Wideye is an old transformers prime oc I made back in 2018. She starts off her story (from what I remember) as good friends with Orion Pax, and meets Megatronus through him. Eventually, Megatronus wants to court Wideye.
Time goes by, and Wideye follows the mech she loves into the Decepticon ranks, and becomes his first SIC. Pass by around a decade or so, Wideye finally sees what her love has blinded her from. Wideye then makes the decision to defect, deactivating her comms and tracker.
Wideye travels to Iacon in search of her old friend, Orion pax, or Optimus Prime. She requests he is the one to offline her for her crimes, but he objects to that. He offers her a place in the Autobots Iacon base as a Neutral.
Eventually Wideye becomes an Autobot, and earns the rank of Captain.
The story of her I recovered:
âI regret many things in the world. That I followed love blindly, that I was too late to see what the war was doing to my home. We all can be scared and angry, but I blocked everything out. I watched so many of the mechs and femmes I cared about disappeared because of war. I had to leave the ones I loved so much.â
A Bias Seeker was lingering around the Autobot city, Iacon. Their posture was slouchy, very unlike any other seekers. Seekers were prideful âbots, sucking in any praise theyâre given. The surrounding area was dark giving cover to the seeker. Their optics seemed to be searching for something.
âA signal is coming from over there,â A voice spoke in the distance. By now the seeker was heading straight for them, not caring about whatever happened to them. They came into view of the patrol, immediately being called after.
They reached the seeker who didnât move from where their peds were planted into the metal ground. Their gaze hard as they looked at the mech who had been on patrol. Three mechs. One they could identify as Prowl: Autobot SIC.
âLieutenant Wideye? What are you doing on Autobot territory?â Prowl questioned.
âIâve come to talk to Optimus,â Wideye admitted. âI give you permission to use any precaution needed.â
The two mechs behind Prowl looked at each other with uncertainty. Who wouldnât? The Decepticon SIC giving themselves up without a fight.
âI chose to give myself up then. I was disappointed in too much to care what happened to me, even if death became the solution.â
âCome on. Warpath, contact Optimus and notify him of a visitor,â Prowl said. Wideye had a pair of restraints placed around her wrist guarding, and her weaponâs disabled. She walked between the three of them, completely silent.
âWhat are you planning, âCon? To give away our bases location?â the mech in the far back accused. Wideye inhaled.
âIâve defected. All records and my tracker have been disabled or erased,â Wideye stated blandly.
âLike weâll believe that,â Wideye turned around, glaring at the mech.
âI surrendered myself peacefully, I only want to talk with Optimus. After, he can decide my fate. I also suggest you learn to watch your mouth, mech. Someday it may just offline you,â Wideye turned back around and followed after Prowl again. Her wings hanging from the amount of sadness she was going through. Her optics stayed cast to the ground, her dermas curled in a frown. Â
âWeâre almost there,â Prowl muttered over his shoulder. The site of the large builds started to bring dread into her spark but she quickly stomped it down. She needed to speak with Optimus. There would be no better time before the mech she once courted with comes looking for her.Â
âCome on, this wayâ they continued to walk for another half cycle, coming to a building that didnât seem like much.
âI still donât like that we are bringing the âCons SIC into our base,â the mech behind Wideye said.
âIâve already told you, I have defected! Can you get that through your thick processor?â Wideye hissed.
âI will have Ratchet check her over for any tracker,â Prowl said to the mech behind her.
âDo as you must, I donât care,â she muttered.
The walk inside the base was long. Many of the mechs and femmes there cast looks to her, yet she didnât care. Her optics were trained ahead of her, past Prowl. The medbay was coming up along the hall; their first destination.
âPlace a report to Teletrann-1, Iâll deal with Wideye,â Prowl commanded. Warpath and the other red mech disappeared, leaving just her and Prowl outside the medbay.
âLetâs go,â he led her past the medbay leaving her confused. âI donât need a medic to scan for a tracker, Lieutenant.â
âPlease, do not call me by that rank. I want nothing to do with it,â Wideye said. The two continued down the hall until they came to an office.
âOptimus should be inside,â she inhaled as Prowl opened the sliding door. Inside, Wideye saw the mech she had also grown up with. Both living in Iacon and working with Alpha Trion.
âOrion,â She spoke up. The red and blue mech looked up and looked to be surprised. âWideye?âÂ
âYes, Orion. I came to talk with you,â she murmured.
âDisengage her restraints,â Optimus said, looking at Prowl. The cuffs around her wrists fell off with a click. âYour dismissed, Prowl.â
The white armored mech nodded and left, to door sliding shut behind him. Optimus gestured to a seat in front of his desk, which she slowly sat in. The silence was the owner of the office, it was almost suffocating.
âIâm sorry,â she whispered.
âWhat for, Wideye?â Optimus asked.
âI followed Megatronus blindly, I didnât see the ambition get to him. Heâs changed. Heâs not the mech I loved so much. I chose to follow him, now I will accept any punishment you deem necessary,â Wideye said, letting out her spark. Tears had started to brim her optics as she wallowed in her own pitty.
âThere will be no punishment. You may stay here as a neutral, however, I cannot promise youâll be treated fairly,â Optimus said.
âThank you, Orionâ Wideye murmured.
âIâll have our medicâs fully remove you insignia,â he added.
âOptimus Prime. A wonderful friend. Even when I left him to follow the mech I loved. He showed me mercy, not a very common thing in a brutal war.â
Optimus walked with Wideye through the halls in comfortable silence. Her seeker wings flicked every now and then. Many strange looks were cast at her as she walked beside Optimus. Coming into the medbay, Wideyeâs optics were caught by one mech in the medbay.
âRatchet?â The mech turned from his work and saw the femme beside Optimus. His optics wide with surprise.
âWideye?â he murmured.
âHello, Ratchet,â Wideye said.
âWhat are you doing here?â Ratchet questioned.
âI came to talk with Optimus, I told him I have no place in this war anymore. From what he said no punishment will be done,â Wideye said. Ratchet picked up on the disappointment in her tone and in her dull violet optics.
