Sakura and Syaoran are the literal definition of a power couple and a prime example of how to write a "strong independent girl boss" while giving them a strong male love interest they don't have to dumb down in order to make her look better in comparison.

(It's been like 2 decades and I'm still not over these matching battle outfits.)

How come even back in the 90s/00s they knew how to do this right and now in modern media they act like they're such "groundbreakers" for doing the bare minimum of having a female main character they only know how to make strong/smart by making everyone else around her weaker/dumber.
