Letter, Tea and Envelope

~ Nothing dares to be as perfect as a rainy day. ~ You, sitting by the window, a warm, delicious tea next to you, your eyes, slowly falling close like the curtains after a play and the play is your life and the steady noise of the rain outside is your applause, an applause for the whispered lines of the loveletter in your hands ~ A letter, perhaps addressed to you without a stamp on it. ~ Nothing.

Letter from cartoonist Alfred Joseph Frueh to his wife Giuliette Fanciulli, sent on Jan. 10th, 1913. The letter opens up to form a model of a gallery hung with paintings. Frueh made this model to inform his wife about the details of a specific art gallery before her visit.
