Dating Rosalie

Rosalie would be very overprotective. If someone rubs you the wrong way, she’ll be there to put them in their place

I can see Rose being big on public displays of affection. She’s always swooned over the idea of love, and I’m sure she would be a proud girlfriend who would parade around with you to let everyone know that you are hers

Rose is a hopeless romantic and she would adore over-the-top gestures and grand proclamations of love. Be sure to shower her with dozens of red roses and diamond rings!

Expect many romantic getaways and lots of kisses and cuddling. Lots.

She would love to play the piano for you

There would be so much playful teasing... Rose is a force of sass to be reckoned with!

Her favorite game, making you say please when you ask for a kiss, trying to conceal her smile and failing miserably

She would love playing with your hair. She could sit for hours and just run her hands through your hair mindlessly

Rose sneaking up and surprising you with cuddle attacks from behind

Gossiping together about the others in the house... And being completely aware that Edward is listening, so you talk about him even more

You would bring out the best in her and encourage her everyday to become the best version of herself she can be

I honestly love Seth Clearwater more than anything. He is just so pure, courageous and righteous. I don’t know about you, but I found it absolutely incredible that at just fifteen years old, fifteen, he would prepare to sacrifice so much,in order to do what’s right. Not for praise or glory, but out of complete selflessness and empathy. Most fifteen-year-olds wouldn’t even understand the concept of such conscience, let alone result to that process of thinking without a moment’s hesitation. His first instinct in that moment was to put his life on the line in order to serve a greater good, and that to me is absolutely, unfathomably incredible. 

If Seth Clearwater isn’t the true embodiment of pure Goodness, then I don’t know what is.

This is a really interesting article that sheds some light on the idea of imprinting based on a concept common in Mormon literature called premortal romance.  By this logic, imprinting isn’t the loss of choice; instead, the choice was made by your spirit-self in premortal existence–you just can’t remember it.  Quil and Claire were already in love and chose each other in their premortal state; likewise Jacob and Renesmee (and arguably the vampire couples, too).  “The werewolves of the Twilight books never know if or when they will imprint on someone. Once they become a werewolf during adolescence, they may imprint at any time, and once they do, any prior relationship becomes unsustainable because an imprinted werewolf can never turn away from their imprintee. This mode of romantic relationship, instigated by sudden recognition and then lasting eternally, bears strong similarity to a type of romantic relationship popular in Mormon literature since the publication of Nephi Anderson‟s novel Added Upon in 1898: the premortal romance. In basic structure, this narrative mode begins before mortality, with two spirits developing a romance-like relationship; the parties are then driven toward rediscovering their soul mate during mortality. Then, when found, the moment of recognition between the premortal lovers leads to a forgetting of all prior mortal attachments. From this moment on, the lovers are inseparable: in life, in death, forever. Examining the premortal romance structure provides insight into imprinting and demonstrates how Meyer has taken a classic device of Mormon fiction and expanded it—perhaps exploded it—bringing a moral complexity missing in her progenitors‟ work.”

The link seems to be dead, alas, but the idea is that in some Mormon literature (like novels with Mormon authors and themes, not scriptures) there was this idea that spirits/souls existed in some realm prior to their births and it was in this premortal existence that soulmates chose each other. So when they met as humans in the mortal world, they recognize each other. It’s not a lack of free will, it’s that the choice was made by their spirit-selves before they were born.

This is so fascinating. There can be so much stigma behind imprinting, but this post has helped me see it in a completely new light. 

The concept of rediscovering a love forged in a past spiritual existence is one of the most breathtaking ideas I have ever come across.

Can I get a girl and guy ship? I'm 5'4", currently ginger, green/brown eyes, pale, pansexual, and hella curvy. I'm quite sarcastic and hotheaded. I read, write, and listen/play music in my free time. Rose’s favorite thing to do in the entire world is to listen to your music. It is the only time she can truly escape from her constant state of consciousness. And for just a moment, listening to you play, she forgets about her inescapable, eternal being and completely zones out. It’s her form of meditation, and it gives her a break from life to absorb the music and emotionally relax.

Rose would absolutely adore your little quirks. They are, after all, what make you human. These ‘imperfections’ as you think of them, are exactly what she has mourned since her transformation. And she understands how it feels to be ‘different’, but those slight differences are the human traits she’s been missing for so long. What she really wants more than anything is to be human with you; she wishes she could share your uniqueness and grow and change as you do. And so it kills her when you think of yourself as ‘inferior’ or ‘unworthy’ because to her, those little things you wish you could change are the most desirable details of all.

Male: Your best match is definitely Seth Clearwater!

The two of you are polar opposites, but that’s what makes your relationship function so beautifully. Seth is very much a mellow, bright person all the time, and you seem to be a lot more of a strong personality than he is. The two of you counteract each other, which is crucial for a relationship to function. Whenever things become heated between you and fellow hothead Paul, cheery little Seth is there to calm you down like no-one else can. In the same way, whenever you start to feel anxious, he’ll be right beside you to hold your hand and walk you through whatever stressful situation life brings you. And you in turn are there to defend him against the pack’s teasing. I also imagine serious situations would be especially difficult for him as he does rely so heavily on his optimism, and you are the perfect person to guide him through the hardships because of all the trials and tribulations you have experienced and soldiered through yourself. Despite all the contrast, I picture Seth as a very sarcastic person too, and the two of you would definitely share the same sense of humor. All in all, I believe that you would balance out both of your flaws, lift your partner’s spirits and bring out the best in each other in a way that displays an incredible side of you that is ready and capable of facing the world with your best friend and soul mate by your side.

Life and Death

So upon re-reading it recently I have decided that Life and Death is my favorite book of all time.

Okay, hear me out.. I know it’s just a re-imagining, but to me the story line is even more intriguing than the original series, for the sole reason of one miss Edythe Cullen. 

An unpopular opinion maybe, that this gender-switched character could possibly outshine the characters of the true Twilight books, but I have honestly grown so head-over-heels in love with Edythe over the last few days. 

She is, in all honesty, the embodiment of everything I’ve ever strived to be; an intelligent, compassionate, beautiful, strong and capable woman. The perfect model of a powerful female protagonist, an unstoppable force so far beyond our comprehension, yet still so human, and vulnerable. 

While reading L+D I have completely disassociated the characters from their original counterparts. Although most of the content is the same, there’s just something so different about each of them that it’s hard not to see them as their own living personalities. Edythe is such an intricate character that after getting to know someone so deeply and intimately and learning of her thoughts, her feelings, her dreams, her deepest desires, it is impossible for me not to love her as a real person.

Maybe I’m alone on this one, but in my mind, Edythe Cullen is and always will be an amazing and awe-inspiring figure who has changed and shaped me in a way I never thought possible of a literary character, and one who I will love so deeply for the rest of my life.

The two of you have the same vibe and I feel like you would connect really deeply. 

The first thing that stood out to me was your passion for boxing. I can see you bonding whilst beating the life out of a punching bag. Not your typical couple’s activity, but you wouldn’t be your average couple, either. 

You’re both extremely sarcastic and full of sass. Whenever someone says something stupid, all you have to do is exchange a glance to know exactly what the other is thinking. The Volturi wouldn’t know what hit them when the two of you walk the halls, rolling your eyes up to the moon. It is a force to be reckoned with when two sarcastic bosses unite to take on the world together.

Your nights would be spent cuddled up together in the candlelight as you read to her softly. In this moment she would come to realize just how much she loves you, and every once in a while you’d lift your gaze from the book to find hers, staring up at you in the soft light of the candles with a look of pure adoration sparkling in her eyes, a side of herself that only you could ever see.

Cullen: I ship you with Rosalie!

Rose would understand you like no-one else could.

You would have such a playfully sarcastic relationship. It would be as if you had your own language that only the two of you could understand. With your sarcasm levels through the roof, Carlisle would often worry that you were in a disagreement. Edward would constantly have to assure Carlisle that you were just having a little fun, no harm done. 

Rose would be so content just being in your presence. She could sit for hours just listening to the sound of your voice, playing with your hair and just absorbing your energy. Contrary to popular opinion, I don’t see her as the self-centered materialistic creature we are led to believe her to be. With you, Rosalie would forget her own name. She would be completely and utterly devoted to you. Did you achieve something new in Boxing? She’d be the proudest girlfriend in the world. Did you reach an intense part of the book you’re reading? She’s all ears. You wrote a new story? You’d better believe she would be the first to read it. Rose would love nothing more than to immerse herself in your interests to tie herself closer to you in every way possible. 

Because you are her princess, and she’d treat you as so.
