AITA for Going on the Run from the Police?

I (60m) am a convicted felon. I was in prison for about twenty years. I’m not going to tell you what I was in for, because the crime was so long ago that it stopped mattering. The important thing is that prison made me into a monster. When I was finally released, they gave me the kind of paperwork that says “this man is dangerous and you should never approve him for jobs or housing.” However bad you think I was, I was worse.

After I was freed, I robbed an innocent old man and a poor little kid. Then I went on the run from the police.

I AM the asshole. I’m looking for confirmation. Don’t tell me I’m not, I don’t need any pardon except for that of my own conscience.
