Why is the inside of rukia's captain robe red??

I'm not sure if there is a particoular reason of why the inside is red tbh, I just remember she is wearing Ukitake's haori right? I'm sorry but after the ending I tend to not really care about anything Kub0 says or does, if I know about something I notice I tend to forget about it, just not my cup of tea anymore ig.
