when i was a kid i caught a couple episodes of beywheelz as a "nothing else is on and a better show is on after this" thing. and i was so convinced when i saw it that nicole and marche were lesbians. I dont know why. granted they're what every other lesbian couple looks like but i didnt know that at the time. i didnt even know the word "lesbian" to describe them yet. marche is always refered to with he/him, i didnt know what butches were when i was 9. but i knew that in a lot of the anime i watched there was casual girls love, and i knew from sailor moon specifically that you couldn't show that on cartoon network so they'd find ways around it. I literally just assumed marche got gender swapped in translation so they wouldn't have to put gay people in beywheelz. it didn't even occur to me that that might not be the case. they aren't even dating in the show.
