About
I know that Michaelsoft Binbows is the ancient lore, but it's so darn funny. I do have one on my computer. Store link in pinned post.
I might've gone a bit overboard on the Locked Tomb FF14 meme, but ... but it was so fun... and tacky... (the meme, that is.)
Get stickers at the Liminal Craft etsy! Link in pinned post.
So, tilting holo stickers around to catch the light is a lot of fun...

Etsy and Pirateship integration
So, the long-dreaded death of my shipping solution's API integration hit me. Pirateship is very useful as an aggregator for multiple points of sale, and Etsy's shipping isn't something I want to rely on since Etsy's already honest about scraping every penny they can. Sure, I can cave and go to the services Etsy (for some ulterior motive) wants me to have access to, but Pirateship WORKS and I like it. You can use Pirateship via copying and pasting the information, and copying the confirmation information back to Etsy, but that is grindingly inefficient.
So I did what a customer is allowed to do, and called the help line. Well, I requested a call, since you cannot call Etsy directly (that would be useful), or chat (that would require the chat to load on Firefox, and also not to be an LLM).
After four tries (two hangups and one callback that doesn't get picked up, because answering calls would be useful), I have a case number for a feature request (namely, restoring Pirateship's access) and an e-mail to follow up on. I will be following up on this.
If you use Pirateship and are running into this, I highly recommend you make that feature request as well. It's the only way things ever un-shittify.
Still salty that Affinity is dead.
Canva is not a replacement for a non-AI-bundled, independently developed, one-time-purchase piece of software. Buying out the competition, whose software I use on a regular basis, to scavenge its corpse for your "app" is not going to get me to switch to your AI-shilling software so you can resolve my identity for ad sales. That junk ain't going on my computer.
I've started turning over my file backlog to .svgs and such now, and some things just won't be recoverable, but at least Inkscape will work when Affinity eventually stops being an option for me.
fuck enshittification.
Hey! If you have something to tell me about my account, please state it in a comment. Because of spammers and scammers, I will not be replying to anyone who asks to be contacted.
Sometimes I get prints done... (this is a wip, though. The disco balls are purely vector with some glows laid over, the snails are vectors with raster painting.)
That moment when you've been doing starfields for game pixel art for a while and forgot how wildly different your brushes are for starfields on large format prints. D:

A haro and a conch! And the most deepest-of-cuts cat pillow (it shows up exactly once in ZZ Gundam; ...it was cute and I needed a cute thing.)
This was for practice in Paint Tool SAI 2, which can handle images at the size I work at. 1 had some memory issues on that score. I'm delighted to finally get back to the watercolor style that SAI is so good at.
You can see other shenanigans of mine at my site.

New stickers on the way! HOLOGRAPHIC STICKERSSSS. They should be in within a couple of weeks. If I'm lucky, I'll have some at the farewell to Toracon!
You can find my existing sticker stock (including the plain vinyl version of Mr. Scarab up there) at the Liminal Craft Etsy.
welp, new stickers if I can ever work myself out of the hole the manu has put me in. I... yes, yes I did select holographic options for several things... yes the files are at the sizes they're at... yes I don't know why y'all's website's automated upload thing resizes half of them to different aspect ratios and won't take some specified file types at all...
well, pending! :D

Process ALL the images!
Yall want in on some niche drama? The most highly regarded supplier of rings for chainmaille artisans, the ring lord, changed hands in 2019 and has been on a bit of a decline ever since. Inconsistency with color and size became an issue that lead me and many others to seek out different suppliers. It’s been a sad slide in quality. But they just did something I think will bite them in the ass.
So to preface this I’m not very knowledgeable about AI generated images. What I am pretty knowledgeable about is chainmaille, which most people visiting the ring lord website are at least aware of the aesthetic of. And the ring lord website had now posted this.
Anyone who zooms in a bit can see this is not chainmaille. Ai has generated an image of mesh. This is how they are advertising their riveted rings. They are even using it as the icons for the riveted rings.
Anyway whatever is going ok with the ring lord will continue to go on. Anyone interested in getting into chainmaille maybe check out chainmail joe instead.
West Coast Chainmail/Chainmaildude is also good! He was very kind to me, he got specific mandrel sizes when I needed them for pendants.
He had to pause his store because of some bot shenanigans, but he's trying out a new store and hopefully he will be able to sell things there soon. You can look up the company name on Facebook (I know, but there's a community for this there) and talk to him if you'd like to order anything.
Metal Designz is also OK (and sometimes has exactly some odd size), although I don't know what the cost differential is for importing at the moment.
