this is the exact opposite of “can you kids lighten up a bit”
Aight goodwill anon, *cracks knuckles*, goodwill is a total buffet. They're a shit company that donates hella to anti gay organizations so Ron them blind. It couldn't be easier, just take all the shit u want into the dressing room and conceal. I literally walked out of there with a brand new mini fridge through the side door and nobody gave a shit.
LMFAO THATS AMAZING!
There you go y’all!!
I’ve heard salvation army is bad too?
yeah ive heard a ton of stuff about them
I KNOW salvation army is shit. Little of their money donations actually go where theyre supposed to, and they are VERY homophobic and sexist
Also I can’t remember which one(goodwill or salvation), but one them is directly responsible for a trans woman’s death cause they wouldn’t let her stay at the shelter and so she froze to death sleeping outside.
Salvation Army was the one responsible.
Fuck the system steal everything
Rob the shit out of them 😒
but how does this help the people who need to shop there? like everyday low-income people who literally can’t afford to pay mall prices or afford to pay for the possible consequences of stealing will suffer. a poor family could have used that minifridge. a charity is a charity my friends, there’s a huge difference between stealing from a big corporation that can afford to replace lost items and a charity that exists off donations and can’t just replace it. think about that 15 year old girl who is desperate for a new pair of pants bc she’s grown out of everything else she has and her parents can only afford to pay $15 for new pants – is it fair for us to go in and steal all the nice, trendy jeans and leave her to choose some raggedy, ill-fitting, stained, ugly pants? especially when we’re like only stopping at SA or goodwill on our way to the mall where we can easily get just about any jeans we want for free? that sure as hell would make me feel guilty. this whole post is really shitty and classist imo.
You have a very valid point there. And for that reason, most thrift shops are off limits for most lifters. There is a notable exception of goodwill and Salvation Army, due to the corrupt nature of their practices, the abhorrent values they stand for, and the fact that both of these “charities” can absolutely afford to replace a pair of jeans donated for free. SA made $2.93 billion in 2015, goodwill made $5.6 billion. 15 bucks isn’t gonna harm them.
Your point still stands about some poor girl who cannot afford anything more expensive, but she has just as much opportunity to steal those jeans herself. Along those lines, how do you know a lifter isn’t starting out there, also poor and struggling? The poor girl you talked about could be one of them. And she does deserve nice things.
right, but SA and goodwill are still some of the most common thrift stores out there. i can’t speak for everyone, but when people in my life say they’re gonna donate things, they say “i’m taking this stuff to goodwill.” the majority of people out there do not research the charities they give to, which is a big part of why organizations like goodwill, SA, autism speaks, red cross, and susan g. komen are still so successful. news stories, documentaries, social media posts etc have been made about how shady these non-profits are, but they still remain popular. its plain and simple, just because you or i might choose to be socially conscious and picky abt our charities, most people choose not to. people want to feel good abt themselves by donating, but they don’t want to put that much effort into it. another thing to note is that being socially conscious is a luxury! low-income families may not be able to pick and choose exactly where they want to shop. when you’re living in poverty you are counting literally every dollar you have, and spending gas money on driving farther out to a non-corrupt thrift store may not be optimal when there’s a goodwill right down the street. when you’re working 2 jobs to feed your family, taking an hour+ bus ride to a better store doesn’t make practical sense when there’s a salvation army a 10 minute bus ride away. walmart is another great example: terribly corrupt company, but because it’s so prevalent and affordable, people can’t always choose not to shop there, even if they might not want to.
the yearly revenue doesn’t really matter, but in a way you’re right, the yearly salary of goodwill’s and SA’s CEOS is astonishing. but like, even if the administration is corrupt, why demand that they further that corruption by importing factory-made clothing from third world countries? i mean, how else can they cheaply replace those jeans, especially when they can get more jeans for free? where’s the incentive? sure, you could make the case that they should set up their own manufacturing and give Americans jobs with fair wages, but its obvious that these organizations are not quite motivated by philanthropy. and honestly, none of this really matters when it comes to my point that poor people need inexpensive clothing either way.
i genuinely hope that sometime in our lifetime, there are more reputable organizations out there that can grow to serve more and more needy people and the masses can support them, even if it is just out of convenience. i’m unsure that this can happen under capitalism, and i’m not optimistic that it will. i try to do my part by choosing to donate my unwanted items to a local family-owned thrift store. if you truly want to bring down corrupt non-profits, spend your resources and time on non-corrupt organizations. lift them up, promote them instead of taking away cheap clothing from poor people. lift an extra dress or sweater next time you’re out and give it to a small thrift store. boost some makeup and donate to a local women’s shelter. that’s so much more effective, at least the way i’m looking at it.
you’re absolutely right, that girl i mentioned earlier does have just as much of a right to steal as anyone else. however, i mentioned earlier that not everyone can afford the consequences of being caught. even if she is a minor and is unlikely to receive a financial penalty, her parents having to take time off of work to go get her from the mall is a financial strain on the family. speaking from experience, minors living in poverty are acutely aware of the financial situation their families are in. how could you not be, when you’ve been using the same backpack for 6 years, or often come home hungry after school to find nothing in the kitchen but a can of beans and frozen asparagus? how could she take that risk when it might affect her family so negatively? not to mention, finding a store or a mall to start shoplifting from will absolutely take money to get to. then you need money just to lift from that mall: the structured bag, the hook and magnet, dressing the part, etc. and that just proves my point further. for those of us in better places in life, who have the resources to successfully lift from malls, should leave the thrift stores alone completely and give those who are worse-off a better chance.
ultimately what i’m saying is that its great to be aware of corruption and other issues concerning non-profits, but it doesn’t negate the fact that there are thousands of people who are in desperate need of these services. we must stop forcing the poor to suffer the sins of the rich, and i don’t believe that stealing clothes from chain thrift stores will do anything but contribute to more suffering.
So we found out that you can go on the computer at Barnes and Noble and look at their LP info so do with this what you will…

If you see something posted by a lifter and it has ANYTHING that could lead to their real identity, message that person and let them know.
I cannot stress enough how important it is that we work together to protect the community as a whole.
Pro-Tip
I know most people associate LUSH Cosmetics with white girls and bath bombs but products from this beautiful company have faded my scars and stretch marks, completely gotten rid of my acne, fixed my dry skin problems, thickened my eyelashes, laid my edges, made my hair grow like crazy… I can go on and on. I’ve actually never tried the bath bombs, but their skincare and haircare products work magic.
Fading Scars / Stretch Marks Organic Therapy Massage Bar
Extra Dry Skin King of Skin In-Shower Body Conditioner, Skin Drink Facial Moisturizer, Sultana of Soap Bar, Tender is the Night Massage Bar, Each’s a Peach Massage Bar
Acne Fresh Farmacy Solid Cleanser, Eau Roma Toning Water, Full of Grace Serum Bar
Thickening Lashes Eyes Right Mascara / Lash Milk
Edges R&B Hair Moisturizer (if you put this on your edges before wrapping your hair, they’ll be relaxer-straight when you wake up, lasts about 12 hours), Dirty Styling Cream (cream-based edge control with a matte finish, no more shiny or crunchy edges)
Hair Growth NEW! Shampoo Bar, Retread Hair Conditioner
I was asked to list the rest of the products I currently have in my possession, so here y’all go!
FACE / HAIR STUFF
Magical Moringa Facial Moisturizer Oh my lordy. Let me tell y'all about this stuff. It’s marketed as a moisturizer but I use it as a primer because when you put this on your face, it’s completely matte. Like completely. All day. And it will lock your makeup in place like no other. You can sweat in it, swim in it, whatever. Shit won’t budge. Ever.
Jason & the Argan Oil Shampoo Bar Amazing for volumizing. It made the three bundles in my head look more like five when I used this thing the first time, I kid you not. Also gives your hair a really natural shine. I only use it when I really need a volume boost, otherwise it’s just too much.
No Drought Dry Shampoo If you have a weave, you need this stuff. Period. A lot of times, the natural oils in our scalps (referring to my fellow black women here) are too heavy for Brazilian, Peruvian, etc hair, and so it’s easy for weave to get weighed down between washes. Shake this stuff in your hair, brush it out - bam, flow city.
Honey Trap Lip Balm My favorite lip balm, ever. Really improves the texture of your lips and seals in moisture. However, this is not for fixing chapped lips - use Ultrabalm for that first, and then this to prevent them from chapping again. Also, pro-tip, if you apply it before liquid lipstick, your lipstick won’t crease or dry out all day.
MASSAGE BARS
Strawberry Feels Forever Smells like fresh strawberries! Has a much thinner consistency than the other massage bars, so it can be used every day, like a solid lotion.
Soft Coeur Smells like chocolate and honey, and is ridiculously moisturizing. More heavy-duty than the other bars, so I like to only use this one on spots like my knees, heels, and elbows.
From Dusk til Dawn The shape of this one is amazing. It’s shaped like a cone, so it gives a deep massage when you’re using it. Definitely recommend if you have any sort of muscle pain.
SCRUBS
The Rough with the Smooth This stuff smells soooo good. Like cotton candy. I use it before I shave because it really does an amazing job at removing any dead skin and it doesn’t leave a residue, so it won’t clog your razor. However, it’s a sugar scrub, so it melts super quickly.
Ocean Salt This is a heavy-duty scrub. Really amazing if you have dry, flaky skin, and the healing properties of the salt are really great if you have acne. It’ll dry it up and heal it super quick.
Cup o’ Coffee Face & Body Mask I’m on my fourth jar of this already. The coffee beans are ground up just enough to give a deep, yet gentle scrub and the caffeine in the bar really does wake up your skin and make it look brighter. Great for the morning.
Buffy It smells like a vacation, that’s really the only way to describe it. It’s an exfoliant bar and body butter mixed together, so you rub it all over while you’re still in the shower, and then rinse the sand off. After, rub the oils in and pat dry. No need for lotion after because it seals in the moisture from your shower.
SHOWER GELS / JELLIES
Rose Jam Shower Gel Smells like roses and has a really bubbly lather. More cleansing than moisturizing. I like to use it before a more moisturizing soap because it’s great for removing dirt and oil from the skin.
The Olive Branch Shower Gel A long-time favorite of mine. Great for dry skin, as it has a really creamy lather versus a bubbly one. Also, the smell is very calming and lingers for a long time.
Needles & Pines Shower Jelly It’s a solid shower gel (consistency of jello), and it smells like Christmas trees! I like to store it in the fridge and use it when it’s hot outside, super cleansing and refreshing.
SOAPS:
Roses All the Way Personal favorite! Smells like roses & vanilla ice cream. Super moisturizing and so, so creamy. Definitely buy if you suffer from dry skin.
Yog Nog Very moisturizing and the scent lingers for a really long time. Smells like snickerdoodles and eggnog.
Bohemian Not at all creamy, as it’s an exfoliating soap. It’s great to use on dark spots like knees and armpits because the exfoliants soften the skin and the lemon juice evens out your skintone. Smells like lemons.
Karma Another favorite. It has a super thin consistency but is still very moisturizing, so it’s a good shaving soap because it won’t gunk up your razor. Smells like incense and patchouli.
Figs & Leaves Smells like dirt and grass, in a good way. Super cleansing. As in your skin will literally squeak after using it, so I recommend using an in-shower moisturizer like King of Skin after using it.
OTHER:
Atomic Toothy Tabs Solid toothpaste that you crush up in your mouth. It sounds weird but these things are phenomenal. They really leave your teeth squeaky clean, and are the sole reason my teeth are so white - I don’t use any whitening products. This particular kind smells like cloves and cinnamon.
Ultrabalm All Purpose Balm This stuff is amazing. It’s an all-over balm for rough spots. I use it in the winter time on my hands and lips, because they get dry. I also use it year round on my face where I get dry spots, as it doesn’t clog pores.
Silky Underwear Dusting Powder Another holy grail. If you could turn cocoa butter into a powder, this would be it. It’s not drying like baby powder, it’s more silky (it’s also talc-free). I use it between my legs to prevent chafing and under my boobs when it’s hot outside to prevent sweating.
Thank you so much for this!! 💕🙌🏼😘
“WHAT THE FUCK ARE SOURCE TAGS??”
people have been messaging me asking what a source tag is so here you go
Source Tagging is the process of embedding an EAS label into a product’s primary packaging or into the product itself at the point of manufacture. The process leads to greater retail chain efficiencies, increased sales, lower shrink and higher profitability.
source tags are hard to find, unlike a RFID tag, the source tag is in-bedded into the product making it naked to the eye.
ways of finding source tags are simple.
1. Run your magnet around the product. if it kinda gets stuck on one area then thats where the source tag is.
2. look on tags on clothing. like the ones that say “remove before washing” those are traceable source tags. The company can track where that idem moves if you don’t remove it in store.
Source tags can be a pain, but always remeber to check for them!
Good info to know!
DSW Pink flats - $50 Black flats - $50 - $100
So I’ve never really lifted shoes before. Mostly because I really don’t like on floor concealing, unless it’s someplace like Michael’s with glaring blindspots and employees who don’t acknowledge you. But I went to a DSW today that I’d never been to before, and they had a huge blindspot so I went for it. I took like 5 boxes to the blind aisle and tried them all on, then put these two pairs of flats in my bag and put all the boxes back. I put the empty boxes near the bottom so hopefully they aren’t found for awhile.

Please let me know how the dandruff control masque works, bc my dandruff has been terrible lately and I’ve been trying to find something to soothe it.
Hi ! Just sharing because I know bath and body works is lifted from a lot - Jan 1 of 2017 the us and Canada stores will merge and LP is going UP especially in Canada ! We have secret cams (little red lights on the ceiling) and if you come in after having been recorded stealing once, you will be apprehended even if you don't steal again (but usually not your first time unless u spend a lot of time) staff is being rewarded bonuses for calling security and reducing loss!! Be careful
Oh shit.MY DUDESCANADIAN DUDES AMERICAN DUDES!!!!
Holy fuck. While I’m freaked out, I’m going to make a comment here. This is coming from an Anon, meaning that we can’t verify the authenticity of this claim. Also, this whole little red light thing has gone around before, with some people saying that they never saw red lights on the ceiling. So please, be careful, but at the same time, take it with a grain of salt until we can verify this thing. For all we know, it could be someone trolling us, like with the radioactive dye that somehow was unnoticeable to everyone but yet would tell LP what you stole, where you concealed it, etc. unless deactivated at the register.
Ok a quick search on google and Wikipedia and I discovered that BBW has always been one company that opened the store in Canada starting in 2008. So saying that they are merging is obviously false. If the company did decide to put more security camera’s and lp into stores it would not happen overnight and certainly not overnight on new years. Most likely they would do it by region and have a team that would come in to add the camera’s and then they would go about hiring new lp for those stores. Also no store can apprehend you on your next visit after you lifted something. They could question you about your previous visit and even ban you but they could not arrest you unless you admitted to lifting something from them. This post sounded false from the start and I think it is fake. However I would still use caution and scope out your location and always be careful when lifting from anywhere.
happy new year!
I have a weird obsession with travel accessories omg
cotton on, nordstrom, brandy melville
total: $309
- - -
mostly concealed in the dressing room. at cotton on, I used other people as blindspots although I didn’t see any cameras. I held a huge notebook to my chest with the items I wanted behind it. I faced corners while holding the notebook with my left hand, having a shopping bag at my right wrist and used my right hand to drop stuff into my shopping bag. (might do a vid on this, it’s kind of hard to explain)
We are forced to live in a system that steals from us daily, Kill snitch culture.
Important things to keep in mind!
- never take from ‘mom and pop’ type store. Its likely you’ll actually harm them, whereas taking from a walmart wont effect much.
- never take items that a worker is assigned to monitor (usually super expensive items), theyll be in trouble for it. and its usually a minimum wage worker and usually they lose hours or pay, or they even get fired.
- similar to the above, never take things that are usually locked up for the above reason
- if its a store you know gives their near-expiration products to workers/charity, try to avoid taking the near expiration products.
- if youre taking clothing, avoid leaving hangers. it sounds weird, but itll make it seem like it was more likely an error in the computer than a theft, since the empty hanger sitting there will seem suspicious.
- also for clothing, try not to take more than one item at once, as it will look suspicious if theres 10 medium shirts missing, and it won’t be written off as just a stocking error. and it will lead to workers being penalized
- basically just always consider ‘will this harm a worker’ and if the answer is yes then dont do it
like i was homeless for a while when i was younger and i tried to follow those guidelines to avoid doing harm to people who were probably not much better off than me while trying to get food for myself.
Holy crap, is there like an unspoken thieves code or something?!
it’s a thing. I won’t even lie. I watched someone slip a nursing exam book in their bag at the store I worked at. She made eye contact with me and the blood drained from her face. I simply gave her a sympathetic nod and walked away.
I live in a small town and I knew she was a waitress at a hotel my sister works at, and people at that hotel don’t tip well during off season. Nursing exam books are 50+ bucks. Being a med student myself, I didn’t even breathe a word, and when inventory came up later and the book was missing, I suggested it was likely a mislabel, and the manager wrote it off.
Sometimes, thievery is a necessity. Don’t send people to jail over petty shit.
Don’t snitch. That is all.
We been saying snitches get stitches
