it genuinely stresses me out that hat video of Ruby Rose binding with ACE bandages is getting so much traction. ACE bandages hurt so bad don’t fucking bind with them you can damage your body!!! It’s not cool and subversive to hurt your ribs!!!!!

real binders that were made for chest binding. ACE bandages are made so that they constrict, and this can fracture your ribs, or at least bruise and bend them. any trouble breathing experienced with ACE bandages also should not be part of binding, I breathe (and exercise) fine in my binder.

every option i am aware of is online, but you do have options.

underworks (http://www.underworks.com/ultimate-chest-binder-tank) is by far the most popular store. even though their binders were made for cis men who have gynecomastia, that basically means cis men with enlarged boobs, so it’s the same idea, and meant to be safe.

gc2b (http://www.gc2b.co/#!store/c205c) is a store that’s definitely gaining traction. you can find reviews on their website i believe but also on their tumblr, gc2b-apparel. everyone i’ve ever seen who had one felt much less pain with these binder because they’re designed by and for trans people, so they fit right.

these more colorful/patterned binders: http://shapeshiftersinc.storenvy.com were going around tumblr for awhile, but i’ve never used them, never have known anyone who used them, so i can’t vouch from a personal standpoint, but they do have a testimonials tag on their tumblr: http://shapeshiftersinc.tumblr.com/tagged/testimonials.

there’s other options - whether you ID as a dude or not, if you google search “ftm chest binders” you will find results, but these are the ones i’d vouch for most, the first being so widely used and the second two being by and for trans people.

Just in case someone hasn’t already pointed this out:

The Raptor Squad didn’t betray Owen.

Think about it, they saw their Alpha repeatedly harassed by Hoskins - the ‘Alpha’ of the iGen ‘pack’. They probably also saw Owen attack him - something that they Clearly wanted to do themselves. They had to of known that Owen was not happy having this enemy ‘pack’ around, but that they were in danger if he didn’t cooperate. 

When they encountered Sweetpea the I.Rex (shut up I can name fictional dinosaurs what I want), they had an opportunity and a large ally to back them up. They looked straight to Owen, their Alpha… and promptly slaughtered the iGen forces. Sure, Blue began to attack Barry, but she stopped when she realized who it was. No move was made towards Owen. When the iGen soldiers were down, they hunted down the enemy Alpha, out of the thousands of humans in the park, then rejoined Owen.

So those precious babies never went bad. They were just protecting themselves, their Alpha, and their Pack. Clever girls.

what i mean: there are no less than 14 women protagonists who all have agency and are narrators of their own stories and none of them exist as male wish fulfillment or as a side kick to a male character and they all have different personalities and purposes and their strengths and weaknesses are presented without making some statement about women being better or less than men but also they use their femininity in extremely powerful ways which demonstrates that women are different than men but no less valuable to the story and they are put on equal playing field with the men in the movie and are not sexualized or demeaned despite the fact that five of them are escaping sex slavery and the sexual violence against them is never shown and one of the messages of the movie is that even these women in positions of 'privilege' are still oppressed and are victims of male violence and entitlement which reminds me that another message of the movie is the destructive nature of toxic masculinity and even the good guys in the movie are not praised or unnecessarily affirmed by the women when they do good things but instead there is a sort of mutual trust and friendship built that is way more realistic and powerful and basically it passes every test associated with how women are treated in movies and also it's just a really damn good movie with amazing visuals and insane amounts of world building and beautiful cinematography and real messages about our world

So a teacher in my friends’ class told them he had grounded his daughter for wearing make up at school, and turns out that the next day every single girl in class had slapped the brightest blood red lipstick they had and there was a line in the bathroom to apply knife sharp, enormous curves of winged eyeliner on everyone and they looked like a legion of warrior goddesses on their way to avenge their sister, so when the teacher came in the room his face just FELL and he kept avoiding the girls staring at him during class, so they started raising their hands and asking questions about the subject to force him to look at them, and if you don’t think girls are amazing when they get down to battle you are missing out on something glorious
