so saying yes instead of no may be referring to dianna getting married (though that marriage has ended, she was still married when this song was written. or perhaps taylor is engaged or thinking about it and
hit the ground running each night may be referring to going out and enjoying nightlife which thanks to molly and company’s social media we know she does like to do.

then the Sunday matinee and films reference - well dianna is an actress that does films exclusively now.

to me the roaring twenties line is the most dianna line of all
first of all take a look at the poster for dianna’s upcoming movie The Laureate:
also if we take the line “tossing pennies in the pool” and let it means “tossing the 1 (because a penny is 1 cent) in the pool” it’s possible it’s a reference to the 22 (roaring twenties?) music video where taylor literally tosses herself into the pool at the very end. we know 22 was dedicated to dianna:
“never leaving well enough alone” - seems to be a reference to me! this doens’t seem to be specifically dianna related but it is interesting to note that taylor dropped me! on lesbian visibility day. also taylor speaks french in the me! mv and is dressed up like grace kelly. dianna and taylor hung out in paris and have both done the grace kelly look. probably not related but just noting it.
“it would’ve been FUN” well come ON. the fun concert where they were seen in public together last (until the amas and snl but the last time they were seen before kaylor):

this sounds like a reference to Wonderland. dianna “searched the world” after swiftgron broke up. also maybe the “on your own” is taylor’s wish that dianna stop relying on toxic dudes in her life.

oh and for all the people that say the 1 is a reference to route 1/big sur - maybe it is maybe it isn’t. but taylor went to big sur with jake, joe, and karlie as far as we know and very well may have gone up there with dianna. it’s very close to where she’s from and dianna travels to big sur all the time:
