Hey! I love your writing so so much. If it's possible, can you do a snipped where it's an angel and a demon. Because they've been in love, the Angel's wings are completely black and the demons magic is white. *please also two girls 😂💖* I love your writing and you're an inspiration to me so much.
“You…” It was the first time in a while that the two of them had seen each other.
She knew the change in her own wings, of course. She knew the prayers and warnings and cures which had started when the feathers first began to tinge smoky and gray and ink-dipped. She somehow still hadn’t expected to see the light that had spread across her lover’s wings in turn.
The demon drank up the sight of her; hungry, resplendent in the twilight.
It had been too long since they had last seen each other.
“Me,” the demon agreed. Her horns, too, had turned white, as ivory as elephant tusks.
“You love me,” the angel said.
“And you fell for me,” the demon replied, stepping closer with the curve of a smile. “Why else would they try so hard to keep you away from me?”
“They said you didn’t love me.”
“Funny, how often they say that sinners are incapable of such things. I suppose it makes them feel better.”
“I had faith,” the angel whispered, like confession, and perhaps it was. How could it not be for an angel to believe in a demon, above all else?
The angel closed the rest of the gap between them, smoothing her fingertips along those wings. They looked like the angel’s own wings had once looked.
“Personally, I always thought the colour coding was a bit on the nose,” the demon murmured. “There is plenty of sweetness in darkness. Plenty of good.”
“And plenty of evil in light.” The angel knew all of those things, knew a colour meant nothing, and yet she couldn’t help but stare. If not for those horns, the demon would have looked more angelic than she did.
They had changed each other - become something less absolute, something far more human in the end than a divine chess board of black and white.
The demon leaned in and kissed her again, so softly.
The angel kissed back, so fiercely, tangling their fingers in the demon’s hair.
Nothing in heaven, hell or earth would keep them away again.
