same thing with kendrick stans who genuinely believe “not like us” was a principled attack against child abuse. no, my fellow stan, it was just an effective marketing strategy and “content” for a good diss track—accusations of child abuse were used as a means of harming the reputation of a male rival. the victims remained unnamed, and the accused was meme’d on for the purposes of a stan war. the pedophile still enjoys mainstream success. furthermore, you can’t claim to be against child abuse and pal around with dr. dre, who notoriously and infamously abused a child under his mentorship. celebrities are in the business of marketing products, and they will appeal to “woke” sensibilities in order to do so, because it is profitable to appear enlightened without threatening power structures.
