never underestimate the power of going on a walk and just looking around, with no headphones and listening to the birds

spent too much time at home because I was sick but felt better almost immediately after going outside. if you want to remember that you are part of the world, going for a walk and noticing the things around really helps, like seeing stranger going about their day, or seeing other people’s dogs or looking at the birds or watching the sunset. even if it’s just for a few minutes, even if you can’t really walk that much, or if you can’t go out then just being by an open window at home and paying attention to the world outside can really help when you start to feel a little shut in.

being disabled can really limit someone’s experiences and make them forget that they are just as part of the world as anyone else and just as deserving of space in it

Listen I get it but you CANNOT use "sensory nightmare" as an excuse to avoid essential things. You HAVE to find a way to make it work, such as finding effective alternatives. But you can't just avoid it.

You need to eat some vegetables in your diet or you will become a lich.
