STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION (1987-1994) S04E18, IDENTITY CRISIS
Love this scene between them. You’ll get it one day, baby boy.
TNG | 6.08 for @star-trekster <3
lets act normal with Data
im just going to have to cope with the bad feelings and thoughts for the rest of my life
I be doing bullshit at night
the widespread idea/meme that qifrey and olruggio are living in two different genres where qifrey thinks he's living a greek tragedy and olruggio thinks he is living in a slice of life BL manga is of course very funny, however that is to me a misrepresentation of olly's perspective specifically. I think olruggio thinks he's living in a slightly depressing piece of nordic social realism cinema about how life will never be quite what you wanted it to be and all you can do is get to terms with that as best you can and then either way one day you'll at least die
Everyone except me is wrong about The Character
And my beloved mutual who fills a sort of "scheming advisor" role in my opinions about The Character
that episode when Geordi proposed yall remember that
dale cooper character of all time i don't know how they cooked so hard. he's doomed he's tormented by visions he might be the antichrist he has an evil doppelganger he's also a guardian angel figure he tore the timeline apart because an abused girl asked him for help he's so full of love and idealism and hopelessly naive he's autistic-coded he's fascinated by nature he loves sweets he supports trans people he's psychic he has no idea what's going on he's beautiful he's everything
more dana toi
isn't he beautiful
mspaint tng hugs
Descent part I & part II are like … this is torture is pure torture
I think it’s a shame that the episode does not explore the greater ramifications of this on Geordi. You do not simply recover from someone you love and trust torturing you nearly to the point of death, even when they are being abused and manipulated into doing so. It was still his best friend’s voice he heard when he was being experimented on and inflicted with severe pain, I wish we could have seen this at the end of the ep. Perhaps more of reluctance to enter into Data’s space, or a hesitation at protecting the chip. There was a lot that was deeply upsetting about this two parter and I think it suffers from the curse of every episode having to end better than it started, everything being wrapped up almost trivializes what happened in the ep. And what happened was A LOT. Lots of thoughts on this…
