Emilia had been quiet recently, distant. She made up excuses about studying or being tired and just hoped no one could see through her lies.

It just came out of nowhere. The mix of school and hero work was just overwhelming for her. She’s been thinking so much about her past, about how this wasn’t even meant to be her life. She was made to be a lab rat, and now she’s an adult and making big choices for herself and it’s just… confusing for her.

She decides to just go back to what she knows she’s good at. Fighting, combat, espionage. It’s what she was built for, it’s not something she has to think about. She’s been sneaking out at night, her suits and knives missing from the war room. She crawls up on the roof of the tower, like she’s looking for danger, looking for trouble.

She glances up at Lia “thanks” she says softly before taking the milkshake and setting it down next to her, not drinking it like how she usually would. She just glances back down to look for any excuse to be a hero

Lia walked over and sat beside her, quiet for a beat before nudging the untouched milkshake. "You don't have to earn your place here by bleeding for it, Emilia."

Emilia bites her bottom lip as if trying to stop herself from snapping back. She just rolls her eyes and looks back to the streets beneath them “it’s complicated… You won’t get it”

"Probably not. I haven't lived your life." She shrugs one shoulder. "But don't decide what I can understand before you've even given me the chance."
