The music finally came to a stop as the six of you were panting and breathing heavily, the new choreography was no joke. Keonho was the first to dramatically flop down to the floor with an exaggerated whine. "I can't feel my legs anymore. Someone save me." You chuckled at him, already sinking into the small couch on the side of the room.
Seonghyeon dragged Keonho out, both of them eager to head home after a long day of never-ending practice, even though everyone knew they were going to end up getting ice cream.
A few moments later, Martin was ushered out of the practice room by a staff member and Juhoon just tagged along, curious on the information they might be given about upcoming schedules and maybe even find out when their next well needed break would be.
Now it was just you and James in the big empty practice room. He turned to look at you with tired eyes and the softest smile you've ever seen. James joined you on the soft couch, wrapping one arm over your shoulder easily, even letting out a content sigh at the simple proximity.
"I can finally touch you without Keonho and Martin fake gagging in the background." He chuckled before pulling you into a tight and warm embrace. Lying both of you down on the, barely big enough, sofa. James held you securely against his chest, one of his hands lazily slipping into your still messy hair from practice and smoothing it out gently. "I really needed this.." He admitted softly in your ear, low enough that it sent a warm shiver down your spine. His voice was smooth and sincere, he wasn't playing. Not when it came to you.
You could hear the soft and steady thudding of his heartbeat against your cheek. It felt oddly intimate, in a good way.
As his hand continued to absentmindedly come through your hair you couldn't help the low hum leaving your lips. "I think this should be our new after-practice routine." You said with a small smile on your lips.
He chuckled lightly and you could feel the deep rumble coming from his chest. "Yeah?"
You nodded, very serious about your new schedule plans.
"I could see that happening." He agreed, pressing a soft kiss on your forehead.
Time seemed to stretch as the two of you stayed tangled into each other on the small sofa. Bodies softly pressed together like it was the most obvious thing ever.
You stayed in the same position, his hand still stroking your hair like it was just a simple reflex by now. You would keep cuddling in the practice room until Martin and Juhoon came back to grab their stuff. Which you hoped would be in a while.
But for now, you just enjoyed the moment, tangled in the safe and loving embrace of your boyfriend.
