Like, I absolutely 100% want to stick computer chips in my brain – I just don’t trust any of the organisations that presently have the means to produce brain-chips not to do something evil with them.
Using brain chips to “cure” neurodivergence? Dude, what the fuck are you talking about? I’d use them to give myself exciting new neurodivergences. Let’s cross-wire my amygdala with my olfactory bulb and find out what existential dread tastes like.
Don’t confuse my hatred of the hyperwealthy for jealousy over what they have. I don’t want a six figure sports car, or a 40 room mansion, or a gold leaf truffle wagyu steak dinner. I want redistribution of wealth that allows for infrastructural support of all citizens’ basic survival needs.

hm i’m not sure what you’re asking exactly but
make sure you always have your antivirus & adblockers on. adblockers are mostly just because you’ll get spammed by like 15 pages of shitty ads
don’t do the things where they’re like “take this quick survey and you’ll get the download afterwards” or anything where they need your phone number
streaming tips: google “(show name) 123m*vies” (or putl*cker, the * is an o), if you click play and it doesn’t start/takes you to another page/shows you a trailer or something, don’t bother, it’s a fake page, just try another one
for downloads, i don’t have a site for direct downloads anymore, i just use pir*tebay where you can torrent stuff. basically you’re downloading from someone else directly (instead of from a website where it’s been uploaded) you have to download a software (i use BitTorrent) and you just open the torrent with it and it starts downloading, but don’t forget to delete it from the software afterwards or it’ll keep allowing people to download it from you and it’ll slow your internet down (it’s polite to leave it for a bit though, like, some people were nice enough to allow you to download from them). i’d say learn a bit more about it if you want to torrent because some people don’t trust it but i haven’t had issues with it
if you download a movie and end up with like a .exe or something um don’t open it it’s probably a virus. as long as it’s a video file it’s fine, if there’s a .srt file that’s the subtitles
tbh i don’t have safety tips besides antivirus & adblockers & general instincts on what’s trustworthy, i feel like with movies the risks are pretty low, it’s a different story with games

I’ve heard, “If you give a tree a name, it’ll protect you.”
However, I feel as if there’s a major disconnect with that particular quote. I can walk up to any tree and announce, “I will call you Bertha.” That tree won’t know me, I won’t know that tree. There’s no relationship there, there’s no reason for the tree’s spirit to recognize, let alone protect, me.
So, let us rewrite the above quote.
“If you learn a tree’s name, it will protect you.”
Why this? Trees have ancient wisdom and do not like to just hand over their gathered knowledge. A lot of times, in order to obtain their names, one must first form a relationship with that tree.
I’ve thought a lot about that quote.. and I had finally gathered my thoughts enough to post about it. Let me know what you think?

Even better, the comments to this Twitter post were an absolute FIRESTORM of mostly dudes explaining to her that dials can’t only have 2 positions (not true) and that it wasn’t a very good piece (not true) that she was being disrespectful to her teacher (don’t care) and that it was a sign of her stupidity/rabid feminism/intellectual laziness/misandry/etc. that she couldn’t see any “middle ground.” It became, in its way, a performance piece. I was absolutely mesmerised, even as I wished I could cock-punch people through the internet.
“Dials have more than one settimg” is the most hilarious response to this piece, because the implication of that statement is “just be a scootch more implicit in your own dehumanization. Not ALL the way. But like… a little more.”
