I’m not used to drawing stylised character like this, but I’m really proud of the way this one looks :)
Second attempt at painting scenes with character in an environment! What do you think?
This is my first successful attempt at painting and simplifying character, background and color. I’ve made more since then. I’ll post them soon! It looks really basic, but I really like it. I also remember having a lot of fun painting it.
Tried something different with the eyes and the character design. What do you think?
That’s the last one for this particular style :(
I’ll continue posting my rescent paintings from now on.
I remember at the time that I had never done any landscape in colors before and I was really struggling with it. Painting the environment used to take me so much time. Because I was rendering mostly and not thinking that much. Sometimes it still happens with my regular portraits or any drawings. Understanding the form and where the light source is situated, setting it up... these are probably the main errors I still do. Stop rushing! You’ll reach the end of the painting faster and with better results. Trust me ;)
Not my last digital painting with a portrait and a landscape mixed together, but I think I only have one more to share with you guys that I did last year. The whole concept was based on the True Detective opening and I freaking love this series (especially season 1). So I kinda drew this one as an hommage.
I was talking about that on my last post. This one is an old portrait I did in April 2020. I never posted it here before too and I think that I stopped doing that kind of portraits (portrait and landscape mash up) because they used to take me a lot of time (tha’ts kind of silly, you shouldn’t really think about the time it takes you to finish a piece). I also started to include backgrounds on my portraits and naturally stopped separating environments and character. Maybe I’ll do one like this one now, just for old time sake and because I kinda like that style. What do you think about it?
This one is actually quite old. I made it in april 2020 and never posted it here before. I don’t know why I stopped these mixes of portrait and landscape, I still think they look great. I think that I have another one with that same principal. Maybe two. I remember being inspired by the opening of True Detective and tried to apply this in my paintings. Anyway, hope you’ll like it!

Yup, yup, yup! The show is a masterpiece. I got really emotional during that last episode when you really understand what’s Squid Game is really about. I’m so glad everyone talking about it because it’s really an amazing and honest piece of art.

I miss Summer :(
New one for this week!! Actually, this is an old portrait that I did at the beginning of 2021. I sometimes go too far on the redering of every details. This one remind me that I should think simple forms or simple in general.
I completly forgot to post this one. I remember thinking while painting it that I should be more free and less stressed during the process, don’t try to be perfect and this is why I think it was such a pleasure to paint. It’s still do this day my favorite one.
New portrait!! Had lots of fun doing this one. Sometimes it’s really challenging to paint or frustrating, and sometimes it just flows naturally. Which is pretty pleasant :)

Kind of the first study I did from a movie scene. Don’t know why I didn’t think about taking references from movie before. This one is from the movie Enemy which is a really interesting one. Have you seen it?
After a long pause from social media and paintings, I can finaly post a new one. I had to step away from digital portrait for a moment to focus on concept art and learning the process. It was probably the best decision I have done this year, but I’m happy to be back with these kind of art! Take care!
