It had the best vibe, great people, and dancing was always guaranteed... Recently I found out that they've been going for 6 years! That’s legendary by Toronto standards. Yee, Views From The 6! It's hard to talk about Toronto without mentioning 'drizzy' Drake. Practically the first Canadian celebrity to rep his home town, Drake has done so much for this city already and it's earned our respect. So this is my homage to a great Toronto Rapper that knows what's up. In case you don't know, Toronto's identity is still up in the air. What that really means though is that there's opportunity to represent it. Toronto's identity, or rather the people that make Toronto is what I'm currently exploring with a new series of photo-illustrations called 'Toronto Delirium', which I will be show casing at TCAF. "Arriving at Rosedale, Rosedale Station.." Photo-illustration is a technique I love coming back to, and perhaps one that should work it's way into my professional work. It's curiously interesting seeing how it reflects my artistic development over the years, comparing them pre- and post-university. The photo was taken for me by my good friend Jessica Castillo a couple years ago, so serious creds to her for the lovely shot x

A series I did back in 2009, followed these two characters during their night adventures around Chinatown, Toronto. I have a bit of a fascination with Toronto at night, especially Chinatown and the Dundas West strip before Ossington. Things look pretty grimy after dark, when all the lights are off. My kinda scene.
