The other day I ran out of foundation, and a friend had been gushing about her new Maybelline FitMe! foundation and I wanted to get some. She told me where she got hers and I went out to get my own Maybelline FitMe! Foundation. I made sure I didn’t wear makeup. Well, it’s not like I wear makeup all the time, but you see, we were going to test out the foundation on my skin before buying and I was not about to start looking like badness happened to my makeup in the middle of the day.
Anyway, I went to the Maybelline outlet close by and got myself professionally matched. Unfortunately………. they didn’t have the FitMe! foundation in my shade. My heart was broken, I really wanted it!
But I was saved you see because they had Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation in my shade! Apparently, my shade is Almond. The lady swore by the foundation and kept saying I was going to love it so I bought it. Imagine me, buying something because the lady swore by it. Wow! Besides Maybelline is a proven makeup brand, right?
The foundation comes in a little glass pot. Basically, unless you’re careless, and leave your pot open, you do not risk any mess at all. Also, its small enough to carry around. Then I popped it open and oh my goodness! It smelled so good, ! was happy about that. Of course, I put my finger in just to feel it. It felt like actual mousse, soft and feathery.
I left it alone till the next morning when I would actually do a whole look. When I put my brush in, it felt so squishy and nice, it was like a new game. (sorry, I play with everything). I put it on my skin and it matched my skin tone perfectly, blending smooth and drying to just suit my skin perfectly. I need to mention that it was so soft, almost airy. It felt like soft feathery kisses were being placed on my skin as I was blending. I finished and took photos just to see how it looked. Oh, the flawless finish and the way it looked so natural that nobody thought I was wearing anything. Heh!
It lasts really long though, although you start to get oily after 7 hours or so. The one day I had issues with it, I did not put on any setting powder and I went to the hairdresser so all the oils and heat flying around spoiled my makeup, but it was easily fixed.
Do I like it? YES! Would I buy it again? Absolutely yes!
Thanks, Maybelline. I wonder how I never got this before. Some Makeup Junkie I am!
