The joke about women ruining men's happiness is such a huge projection because men literally go out of their way to shit on everything women love and make women and girls as miserable as possible
u can tell half this website has a porn addiction when the current discourse is to whether or not its ok to show your genitals in public
Bunny Heritage Post
people think they shouldn't vote as a protest or whatever because they've been raised on boycotts. which do sometimes work.
boycotts deprive the target of money.
not voting does not deprive the government of money.
it does, however, deprive you of power.
it's not like a boycott.
Grown women who mock 10-year-old girls on tiktok for using too much makeup and skincare are so ironic and painful to watch.
Acting like these girls didnât get their ideas from you. They were listening when you were telling them how you should start your retinol treatment as young as you can. They were listening when you told them 30 step routine is a game changer. They were looking at you, at women on the billboards, magazine covers and in the TV shows with perfect skin, perfect eyeshadows, perfect hair and realised they should do the same, they should start as young as they can or it would be too late.
These girls are present when you mock other women for their age. Young women ages 20-30 get bullied for having normal faces. âOh my god i thought you were 50â at a woman who is clearly in her thirties.
These âhelpful tipsâ how to not get wrinkles which include donât lift your eyebrows, donât emote in general, use anti-wrinkle straws, donât forget to get botox on time.
Red light therapy, sleeping with your mouth sealed, in one position on your back so either side of your face wonât get squished and swollen.
But these little girls are funny, yeah, letâs mock them. Why donât you mock the promoters of these ideas? Why donât you mock billion dollar industries? 10-year-olds at Sephora are funny, I wonder if you find the absence of women with real faces on screens as funny
aileen wournos being grouped together with people like ted bundy is insane to me. a woman who killed rapists and a rapist who killed women are not at the same level of evil.
Do you write fanfiction?
This is a feminist blog, I can't just be going around telling people I write fanfiction

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
I have OCD. Never at any point in my treatment with my therapist was I coddled and had my obsessions and rituals "affirmed". Why? Because that made them WORSE. I used to wash my hands for 24 reps in 23 sets. My support system was told constantly to not entertain my obsessions or rituals because that would be hurting my progress and my ability to have a good quality of life. I'm now able to wash my hands 3 times, its not perfect, but its better than before.
To see that I was told to buck up and deal with the real world but mentally ill men are being coddled and told they're "stunning and brave natal women" pisses me off and makes me skeptical of the future our girls are getting.
A woman would not be allowed to even speak of it. If she managed to, she'd be threatened with rape and death. Yet we must spread what he says because he has the ability to say it with facing minor consequences.
I find it so ironic when men make statements like âwe fought the warsâ, âwe gave you rightsâ, âwe invented the phone youâre usingâ etc like.. so when itâs something you want to take credit for itâs fine to generalise men as a whole group but as soon as someone brings up rape, murder, assault etc and how men commit majority of those crimes itâs suddenly ânot all menâ ? Right okay so now youâre individuals and canât take credit for the entirety of your demographic?
I think thereâs a really unfortunate trend in peopleâs thinking that like, belonging to a marginalized or oppressed group makes you an ethically better person (either generally or individually) and like that sort of moralism is really unhelpful to any discussion and also doesnât track into reality. It also results in like, someoneâs status as an oppressed person being revoked by their individual moral failings, which obviously makes no actual sense
đ¶ there is power in a union đ¶
put up a statue of this woman actually
is she my role model or am i in love
its always "unions are good" until the women get unionized đ
was on an airport train shuttle and a man sat next to me like this and i put my hand between our legs and was like uh can you give me my space? he looked at me like i called him a slur and fucking got up and stood and i was like âsir?? uh okayâ and my dad and husband kept lowkey laughing at him like what the fuck man is this how yall live on public transportation?
When men are checking if you're the mean kind of feminist or not they'll bring up manspreading or some other memeified tumblr feminist thing expecting me to say nooo I'm #notliketheothergirls those tumblr feminists sure were crazy but I loooove to be like no actually, gender differences in entitlement to physical spaces do matter and reflect a bigger problem I'm not gonna be your pickme sorry
i just pretend to be so confused like âyeah itâs so ridiculous they made up a whole word to be offended at women wanting their personal space haha. wait what? so like you think you deserve extra space? wow⊠uh okay hahaâ
on one hand feminism does help men but on the other hand i want men to finally get it through their heads that a social movement doesnât have to be aimed at benefiting them to be worthwhile
Oh 2013 weâre really in it now
feminism isnât supposed to be popular. itâs supposed to attack deeply ingrained social structures that, obviously, people are going to want to cling to. if the only stances you ever take are the ones that you know everyoneâs going to agree with you are. not. changing. the. world.
Manuel CusĂ i Ferret - Gilders (ca. 1891)
it always sort of knocks the wind out of me to think how many jobs in the past were done by women, that people never realize
look at a painting from 1891 in a gilded frame. you might be inclined to think- I have been! -that the carving, the gilding, the finishing work, EVERYTHING on that frame was done by men. because Everyone Knows Women Didn't Work Back Then- or maybe they were just seamstresses, maids, teachers, and sex workers
how many things have we all touched, made by an anonymous woman, and not realized it?
The oldest piece of furniture I own is a mirror, tentatively dated to sometime around 1880. Its frame is elaborately carved, sort of Gothic, sort of typical of the era, and entirely typical of furniture made here in what was then a fairly cosmopolitan city.
Turns out the carver - there's no signature, and no labels - might have been a woman. Woodcarving was an acceptable job, not just an acceptable hobby, for women of a certain class in late 19th century Cincinnati. The art museum dropped that on me with new, detailed descriptions accompanying a display of locally made furniture in a similar style. They have new descriptions, and these have the full names of the women who made those pieces, no longer just Firstinitial Surname and the relevant dates.
And this is just a local example. This isn't touching on, say, extant tax records from the late Renaissance showing women in virtually every trade you can think of.
