L here: it’s actually the worst possible bag you can use at forever 21… I worked there and in the case of the alarm going off, a f21 bag was the only bag we were allowed to search. So literally you can have as much stuff in your purse, other store’s bags as your heart desires, but don’t use a f21 bag to steal from them.

my dad loves neck ties if u know ur department store it shouldn’t too hard go around prom or homecoming or prom season (some schools have a winter formal) and look at the ties if they approach u say that you’re looking at ties for your date. shave kits are a great dad gift. Bath and Body Works has some really nice men’s lotion & shaving creme.

Lifting Ideas for Memorable People

DISCLAIMER - I am a young-ish looking white girl.

1) Wigs Use different wigs to confuse, use a wig to hide a unique haircut or color, just use wigs. Not oddly cut, multicolored, overly long or otherwise unnatural styles, either. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m getting a wig as soon as I boost some of my next haul. My hair is shaved to a couple cm in length and it makes me noticeable.

2) Hide disability aids Whenever possible. I have purple hearing aids and I try to take them out before entering a store. It has risks - I have to watch SAs mouths more closely to know what they’re saying, for example - but they’re too obvious with no hair to cover them. If you can get around for short periods of time without your mobility aids, lift in short spurts without your aids. Remove visual aids temporarily if possible. Remove or cover hearing equipment with a scarf or hat. NEVER use ASL in front of an SA unless ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, lots of hand movement will attract their attention and you will become extremely memorable when they figure out you’re signing. Cover prosthetics and physical abnormalities with clothing.

3) Dress “normally” Be extra conscious of your outfit. I’ve had to lift a few things specifically to go lifting in - neutral colors, plain, casual but higher-end looking. I tend toward neon colors and sparkles, personally, so I’ve had to watch myself.

4) Conceal tics If at all possible. Speech tics can be hidden by avoiding speaking with the SAs in a casual and friendly way. Motor tics are much harder, but sometimes possible to cover up - ie, if you have a finger tapping tic, wear long sleeves to put your hand inside while it taps.

5) Leave your memorable significant other at home I’m guilty of this one. We’re a queer couple and probably get noticed more than straight couples. If your significant other is any kind of memorable - from adorable to creepy - you’re likely to be watched and remembered, logically. However, my girlfriend and I use this attention to our advantage, and distract while our friend lifts.

TL;DR - conceal anything that makes you memorable.

6. Cover tattoos and obvious birthmarks! There are tutorials on YouTube of how to do so properly.

7. If you have badass piercings (eyebrow, lip, septum, etc) take them out temporarily or cover them! ex: flip a septum up so it’s hidden, for nape piercings keep your hair down, for chest microdermals wear a shirt with a high collar.

Also: don’t super contour your face before you lift unless everyone who shops there does. You rollin into BBW with ya eyebrows on fleek eyeliner on point cheekbones shreddin cheddar, and you thinkin nobody will remember you? Oh hun
