Fandom spaces have become more and more unbearable and toxic.
I need people to explain to me the audacity of BL fans and the lack of humanity most of you are showcasing on a daily basis. You are so caught up in your make-believe BL world that you genuinely do not see these actors as real people; you make up scenarios about them, label them, and then run with it without an ounce of consideration.
Chimon has been subjected to nonstop hate, especially since he was paired up with Perth. A reminder that Aof wanted him in a BL; he was the one who catsed him and paired him with Perth.
Even when he recently got hospitalized, his family, especially his sister, and friends were sent hate messages and harassed online. Zero empathy, zero consideration when all you care about is how good a kiss scene is. I am disgusted. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks and yet people still couldn’t find even a bit of kindness towards him.
I have seen all you big BL accounts on this platform and “content creators” on TikTok and YouTube, and how genuinely vile your hate disguised as “criticism” has been towards him and all your passive-aggressive comments. YOU fuel the hate in these spaces.
Depression doesn’t come out of nowhere, and Chimon has shared that publicly, which by itself is such a hard thing to do. He’s been working nonstop since he was a teenager, taking care of his family’s debt, getting his sister through school and university, and getting himself a scholarship. He’s even spoken about going through a tough time before while he was playing Wave, to the point where he was considering leaving acting. But then again, you don’t need to know all of this to be a decent person towards another human being. You just need to have a functioning brain.
I’ve seen videos, tweets, and comments of people celebrating, wishing a “prettier” person for Perth, and just carrying on with the bullshit. What a heartless bunch you all are.
Chimon always puts on a smile and pushes through. He is always praised for his work ethics, his kindness, and for making the people around him feel comfortable and respected. He takes acting seriously and talks passionately about it. He is strong, and he will get through this and come back and shine. I just hope people online leave him alone. You got what you wanted; he is not in your precious BL shows.
There is a reason some actors shy away from BL. And newsflash, it has nothing to do with being paired with someone of the same gender.

I reblogged this yesterday’s night “just for fun and because I don’t want any bagel to be mad with me”, and today’s afternoon, while I was losing my time as always, the professor I was supposed to work with called me and asked me for my personal information to start working with her.
I just hope all the fucking trolls leave Chimon alone now. You won, congratulations. You are horrible people who couldn’t even let up when someone was in the hospital but you finally get to see Perth with someone else. Enjoy your horrible sad lonely lives.

While we are all sad and missing them, I want to finally take the time to discuss what I personally believe is PerthChimon’s greatest appearance ever – what I call The Interview, from the morning of their fanmeet in Taipei.
Let’s break down why this is an absolute masterpiece and the most exceptionally MARRIED they have ever been:
THINGS TO SEE AND DO
They open with an adorable little moment where they mess up their introduction and then you get Chimon cheering when they get it right
Then the interviewer asks “Before coming to Taiwan did you two discuss where to go or what to eat here” and Chimon immediately touches Perth’s leg and says “About food, you have to ask Perth”. Which I take away to mean that Perth always picks the restaurant for both of them. MARRIED #1
Perth then adds “actually WE want to ask everyone to suggest US a delicious menu” and Chimon nods along. MARRIED #2
So then, they get asked if they’ve talked about where they want to travel and Perth has a very nice answer for what he wants to do. I love how thoughtfully Chimon watches him while he says this.
Well then, Chimon adds “And WE want to go to the 101 Building, which is quite high” (aka, they talk about things they want to see and do together)
This is when an AMAZING sequence – that will last the whole weekend – kicks off. Because Perth starts excitedly patting him on the arm and says “Ah, that’s because he likes Pikachu!” In response, Chimon gets so sulky and they have an entire back and forth, even looping the interviewer in. MARRIED #3.
And then they whisper and giggle to each other while that’s being translated. MARRIED #4.
I’m not going to document every time they touch each other or sneak glances in this interview because it’s literally constant
Okay so if you’re still reading (we’re only like maybe 15% through), then we get to the absolute best part of the interview. They get asked “Do you dare eat stinky tofu?” Which is when we learn (re-learn?) that Perth enjoys eating “strange” things.
Chimon agrees that he would also try it. To which they ask him, “If Chimon not dare to eat, Perth will eat it all, right?” Chimon jumps in right away (borderline interrupting) to say “YES, YES, YES” with thumbs up.
Well, this is the question answered, right? Um, no. It’s not. Because Perth begins “Actually, whenever we have something, WE’LL SPLIT IT IN HALF AND SHARE WITH EACH OTHER.” Chimon doesn’t want him to say this. Chimon very clear wants him to stop – he both puts a hand on Perth’s leg and says “It’s okay”. But Perth finishes anyway, revealing this secret to us.
They. Always. Split. Their. Food. In. Half. And Share. This is married x1000 but MARRIED #5. It’s really fun loving a branded pair that apparently does the shippiest thing in the entire world constantly but outright refuses to ever show you so
Perth Tanapon is STILL. NOT. DONE. He goes on to say (while Chimon takes a deep breath) “if there’s happiness, we will share together. If there’s suffering, we will share too.” I think this is him trying to cover for the food reveal?? But also that’s one of the most stupidly romantic things I’ve ever heard in my life (also don’t talk to me about this quote and LOL weekend because I will start crying).
Somehow this part is still not done. Because Chimon feels compelled to tell us “Perth is on his way to gain muscle, so has to eat a lot.” OKAY CHIMON. Perth adds (while touching him) “You have started too”. Thank you for using this official interview to flirt with each other and giggle. MARRIED #6.
THE BIRTHDAY
The subject then changes to Perth’s birthday and what he did to celebrate.
They ask Chimon what he gave Perth. He says “I can’t tell you, but it’s similar to a picture frame” and then looks very proud of himself (You didn’t ask, but I think it’s a signed record). Perth says “I like it, I will display it soon”. Again, the way Chimon LOOKS at him. ((Perth is going to hang Chimon’s gift on his wall. That’s cool. I’m not emotional or anything about this)). (((As a reminder Perth also has their Photobook and Wink magazine cover on display, along with paintings of PIKACHU and a fox)))
Perth gets asked who was first to wish him HBD. He says his mom. (the REAL answer however, is Chimon, who surprised him with a cake on stage in Hong Kong)
THEIR CAREERS
They ask Perth about watching Chimon’s work before they got partnered. First, they have a nice exchange about how they worked together on their very first series. Then we learn that Perth “CONTINUED TO FOLLOW THE NEXT WORK OF P’MON, LIKE THE GIFTED” (Perth and his minor crush on Chimon since 2017, let’s goo. Perth you totally had a thing for Wave, right??)
PC have a very cute back and forth about how the Gifted has two parts (don’t get me started on the Gifted Graduation though)
For some reason they don’t ask Chimon if he’s ever watched Perth’s past work which HOW DARE
I absolutely hate the next sequence which I find inappropriate and deals with how they can “act like a boyfriend”/”cooperate as a couple”, so I’m not going to give it much airtime. I will note Perth tries to take the fall and be the one to answer it, and then he gives the most dejected “your turn” motion when they call on Chimon to do so as well.
The sheer extent to which PC refuse to give away personal details about themselves however is embodied by the fact that their stock answer for what they have in common is loving the same color. (affectionate)
THE SAGA OF PIKACHU
I want to make it very clear that the question they are next asked is “Today you have been together SINCE MORNING until now. Is there anything interesting or cute about each other that you want to share with us?”
Chimon very adorably excitedly and enthusiastically jumps in to tell us in great detail about Perth’s new haircut. This is when the HANDS really get going in this interview.
THEN, Perth begins. And before he even gets going, Chimon warns him “Say it carefully na” I don’t know WHAT Chimon was scared he was going to say – it clearly wasn’t what Perth did say, so I would love to know where his mind went – but Perth tells us “I feel P’Mon is very cute because when he sleeps he has to hug the doll every day”
PERTH. SIR. They asked about TODAY. Unless you woke up with him before you went to the airport, you did not see him sleep today. Why is this where your mind went?!?
I cannot do justice to the sequence that follows as Perth manages to dig a deeper hole for himself, talking about Pikachu. The way Perth puts both hands on him. The sequence of faces Chimon makes. The way Perth’s voice goes so so soft. MARRIED #7
Also shout out to Chimon who tries so hard to say “Now I like CARS”.
Perth finally realizes he’s in the dog house and so when the interviewer tries to ask Chimon more actually INTERRUPTS to say “Actually have to say first that fans bought a lot of Pikachu for P’Mon.” He further goes on to describe how Chimon’s house is full of them, which is when Chimon jumps in and adds that he no longer has a bed to sleep in. Again, the smiles, the laughs, the hands; the way Perth teases him while the translation is happening. Please watch this part. MARRIED #8
Chimon then gets asked if they know Taiwan has a Pokemon Center. An absolutely adorable exchange ensues where Chimon says he wanted to go quietly without taking any photos and Perth says “Why not take pictures? I’ll take for you” (all while Chimon shushes him) MARRIED #9 ((they actually get called out by the interviewer for how sketchy they are in this part))
Perth very raptly watches Chimon learn more about the Pokemon Center, including that there are “rare editions only available in Taipei”. To which he hits Chimon on the shoulder and very confidently declares “You like it.” They have another conversation just between the two of them, then giggle. MARRIED #10.
Somehow, Chimon’s torment is not over. Because Perth feels compelled to add “I feel like that his face also looks like Pikachu”. Even as Chimon openly gets sulky, Perth continues to elaborate, including making gestures in the air. Again, Chimon protests so much but has a kind of shyly pleased smile on his face after. MARRIED #11.
But then, Chimon realizes he can enact his revenge. And he says “Actually Perth also likes Pikachu”. To which we get what I call Perth’s ‘flirty slap’, which I’ve only ever seen him do to Chimon. Perth says “Nope, when!” And Chimon says “PERTH SAID THAT MON LIKED IT SO HE ALSO LIKED IT.”
Stooop. Perth would. This is also one of the sappiest things I’ve ever heard. Perth doesn’t even protest this!! He just gets shy and says “I have to change the topic too” MARRIED #12
Okay even more happens after this but I am running out of steam. Other highlights include Chimon encouraging Perth to sing and Perth getting very into it, Chimon talking about how he gets through filming a difficult scene (including focusing "on Perth"), and more HANDS.
In conclusion, since I don’t believe anyone has continued reading this far, I can very easily get so delulu over this ridiculously soft, affectionate, domestic interview, and I just think every single PC fan should watch it in full!!

Okay so! You need to download something!
Be it a movie, a game, a software, a book. Where do you even start? You know people catch viruses or fines pirating, so how to do it, and do it safely? This is going to be a bit verbose, so coloured text has the most important info. THIS WILL BE LONG but you can just skim it! (P.S. there are some goodies for artists in the end so do take a peek there if you do art and would like courses or procreate brushes) By the end of this you should be able to download or stream almost anything.
(Disclaimer: I'm not super knowledgeable on the technical side of things, just a moderately seasoned pirate. Will explain stuff to the best of my abilities, but there will be wild semplifications. If there's any issue, or precisations you'd like to make, or just need a hand with something, feel free to reach out to me directly on here!)
Putting a cut here so I don't spam your dashes <3 - now, here we go:
First off: ADBLOCKERS. It's dangerous to go alone. Take this: a little browser add-on that will prevent you from seeing ads and popups ever again. Yeah, no more ads on Youtube either btw. Most malware you risk getting while pirating is the result of ads and pop-ups!
Important: Chromium based browsers will start dropping support for adblockers starting 2023. These include: Chrome, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave. (Brave has its built-in adblocker, but it's very controversial, has a huge focus on crypto, and tries to push its own crypto trading ads on you, among other things.)
This is simply happening because Google (who mantains Chromium) is in big parts an Ad Company, aka makes money from selling ads to you.
Mozilla Firefox is not affiliated or mantained in any way by Google, and will support Adblocking indefinitely. Just so you know.
The BEST Ad Blocker around is uBlock Origin, by Raymond Hill (gorhill). It's recommended that you use it at all times, as it will not slow down your browser but will improve your user experience drastically! Official add-on installs: Firefox, Chrome (until 2023)
How does it work?
There are two kinds of downloads: Direct Downloads and Torrents.
Direct Download Link (DDL): you click on the thing, the browser downloads it. Simple! It's an 1 on 1 communication between you and their servers. Pros: no hassle, super easy, nothing else to do, pretty safe. Cons: downloading big files is sloooow, and if your connection falters just a few seconds, you gotta start from the top again.
Torrenting: the good stuff. It's "Peer to Peer", or P2P. The way I understand it: you're put in a room (a "swarm") with a bunch of people. Some want the file (Peers and Leechers), some already have it and are giving it around (Seeders). You all share small pieces of the file around, and eventually everyone will get a complete file.
Seeders are the most important part: a torrent with zero seeders will not start (no one is giving out the file). A torrent with 200 seeders will be immensely faster than one with 3 seeders.
It's good etiquette to seed back what you download, in a 1:1.10 ratio: you upload what you downloaded (1:1) and then a little more. Sharing is caring!
Pros: fast, you can stop and resume whenever you want, you can find torrents of mostly anything, easy to download big files.
Cons: unsafe without a VPN (might get fined), a bit harder to understand, might take an hour or two to set everything up.
We will get more into Torrenting right now, as it will be the main way to pirate things.
How to Torrent files?
You will need: a Torrent Client, a VPN (optional, recommended), and either a .torrent file or a magnet link. Don't panic, this is easy!
Torrent Client: a little software that will actually manage the downloading. There is no reason to use anything else than qBittorrent: it's free, open source, frequently updated, has no ads, and has a neat little feature that we will see later. Download and install it and you're all set!
VPN: ok, so. You *can* download things without a VPN. I've done it a bunch. Please know, it's unsafe. VPNs are, like, the condoms of piracy. Depending on how strict your Internet Service Providers are about piracy, without them you might get a hefty fine, or simply a warning, or nothing at all. With torrenting, sadly, ISPs can kind of exactly see what you're downloading. VPNs fool your ISP. I'm not a fan of how much VPN services are fooling us in thinking we need them - but sadly us pirates DO need them.
I would personally not recommend free VPNs, they aren't too reliable in my experience. I also advice to use a VPN that allows "port forwarding" as that will make the downloads faster.
The most loved VPN service in the pirating community is Mullvad. It's VERY secure, actually cares about your privacy (unlike Nord, or even Proton sadly), has no yearly plans to rope you into nasty subscription models. It's so privacy oriented that you don't even need an email, they will simply give you an account number and you will use that. They do NOT want your data. Super neat!
Their service is 5€ a month, and I suggest paying only one month, downloading a shitton of stuff, and then just leaving it be until you need another month of downloading bonanza.
You will see they accept and encourage crypto payments. Please don't judge them too harshly for this. I hate crypto as much as the next tumblr user - but this is not for crypto bros, this is because they really would like to not have your data if possible. There's people who want to avoid leaving behind any sort of trail showing that they, personally, purchased a VPN, and this option serves them.
Torrent files, magnet links: a torrent file is an actual file you download and open in your client. You download "bee_move.torrent", open it in qBittorrent, and it will start downloading! A magnet link simply bypasses having an actual file. it's a link that you will directly open in your client and will tell it what it needs to know, and acts in place of a .torrent file. They're virtually the same. There are dedicated torrent sites that let you search for the torrent you want, and offer either a torrent file or magnet download. Let's see how to find them!
Where to find stuff?
r/piracy Megathread - there are links to pirate anything that could be pirated. Navigate to the section you need and follow the instructions! There are usually both Torrent sites and direct download links. The masterpost isn't being mantained anymore - as of 31/10/2022, I'm still having luck with it and finding it a great resource. There are other masterposts though. For example, the Awesome Piracy megathread and the r/FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH wiki. As of April 2023, it’s being rewritten!! Hell yeah!! Go check it out!
But some of the torrent sites listed on the masterposts are broken! :(
I hear ya, I hear ya! It's perfectly normal. For technical / legal reasons that I cannot comprehend, torrent sites need to change URLs often. This is where unblockit comes in. I'm not sure how it works, so I'm just going to say that it's magic. It gives you working links to all the best torrenting, streaming, DDL sites. From books to music to, uh, adult material. I usually refer to the masterpost to know which sites are the most trustworthy, and then use unblockit to access them. Generally, for example, you will want to avoid ThePirateBay, and prefer 1337x instead.
ALMOST DONE!!! There's one last important thing to set. This is a safety measure, for those who use a VPN service and want to make the most of it.
At times, the VPN connection you are using might falter for some seconds. These few seconds that it's not working, your torrent might still be downloading, exposing your IP address briefly and letting your ISP catch you. There is an easy and quick way to prevent this from happening. It's called binding the VPN network interface to your torrent client - it's a big name, but it means you tell your client (qBittorrent) to ONLY connect to the internet via the VPN. No VPN? No connection. No IP leakage. Linked guide above will take you a couple minutes at most.
This is the basic stuff! :D You should be able to download pretty much all you need just from this!
However, since I'm a nerd, here's some other useful things, or more niche sites.
There are tips to make torrenting with VPN faster - I gotta be honest man, I still don't understand *how* this "Port Forwarding" business works, and for some reason I cannot get it to work right now with Mullvad (previously I had North which doesn't support this feature at all). My internet is too slow for me to really mind, anyway. But you should look into it if you're using a VPN and getting slow download speeds on torrents with 20+ active seeders.
Now, this is for all the artists out there. Online-courses.club has, like, an INFINITY of art courses and tutorials, and even some software. It's INSANE, super helpful, some of these courses would otherwise cost SO much. I've been getting a lot of use out of it. They're mostly DDLs, too! I can't recommend it enough!!!
Now, time for brushes. I've had a lot of difficulty finding good brushes for Procreate that didn't cost too much. This telegram channel has a neverending quantity of Procreate brushes: t.me/free_brushes. Sometimes Photoshop brushes crop up too. For some popular brushes, they ask for "donations" to download them instead of giving the actual download, which is a big yikes honestly. Thankfully, it's rare. In there, if you scroll really far, there's also a link to another smaller group to download Max Ulichney's brushes.
My favourite way to pirate and share music is Soulseek, a neat little software that work as a Peer To Peer service, but between you and a single other person at a time. You share all your music folder, and others can download from it when you're online. In return, you can download other people's music from their shared folders. It's lovely, the quality of the files is GREAT, the community is actually really chill and honest, since it's just a bunch of peeps sharing mp3s and flacs.
There's also a LOT of telegram bots to download music or videos from several platforms. @MusicDownloaderRobot downloads from Spotify, @joeymusicbot from Deezer, @mediadownbot rips videos and music from stuff like reddit, tiktok, facebook, twitter etc, and t.me/BotsArchive has a vast collection of bots just like these. They can come in handy!
Lastly, since I am Italian, here's some resources to find italian material.
Those around my age or older might remember TNT Village as the n.1 source of italian torrents. It's closed down, but the magnet links for archived stuff are still out there. Only way to access them that I found rn is this Telegram bot: @tntvsearchbot. Source code here for those who understand this stuff.
There's also programmiedovetrovarli, great resource for famous software (Adobe, Office, etc) with instructions in italian. Needs adblocker to be deactivated on their site, but has no popup ads, just standard banners.

Please remember: illegal does not automatically mean unethical, or immoral. Everyone is free to choose what to do and think about piracy. And then Perth is going to be in what will almost certainly be a mega hit, with a star studded cast. And he said he’s always wanted to work with that director.
I’m very grateful they both have a role in a non BL show. They are employed as ACTORS!!
So then the big asterisk here is that the rumor (you found, thank you!!) that PerthChimon are actually going to anchor their own ten episode show, would be what saves the day for me. Most of my sadness was at them being relegated to second pair and us losing so much time together filming, so many media opportunities, and so much more of a fleshed out story. If they have their own show, I’m very pleased.
Yotha and Gun are very interesting characters who each have different traumas they need to work through together. I love the idea of seeing a guarded Perth who stopped believing in love slowly fall for sunshine Chimon. I love the thought of a Chimon who’s terrified of the dark finding love and comfort. AND THEN THEY WERE ROOMMATES. It seems like it will have so much domesticity — here’s to handholding, tie tying, and hopefully bed sharing??
And there are few authors whose work are more beloved so being up there with Theory of Love and 2gether bodes well!!
I honestly can’t wait to fall in love with them as new characters.
