Hazel fun fact!

I made Hazel a musician for two reasons:

1. People often say music is what unites people. Hazel is somebody who struggles to make friendship through conversation or verbal communication. He often uses his music to express himself and make connections. This is also why I inspired him off of Caribbean culture.

2. He is inspired off of Orpheus. Much like Orpheus, how Hazel feels affects the songs he performs. And like Orpheus, his songs affect to mood of those around him. He’s like a bard of sorts. + Hazel would turn around for Leola.

Hot take: Disney should take another shot at adapting Artemis Fowl, but as a series.

My argument for this is that looking at Disneys book-to-show adaptations, they would EXCEL at stories like Artemis Fowl.

ex: Percy Jackson and The Olympians. The original book series was very humorous while also having an interesting story. The problem with the series is that it leans so much into the story that the beloved jokes from the original series are cut. It's so focused on the plot it forgets that Percy Jackson heavily relied on its comedy too.

With Artemis Fowl, the books are story reliant. They're captivating while not having much humour-value. Of course, they do occasionally throw a joke in that doesn't throw a wrench in the pacing. Disney seems to thrive with this type of writing

Movie sucks. Give Artemis Fowl Junior a show.

What Hazel thinks of other characters:

Lucy: Hazel thinks she's very sweet, although is a bit unnerved by them being able to see the future. The future FREAKS Hazel out. Other than that, Hazel likes listening to Lucy's perspectives.

Leola: Guys you're never gonna guess but Hazel really likes Leola. He finds her firm and back-boned personality very alluring, and wants to make her happy by any means. He's lowkey whipped for her.

Creek: Hazel enjoys having conversations with Creek. He doesn't exactly go out of his way to talk to Creek, but he does enjoy talking when they do meet- kind of like how dads work.

Iris: Hazel is scared of Iris. He sees her as this very confident, cool fae who could chew him up and spit him out, and he's convinced she WILL if he messes up while talking to her. He freezes up a lot around her.

Alexi: Hazel is sweet as pie to Alexi. He tries to be as polite as possible and HATES making Alexi upset. This behaviour is mostly because Alexis hair is shiny, and because he can't take that, he likes looking at it.

Django: Hazel thinks he's nice. They wouldn't really be friends, though. More like acquaintances.

Justice: Hazel thinks Justice is scary. He also thinks he's a jackass, but he would rather bury his head in the ground than EVER tell Justice that. Hazel avoids Justice whenever he can.

Lucifer: Oddly enough, Hazel likes Lucifer. He's got a habit of climbing around on him, following him around, playing with his jewelry, etc. Hazel doesn't know if Lucifer sees him as a friend, but Hazel DEFINITELY sees him as a friend.
