother you with this.”
--"It is no bother at all," Mako says simply, retrieving a small packet of pills and popping two out onto Shiro's palm, "Would you like a glass of water to take those with?"
Jazmine couldn’t help but stare. This was the famous Mako Mori, after all. Though all she could see was her brother’s new co-pilot. In a way, Yancy’s replacement. The blonde tried not to let it get to her though. It was interesting to look upon a new person who could bond with one of her brother’s in away that she never could.
Mako was hardly to blame, and Jazmine knew that. The scientist knew she could be jealous and selfish even in the most unfitting situations, but she was smart enough to understand that there were forces in this world that mere humans could not control—as much as she refused to believe in fate.
She gave Mako the smallest of smiles in return.
"I think it was more my fault. I probably shouldn’t have been stomping around these halls like an angry Spinosaurus. Was bound to trample somebody." She replied with a shrug. "But yeah, I’m alright. Are you? I mean, I know I caught you before you could fall, but I’ve been told I have some pretty bony fingers."
Mako's brows raised only a fraction at Spinosaurus, but the twitch of her lips spoke more of amusement rather than of anything else. She shifted only a little underneath the woman's stare, but the eventual smile that was offered set her more at ease. She looked vaguely familiar, but Mako was unable to place where exactly she could know her from.
"I am okay, thank you," she smiled, dipping her head in a more polite greeting than crashing into each other had been, "Thank you for catching me - I am Mako Mori, it is a pleasure."
"I don’t care. He seems to make nothing of the millions of people who’ve died what do I care about him and his achievements? Imagine what would have happened if he had drifted with a Kaiju years ago instead of now. Might have costed us a lot less."
--"Maybe you are right, but it is too late for what ifs, Chuck. Dwelling on the past isn't going to help anyone."

"Ms. Mori."
"Newton. How are you today?"

”Aw, shit.” Jazmine squints up at the grey sky, flinching when a droplet of water lands on her cheek. It’s just her luck, to get caught out with a storm rolling in. She moves down the street, dodging the throngs of people that mob the street. And I thought Los Angeles was busy—this is madness. She ducks into a nearby restaurant as the rain begins to fall heavier—and smacks right into another body.
”Jesus—Watch it,” she snaps with a leveled glare. Never mind that she’s at fault—it’s merely a force of habit at this point, living in LA for so long and generally not being at fault. She does feel bad about the outburst, but she’s not about to mumble out an apology at this point.
Mako's eyes narrow just a fraction, but she isn't rude enough to voice her irritation aloud. Instead she simply steps backwards, the tilt to her chin the only sign of her defiance against this apparently having been her fault. After all, everyone has bad days, and she can only assume that the woman in question was having one. "My apologies," she replies, and moves so that the woman can pass.

"Sounds like fun - when are we going?"
Come to Disney Land with us.
"I would love to, Sasha! Who else is coming?"
