It wasn't sudden.

You really want me? Fine. If you want it, I’ll give it to you.
THE HEART KILLERS | EP3
fathers casually dropping the craziest lore of their lives in the middle of a conversation
My brother and I trying to piece together our dad’s life based on random info he casually brings up once and then never mentions again
When my great grandpa was on his deathbed my grandpa (his son) was with him and says his last words were “I told them they shouldn’t have hanged that woman. Well by damn they’re paying now” and no one in my family knows what the fuck that means
My grandmother was harassing me about the dangers of online dating, and my grandpa was like, “Oh fer crying out loud, leave her alone. My parents met online, she’ll be fine.” Apparenly my great grandparents were both telegraph operators who would chat over the line in between messages and fell in love and my great grandma moved halfway across the country to marry a dude she met over the telegraph.
No one alive in the family had ever heard this story until like 70+ years later when I happened to start seeing a dude from OK Cupid.
I didn’t find out they guy I had been calling my grandpa was actually my dad’s step dad until I was like 9 when I met my my actual grandfather who LIVED IN MY HOMETOWN because shortly after knocking up grandma he came out as gay and she took that personally. his partner is very nice we don’t talk a lot though
when i was in high school i started dating this guy who had a couple of half-siblings who he’d never known about until one of them was killed in a car accident, which i obviously thought was very sad. i was talking to my mom about it and she was like, if you had half-siblings would you want to know (i’m an only child)? and that’s when i found out i had FOUR much older half-siblings on my dad’s side. fucked me right up because he was a great, loving, involved father to me and a deadbeat loser to them. :/

Chappell Roan as Botticelli’s Venus 🐚
"their relationship is strictly platonic" "they're so in love" well, more importantly, they are fucking weird and abnormal about each other in an undeniable way
My favorite thing is when a character stares noble idiocy in the face and says, "no, I don't think we'll be doing that today." So obviously, my favorite scene in this episode was Mut calmly listening to Rak end things, confirming he is released from the contract and doesn't have to obey him anymore, and then proceeding to ignore him, beat the shit out of his dad, and show Rak just how little power over them that man actually has. 10/10, no notes, character moment of all time.

Can you unbutton your shirt for me, please?
Horniness is not intrinsically less pure than any other human motivation
"He only made this art because he was horny!" ...Yeah, and? You only made a sandwich because you were hungry.
i always think this about media. like, if people can enjoy a car chase or swordfight or soliloquy, i can (and will!) appreciate a well-shot and performed sex scene, and i’m not going to feel bad about it. 🥰
🔥 H-O-T-T-O-G-O 🔥
Mini Chappell, bless my timeline.

Time for a new poll! I'm curious to see the spread of answers on this one (and hear any other series not on the list.) Tried to go for a range of older and newer series on here, more on the older end of the spectrum, but I can't cover everything with the limited poll options here, so I hope you'll share your answers! :)
