Farm clexa give Madi her first bath in their sink with a big window that overlooks their farm 🥺 Madi is a happy and smiley baby as her mommy washes her hair while momma makes funny faces at her. Madi laughs and makes splashes in the sink that get both her parents wet. When she notices this, she laughs even more and splashes the water even harder soaking Clarke and Lexa even more. There's also lots of bubbles from the splashing so Clarke gives herself a bubble beard that causes Madi to laugh even harder because her momma looks so funny
🥰🥰🥰 they have this deep big sink in the kitchen, it was the one thing they splurged on a bit while rebuilding the mostly destroyed kitchen and it's just perfect for baby baths.
Its a very emotional event, their baby's first bath. She's so tiny and precious, and her skin is soft and delicate, and Lexa and Clarke are still in the phase where they are afraid they'll break her.
Madi keeps dozing off, but when she fullt wakes up, her eyes are big and open, looking between her mommas faces. Clarke does all the smiley silly faces at her to get her to show that adorable toothless smile while Lexa softly gets the lukewewarm water on her baby daughter and smiles lovingly between them. Its when Clarke gets a little close and gives the baby a raspberry on her tummy that Madi giggles like hell and moves the feet and hands, making a whole splashing show and soaking her moms completely. Lexa will let out a shocked yet amused "Madi!" and Madi will let out a shriek that so akin to a giggle that it'll make her moms laugh too.
She doozes off eventually, after making all the sounds a newborn baby can without quite laughing yet at her momma's funny faces. And once she does close her eyes its just Lexa and Clarke, Clarke's chin resting on Lexa's should as she finishes washing their baby daughter, this palpable love all around, the orange of the sunset entering the kitchen window as the last few days of autumn make room for winter and it's such a soft moment, Clarke with the fluffiest towel she ever felt in her hands as she wraps Madi in it, and holds her to her chest where the baby smiles in her sleep, moving upstairs to get her into her diaper and onesie ready for a nice sleep while Lexa empties the sink, unable to fully wrap her head around the fact Madi is no longer in her belly but an actual baby they get to hold in their arms. Hearing Clarke sing softly to Madi upstairs, knowing when she gets there she'll see her wife lovingly rocking their baby to sleep with a smile on her face because Clarke has not stopped smiling since Madi was born and if everything theyvhad done so far was to make this little cottage and farm of theirs a living house, Madi being here has finally fully cemented it as a home for them <3
