Resisting the urge to mentally give Yami Yugi and Atem an antagonistic relationship. This is on the basis of nothing and purely because I think ‘vengeful ghost who likes doing horror torture games’ and ‘ancient pharaoh who sacrificed himself to save everyone (from my understanding)’ who are the same guy and strange consequences of each other’s actions should get to have beef

… actually on further examination I know the exact thing I’m basing this off of in my head

It's just these two fuckers (Loop and Siffrin from in stars and time). They're haunting me. (ghost who ostensibly is here to help but is also very pissed at the whole situation and is snappy as a result + guy who trapped himself in the torment nexus with the worst mix of good intentions and desperation) (their circumstances are different but the outcome is 'weird consequences of each other's actions')

I havent even met Atem yet i'm sure he's lovely and tragic. I know that he and Yami kinda- can't coexist since Atem (as he exists in the modern day) is Yami but with his memories restored (and Yami is ancient Atem but 3000 years of amnesia and namelessness and the torture nexus later). I don't care though. let them care about each other and also maybe really hate major parts of the other's character (or let them be afraid that the other would find parts of their own character lacking). it would be funny.

throwback to the time my cotl fixation got so bad, i would literaly wake up every day checking the cotl tag to see the new content and if i couldn't i would ve upset the entire day

since I poasted the TKB and Diabound design changes from this file the other day I figure I could also put these other unfinished design fiddlings on blast. Back in 2022 I got annoyed about memory world and tried to redesign all the Ancient Egypt outfits and then got bored before I considered the project "finished". The goal was to hopefully try to get to a result that felt a little more faux-ancient egyptian than the canon outfits. Just a little more. I never got around to coming up with a real replacement for Mana's... hat? Even remotely and I was also going to do the remaining priests or whoever the fuck was left idk idk. Also apparently decided I no longer wanted to draw or think about footwear very early on in this process
