Living in a world where no one's innocent Oh, but at least we try Gotta live my truth, not keep it bottled in So I don't lose my mind I can feel it on my skin It's coming down on me Teardrops on my face Water like misery
It's coming down on me I'm ready, rain on me
I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive Rain on me, rain, rain
I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream...
I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem But if I know you, I know what you'll do You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream

There was something about that smile that filled Meghan with… warmth. It was sort of like… the feeling of coming home after a long day. No, better than that. It was like… there was nothing she could compare it to. It was… it was the warmest feeling she’d had since she’d woken up to her new self. Since dying.
She felt good that she’d caused the person to smile at her in such a fashion, but the recollection of her death sobered her up quickly and brought her back to reality. It also brought about the realization that this waitress was definitely being a little pushy with asking if they’d met, which really drove home the idea that they must know each other from somewhere.
“Well, I’ve only started coming here recently. I only just moved to Tabula Rasa a little while ago. So… maybe we know each other that way?”
She had a strong feeling it was something else, however.
Pinching her pink lips with hope and anticipation for a helpful answer that would ring a bell to her absent memories, the young woman didn’t seem to give her a clue in the slightest.
“So you feel it too?” Ludivyn sat down at her table like an excitable teenage girl at their favorite concert. “I wanted to let you know that-...”
Her words were cut off by a complaining coworker. It seemed as though the working fairy grew a habit of sitting at the guest tables and taking up too much time enjoying the company and conversation of those kind enough to listen to her. “I’ll be right back, don’t move!” Jumping out of her seat to head towards the kitchen, she pivoted to face the lovely lady with an embarrassed grin, “Of course you aren’t going anywhere, you’re eating here... and waiting for your order to come... right. S-sorry!” Said the frazzled fae.
The blonde placed the order and quickly folded the silverware into the napkins in a spot where she could occasionally look over to the mystery girl. She was itching in her skin wanting to talk with the brunette, almost as if the two reunited after being separated for years. She couldn’t help but admire her beauty from across the room. There was a part of her soul that ached watching such a charming person sit alone at the table. Growing with concern like a loving mother, Ludivyn wondered if the female was stood up on a date, perhaps waiting for some friends to arrive, or just simply alone.
Folding her last silverware on her accord, she decided enough was enough. Taking off her apron she hung it up in the break room and told her manager that she was taking the night off. Feeling confident in her decision, she felt that for some reason this stranger meant more than this job in the moment. Her pull to do the right thing ate at her conscious no more as she approached the sitting woman.
“May I join you for dinner? Unless you’re perhaps waiting for someone, that’s fine, I just... If I can’t remember how we met, I would like to at least create a memory now... if-if that’s alright with you?”
garridansblood:
He blinked, noticing how the waitress seemed to absorb his every word. His cheeks flushed with chill as she asked him to continue, bombarding him with numerous questions pertaining to such an eloquent, treasured chapter in his undead life. His eyes flickered towards the novel, unable to meet her attuned gaze; though a sheepish grin traced his lips. On one hand, it was refreshing to have someone so accepting of his relationship; for even though the times were surely changing he’d been born into a period where such a love was frowned upon, kept behind closed doors and away from the prying eyes of strangers. “Oh–why, we spent so much time amongst each other…and I do have the letters, as w-well as the coat.” The blond avoided mentioning how he’d sleep with that same jacket every night, for even though the smell of his lover had been washed away, it was one of the few reminders he had left. “I think…ah, w-well–where to even resume…our story is such a long one, but…” Garridan went quiet, the familiar pang in his heart. Thinking about uttering the words, he wasn’t sure of how to express it; for fear he might burst into tears. “…unfortunately, ah…it ends tragically.” His voice went soft, but then he decided to avoid lingering on the feeling. Weeping blood in the middle of Pixie Plates would have been dreadfully embarrassing. “I suppose…ah, w-well…oh!” His hues lit up, and he leaned over the table slightly. “W-well, I nearly forgot…there was one occasion–if you w-wouldn’t mind–I came from…a less than accepting time.” Taking a pause, he looked to Ludivyn’s face, somewhat worried she had lost interest, or become annoyed. Resigning himself back into the conversation, he began to elaborate. “We could…only meet at night, but…we’d often meet in a meadow near my home.” He relaxed into his seat once again, slightly covering his face with his hands, embarrassed. “He…he was a soldier, too…so handsome in uniform–oh, I’m rambling–anyhow, it was so pleasant, it was…beautiful. Just us, alone…a meadow in the night is…much more tranquil than during the day. It also…made me feel safe; almost as if that he and I w-were…well, in our own world.”
A joyous sigh was released after holding her breath with excitement towards Garridans love story. To know such romantic acts were still existent in present day made her gleeful heart soar. Anticipation struck the excited pixie as the story was being continued, bright eyes sparkled as she waited, until she waited too long the excitement slowly died down. So desperately she wished to hear the mans thoughts as Ludivyn saw the perplexed expression on his features in the moment of silence. Instinctively her caring nature took over and made her small gentle hands reach out to hold his cold peeling hands. Her doll-like eyes looked from across the table to give the boy some comfort. At this point, she wouldn’t force the man to continue with his story if he didn’t want to tell it. Her eyes began to water almost to feel his pain as she could relate to a tragic love story herself.
After getting the feeling that she had made the other feel uncomfortable rather than comforted, she pulled back. To not know ones thoughts or true emotions was complicated for it never was an issue before with anyone else. Entirely conflicted, she sat back in her booth and folded her hands in her lap. Nodding that she understood that he came from an unacceptable time, another concept she could grasp all too well. Consumed with her own emotion, her expression was easy to read as her bubbly nature seemed to pop like a balloon.
Listening to his visits in the moonlit meadows caused a weak smile while she remembered her own late night escapades with her beloved romance once upon a dream. Nodding once more, her smile grew in size once he said the words ‘in our own world’.
“Oh that’s extremely lovely. To be in love is such a beautiful chapter in ones life. How I wish I could see my own heartthrob. He was quite handsome.” A hand fell on her cheek with a girly grin at the very thought. “I would do anything for a letter, or to dance in the streets of Baltimore under the moonlight after curfew. I’d do anything to hear his voice one last time...” Feeling a tug at her heartstrings at the idea of not hearing her lovers thoughts anymore made her instantly sad. Looking down her thumbs had been twirling in circles in a dance at the memory of the two, until she noticed her skin began to sparkle and her head suddenly felt in the clouds. Reaching for the salt, she twisted off the cap and put a straw in it, then proceeded to drink the salt like a milkshake.
Licking her lips she suddenly felt better as the glitter on her skin faded and she resumed conversation as if nothing bizarre happened.
“Do you think you’ll ever see your loved one again? In this lifetime or the next?”
kasumi-tenshi:
Kasumi had the oddest feeling that someone was invading his thoughts. Was she perhaps… an angel? As far as he knew, only angels could actually use telepathy to communicate with each other, but perhaps this was a different kind? “Who are you? Do you know me?” he thought in his own angelic language, pushing those thoughts to her. She should only be able to answer this question if she knew the language of the angels. If she didn’t, she’d either hear nothing or a high-pitched ringing.
The angel couldn’t help but notice how the pink-clothed woman turned red in the face. He felt somewhat guilty for this, but knew not how to comfort her, being as awkward as he was. After a silence that felt like forever, he spoke up about the dragons, only to be met with a hesitant reaction. Perhaps she did not like dragons? A shame, Kasumi thought, but reasonable. He felt sorry for making her uncomfortable, whatever the reason was.
“Oh, fairy-tales! I am familiar with some of them, though I have unfortunately not had a chance to get to know them all. I-I’m quite a reader, you see… although I can relate to not being a fan of the scary ones,” he giggled. He wasn’t exactly sure what campfire stories pertained do, for the only campfires he’d had were quite lonely and over 200 years ago… but that wasn’t a thought he wanted to have now.
He lost all train of thought with her compliment, however. This time, it was his turn for him to turn red– the tips of his ears radiated the color, and he fidgeted, unsure how to deal with the sudden compliment. Why had she said such a thing? His eyes shifted away, embarrassed. “U-um… th-thank you?” he replied, assuming what she’d said was a compliment.
“Ludivyn…? Oh! Well, it’s nice to meet you, Ludivyn!” he said cheerfully, thankful for the change in conversation. “Ah, b-but if you don’t mind me asking… what is Disney…?”
If Ludivyn was of a higher rank in her realm such as the Summer Court as appose to the Spring Court that she was created in, she would have understood the muffled voice caught in static but all that she could comprehend was “who/you/do?” Despite it being hard to hear, she was surprised that it was possible to hear him almost respond to her telepathically. This was certainly rare and told her that this company possibly wasn’t human unless he was perhaps psychic?
Staring into his crystallized orbs, she concentrated hoping to probe into his mind, “You’re not human, are you? Your secret is safe with me.”
The pixie said in her thoughts, keeping the language that they were originally conversing in. “Yes fairy tales are wonderful, in my book.” Ludivyn winked at the other, almost feeling refreshed that she wasn’t the only one. Even if this stranger wasn’t of the same court or species even, it was refreshing to share such a rare power with another. Finally, something she could relate with another for this world was utmost topsy turvy in its ways. Feeling a connection and a sense of weight being lifted, she couldn’t help but compliment the young man and feel the need to be more open about herself - starting with her name.
A giggle vibrated her lips at the question of what a Disney was. Alas, someone who didn’t know something that she was familiar with. “Oh, how the tables have turned.” She thought to herself, then remembered that he could have potentially heard that. Her eyes shot to him for an answer as she slowly raised a brow for a reply. “Did you hear that?”
She gradually slid her hand into Kasumis in hopes they could better connect to one another and to physically show that there was no need to beat around the bush about what was obvious.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
“Ummm... well let me think here... I’m really handy and can fix almost anything? Wait no, that’s not fun. Uh... I like to gather some of my coworkers and have dance parties with karaoke, and sometimes I drink fruit punch and shake my tooshie alone at the house! But don’t tell anyone I said that, I don’t want to lose my job...”
Who has the worst thoughts in Tabula Rasa? Who has the best?
Ludivyn is tickled to get her first question, but soon goes into a panic afraid to answer...
“I... what? How-...
...
How am I suppose to answer that? You would have to have some sort of crazy mind reading powers to possibly know that! That of which I most definitely don’t have. I’m just a singer-waitress after all. Raised on a farm... yupperdoodles...
But, if I had to answer, based on how they carry themselves in conversation... I would say Kasumi and Garridan have the most kindest of thoughts for they always have the most interesting things to say...
The worst? I would have to say-...
Oh snicker niblets, I’m late for my shift! Goodbye!~”
kasumi-tenshi:
Kasumi looked up to find, to his confusion, a woman dressed as some sort of pink fairy.. pixie creature? Stifling a laugh of delight at the unique outfit, he closed his book and smiled at her. “Hello, uh… Tink? It’s nice to meet you. I’m Kasumi,” he said, nodding his head in greeting. “It’s nice to meet you.”
He wondered in silence what would posses a human to wear such an outfit, yet then again, it was difficult to tell who was human and who was not in this odd city. This woman in pink certainly gave off an odd vibe. He studied her closely, trying to see if a certain aura came from her. With certain powerful beings, he could sort of tell, but with lesser ones, it was difficult. He sensed power from her though, but it was mixed with a high concentration of bubbly and cheery attitude that caught the shy angel somewhat offguard.
Realizing he’d been staring at her, the Kasumi cleared his throat and put his book in the bag he’d somehow acquired recently. He looked down at his hands, nervously thinking about what exactly he should say to the newcomer, but decided to go with a normal, friendly route and be himself, rather than trying to mimic the odd speech patterns of humans.
Kasumi looked up, his blue eyes meeting hers. “I’ve been reading a book about dragons. Its a fascinating book about a world called Pern, which has some serious issues… but the dragons are helping to fix it! A truly lovely story, really.” He gave her a friendly smile. “What kind of stories do you like?
A bright white smile lingered as she felt relieved this stranger hadn’t been eagerly dismissing or threatening like previous encounters. ‘What would posses a human to wear such an outfit, yet then again, it was difficult to tell who was human and who was not in this odd city. This woman in pink certainly gave off an odd vibe’ ... ‘No Ludivyn! Don’t read his thoughts... you remember the last time... plus it’s rude as it is dangerous.’ ... Her bubbly presence faded along with her grin. Soon her cheeks turned a deep shade of red, blue eyes shot down with embarrassment and regret. Only able to feel one emotion at a time, this would be hard to shake off as she stood idiotically in this humiliating costume that made the Seelie fae seem like a bunch of air-head barbie dolls.
Slowly braving to look Kasumi in the eye, she caught him staring which disallowed the flushed appearance to disappear. Puffing her apple shaped cheeks she seemed frazzled as she lowered the fliers in hand. “It’s nice to meet you to...” said the female, polite and softly. In unison their thoughts seemed to question what to say in their awkward predicament. Afraid Kasumi was of the royal Seelie from perhaps the Summer court that she’d never seen before, she tried to keep her thoughts at bay in case he too was telepathic, though Ludivyn couldn’t help but stare at him while the blonde male seemed focused elsewhere.
“I suppose I should lea-...” Panicked she spoke to excuse herself, but the two seemed to speak at the same exact time which caused the female fae to stop and listen with a gleeful smirk.Thin brows pressed together before a puzzled brow lifted unsure how to react. “Dragons! That’s... yeah hmm... wow, ha!” She could barely find any words to even slightly match his enthusiasm for a long time ago, it was rumored that a dragon burnt down an entire kingdom and village of Seelie fae which caused them to move to their new home, a star called Abeir-Torli where she was created...far too late to experience that dark time for the Feywild to know if the legends were true.
Feeling impolite for standing before a potential prince, she moved over to the side of the blonde to sit down beside him while happily answering his query. “Oh I love fairy-tale stories. Cinderella. Rumpelstiltskin. Jack and the Beanstalk. I’m afraid I haven’t read much stories in a very long time. I also enjoy camp fire stories, as long as they are not too scary...”
The gentle girl looked up in the corner of her baby blue hues and gave a warm grin, “You have very kind eyes.”
“Ludivyn.” a pause later upon realizing how random that was to say, she scrunches up her face and shakes her head. “...That’s my real name, and I don’t usually dress like a Disney character.”

New Day, New Story || OPEN
Kasumi’s long travels had just recently come to an end. He had arrived at his destination: Tabula Rasa, the city of Supernaturals. He still had yet to find a place to live, and had been roaming the streets for the past few nights. It wasn’t a huge problem, since he could go a few days without sleeping, but he was exhausted mostly from the stress of travel and being in a new place. The city was crowded, something Kasumi had expected but wasn’t prepared for. He’d been wearing his sweatshirt and headphones all day, as if they were a shield between him and the busy city. He’d hidden his wings and halo away as well— they just got in the way most of the time.
The young angel at last found himself at a relatively quiet place— a park. With a small sigh of relief, he set down his bag on a bench and pulled out a book and his trusty pen. He began to flip through the book, enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the park and the wind flowing softly through his hair. He would occasionally look up to observe his surroundings; he was still a little on edge in this new place, so his music was off, too.
Sensing someone near him, he paused a moment, but didn’t look up. His blue eyes stayed locked on the page and a small smile on his lips as he said quietly to whoever was listening,
“A book is an adventure that you can hold in your hands. Fascinating, isn’t it?”
It had only been a few weeks that Ludivyn lived publicly in Tabula Rasa, and so far she had succeeded in keeping her true supernatural identity a secret with many failures of trying to adapt to human culture along the way. What should make sense only confused the Seelie fae more than necessary, like knowing the difference between cellphones and microwaves for example. Though the world she lived in currently was far different from the skies she’d come from, the fairy still was optimistic enough to fall in love with the idea of getting to know the human ways more and was even lucky enough to interact with them daily. Perhaps if she grew her knowledge and passed blending in, then by chance her Court would seek mercy on her and find Ludivyn useful.
Her job seemed to utilize her bubbly personality and charismatic skills to put them in good use that day as she bounced around doing odd tasks. Instead of tending her tables as a waitress, she carried a stack of flyers to help promote the business.
After being shooed away from the public library, Ludivyn made her way to the park where humans seemed to gather to escape their homes. The blonde caught the eye of many children who noticed her dressed as a cartoon cliche fairy, she happily signed the flyers and handed them out, however the parents weren’t too fond of their children receiving handouts from a stranger dressed like a pixie. No matter the chipper female did her job and noticed a male content by himself. Ludivyn stood in front of him and waited for his attention which to her surprise was not received. She cleared her throat and offered a flyer, then proceeded to her rehearsed monologue, “Hi. I’m Tink, and I work at Pixie Plates and we would love~...”
Her speech was cut off by the mans distraction. Instantly she forgot the assigned task and was captivated with the new direction of conversation.
“Oh, I do love adventures... and stories too!” Her blue eyes seemed to sparkle like a starry night sky.
garridansblood:
Garridan gave a nod to the fae’s comment. “Yes, certainly. I’ve…I’ve never met a Ludivyn before.” He admitted with a sheepish smile. Feeling flustered as she returned the compliment, he rubbed his arm. “Oh–thank you…I’m glad my name is as unique-?” His gaze seemed to soften as the waitress admitted a soft spot for young children. Though Garridan had never had children of his own, nor expressed desire for the time being to be a father, there was a natural innocence that came with reading to children. The energy reciprocated was reminiscent of his mother, a woman that had left a lasting impression on the vampire even though she’d passed on when he was but a child. Telling him fables in their native Romanian tongue, curled up by her bedside… At the enthusiasm towards romance novels, Garridan shyly glanced away. It was unusual to meet someone else so invested in such a genre, especially when it was still frowned upon for men to indulge themselves in such a topic as romance. But alas, Garridan was a hopeless romantic. “I happen to love, love too…it’s a beautiful force.” Upon being asked if he’d ever been in love, Garridan rest his hands on top of the book. He wistfully looked into the distance, the question taking him back to someone, a man that had left a lasting impression on the vampire. Though his heart swelled with both a tender nostalgia, there was also a wave of sadness. “…Yes, I have.” The blond admitted, glancing towards the waitress. Without meaning to, he found himself parting his mouth to speak of his personal experience. “He was a charming man, I have yet to meet another with as much beauty as he.. I adored him, just as much as he adored myself.” A dreamy look glazed over his eyes as the blond found himself continuing, though quietly. “Oh, he wrote me the most exquisite letters…such a way with words. I’m unable to get cold, but whenever we wandered the night he’d offer his coat to me.” By then, a visible grin had plastered Garridan’s face as he continued to ramble about his past lover. He almost forgot that he had taken up the waitress’s time, but he found himself so lost within the remnants of a whirlwind romance. When the vampire came to, a look of worry plastered his pale face. “Ah–my apologies, I…I didn’t mean to…ah, I’m sorry.”
There were moments where his words were as silent as his mind, but his eyes were like half open doors, so inviting yet somewhat closed off. It was almost as if he didn’t need a voice for his expression on his face told her everything he was feeling. Intrigued and invested, Ludivyn brought up her other palm as her cheeks rested on her curled fingertips while she listened to the story about his romance story. The dreamer gave a dazed smile while visualizing Garridans days with his lover. ‘What a beautiful time in ones lifetime to be in love’ she thought, for she felt being in love was rare that only happened to those lucky enough to find it. Almost forgetting this was a real occurrence in this mans life, she was hooked on the moments he lived out in his head.
“What a lovely story. What else did you two do? I bet you still have the letters don’t you? And his coat? Oh please go on Garridan, how does it end?” The naive pixie asked like a child being told a fairy-tale story. Biting her lip with excited anticipation, she loved a good happily ever after ending.
garridansblood:
Garridan gave a slight giggle. “Oh, a soda–? Hm…w-well, I think Fangta is a nice ring to it.” The vampire brushed his fingers along the crisp edges of his book, a smile tracing his lips. “I do appreciate the effort, though…I’m terribly sorry. I didn’t intend to…cause trouble.” Despite averting eye contact, Garridan attuned to what the waitress spoke of. While he knew what items they offered, he found himself awkwardly trying to explain that he was unable to partake–though he kept his lips sealed, for fear of scaring her off. That was an odd occurrence in Tabula Rasa, in the world itself. Even with the rise of supernaturals, vampires and their dietary needs were seen as unhygienic, terrifying. Perhaps some vampires had given the community a bad representation, but Garridan had never needlessly killed anyone; and if he did–it was as a neonate, when he had been unable to control his hunger. Even thinking about it made his stomach churn with guilt. “No, no…please, I don’t mind at all. I tend to ramble myself.” Garridan rubbed the back of his neck, glancing towards the waitress. “And ah, I mean…I don’t like being mean. I’ve met…a lot of rude people, and…ah, nevermind.” Flashing a sheepish smile, the vampire found himself surprised as Ludivyn sat before him. Though her company wasn’t unwelcome, Garridan found it unusual that the waitress would be so keen as to speak with him. As the waitress introduced herself, he looked to her nametag, feeling himself stifle a soft giggle. “Ah, that’s a bit mean…I think Ludivyn is an interesting name! It’s got a distinct quality, and…w-well, it’s just unique.” Upon pointing out his notebook, Garridan felt somewhat nervous. While he had never been ashamed at his penchant for purchasing overtly gothic and cliche romance novels, he’d certainly had his run-ins with folks who didn’t seem so fond of the idea. It was Garridan’s way of filling an emptiness within him since his loved one’s death, a way of projecting his hopeless romanticism. “Ah, I agree…cellphones are quite scary.” Garridan murmured, brushing his palm against the cover of the book. “I have one, but…it’s only for w-work…otherwise I’d much rather read.” He tilted his head, no curious. “Do you read yourself–? Ah, a dumb question. I’m sorry. W-well, do you prefer any specific genres–? I…I’m quite a bookworm for…romance. There’s something so intricate about…ah, I’m sorry. You were saying, Ludivyn?”
Even though she couldn’t read the others thoughts, it was clear he was taken by surprise as she invited herself to his table when she sat down in front of him. Almost regretting it, she wanted to stand but rather looking antsy, the girl decided to remain seated while the conversation carried along. Something about standing over people as a waitress felt to be disrespectful. In her prime, the working fae would never be caught at eye level nor towering over the Spring or Summer royals.
“Ludivyn... unique?” Her mouth opened in a gasping smile as the cheerful female received the compliment she’d only heard once before by someone dear to in her past. In her court, she was hardly seen as unique, but a number of many. “I should think Garridan is a special name too. I’ve never heard of it before!” A chin rested on her palm with a grin that wouldn’t fade, almost hoping the other felt the same reciprocated compliment.
Nodding with her head rested on her palm on the table, she felt completely engaged in the what seemed to be casual conversation, even if it was just small talk. To be noticed was never a struggle for the rare seelie, but to be heard did not scant the same attention.
A generous laugh emitted through the happy pixie as the new acquaintance admitted to being a bookworm, ‘what a silly thing to call oneself’ she thought. “I do like to read bedtime stories to young children. Those are my favorite!” Her eyes lit up once she heard the word romance, “Oh I love, love!” Her thoughts ventured to a man the girl once fell in love with before returning back to Garridans query.
“I’m sorry, I don’t quite remember. We were talking about romance I believe? Have you ever been in love before?” The fairy asked without realizing she was being intrusive with her open question.
meghanisalone:
Meghan was still new to most of the places and people in Tabula Rasa, and she’d been deciding lately that this needed to change. Taking more time to be among the people, even if it was just walking around and looking at stuff, felt like it was making her feel more connected to the city. Ordering food was a good way to at least practice interacting with other people, and it helped her maintain a… less severe appearance.
The waitress who came up to her was clearly a bit distracted, however. Meghan smiled, exhaling a chuckle out beneath her breath. She leaned closer to the other, hoping it would help her hear the order better.
“No, I said ‘I’d like the panini press turkey sandwich, it looks good.’ Arrreee you okay?”
Meghan tilted her head quizzically, realizing there was something familiar about this woman. She felt as though she recognized her, but she could not place it. Perhaps it was just someone she had seen while roaming about the city, and she was only recognizing her subconsciously. But she had the strangest feeling that she knew this person.
Hearing the thoughts of everyone in the room didn’t seem to help her in the moment as she studied the womans facial features. ‘Those eyes...’ finally her own thoughts surfaced, recalling how familiar they looked. It suddenly calmed her the more she awkwardly stared, it was as if the person she loved once upon a time had come back to soothe her in the panicked moment. Even the smile and chuckle felt recognizable, though she couldn’t quite connect the dots. Instead, Ludivyn gave a glowing smile as she vaguely glanced down at her pad of paper to write down the order.
“Me? Oh! Ye-yeah. I just...” Blinking a few times as she stuttered, the fae looked up towards the brunette lady. “Have I met you before?”
Realizing the inappropriate question, she quickly shifted the conversation, “I heard the panini sandwich is really good. I haven’t tried it yet, but...” Her mind trailed as her focus laid on every action the other gave off, even in the slightly movement. Ludivyn struggled to hear a single thought from the other, and even if she could by tugging at her ear, it was like a hearing a voice in a tunnel covered by a thick blanket.
“Have you been here before? I swear I’ve seen you before...” The curious blonde insisted on questioning the guest.

While the local restaurant would have been the last choice the she wolf would have picked for a quick date night, it was agreed upon that both didn’t exactly feel up to leaving town to when they knew that more than likely the night would end with them just drinking back at the Compound or Elidi’s home. As the red head let her partner order first she was too distracted by Elidi’s scent and reading the menu herself to notice the scent of the blonde before hearing her voice. Upon hearing her state what it was Elidi had order the she wolf shot her head up and gave Elidi a look, knowing that was not what she had said,
“How does one mistake-”
In that moment as she was about to draw attention to the waitress’s fault the Alpha caught that scent and her eyes phased yellow almost the moment she inhaled. Tamryn tensed visibly and let out a low growl as the she wolf glared up at the girl,
“And I was almost certain that our last encounter would have sent you running from this city...Yet here you are, doing an awful job of taking food orders. Ironic really...I don’t even need to order now. You already know what I want.”
Elidi didn't particularly mind whatever setting she was in with Tamryn, more so she was happy enough to just be around the alpha and spend time with her. The witch certainly had her appetite tonight, truth be told she couldn't remember if she had eaten today or not, maybe a quick snack sometime during her shift. When she became invested in a case or her job, she seemed to lose track of her own basic necessities, like eating. At least she bathed and drank water often but that could from her connection with water.
A small smile crosses her reddend lips, with her order now in mind she was content to just stare at the alpha. Until the waiter arrives, Elidi placing her order with a friendly smile. She's in a pleasant mood all until Ludivyn repeats her order back horrificly wrong. "God, no. I just want fettucine alfredo." Briefly she is amused by Tamryn's response, ger expression faltering shortly after, now uncertain if she even wanted to eat here. Or trusted this woman with her order, who she vaguely remembered from the fair.
Tamryn's unusual response causes her brow to arch, it seemed the alpha knew the woman but the nature seemed anything but friendly, let alone warm. She wondered what transpired between the two women, ardent hues narrowing as her curiosity grew. She sipped from her glass of water that had been set down by a different waiter, her gaze briefly residing on the waitress before flickering back to Tamryn, her expression impassive.
"That's quite a response, don't you think Red?"
Ludivyn kept her attention onto the brunette that seemed to have a peaceful presence about her unlike the familiar company she was with. Feeling her cheeks begin to warm up with a red embarrassment, her anxiety grew by the second. The only thing that kept her somewhat calm was the kind smile that the non threatening woman gave her, however that was short lived when the nervous waitress fumbled her words. Hearing the loud thoughts between the two sent the small fae into panic mode. Between the thoughts of the brunette wanting to leave, and the redhead wanting to eat Ludivyn made it almost impossible to function in the frantic moment. Part of her wanted to reassure the woman to stay just so she could prove that she could handle the human job, but the stronger part of her wished they would leave as the she wolf truly frightened the blonde.
“A-ah-al-...” Her focused played a wild game of ping pong between the pairing while she tried to gather a few words. “A-Alfredo. Got it.” A quivering smile twitched towards the brunette guest before bravely looking towards the redhead whos eyes then glowed yellow.
“I-... I’m afraid...” Ludivyn cleared the lump in her throat, “...what you want isn’t on the menu. W-would you like something else?” The fragile fae asked without able to look into those cold icy hues that the wolf woman possessed. Squinting hearing the combination of thoughts that were heard, she shook her head after the response and quickly walked towards the kitchen. A co-worker had noticed the fear on her face but didn’t stop to question it, though she could hear the concern from the other anyhow. Knowing she had to pull herself together and remain professional if she wanted to keep the job and fit in, she placed the order for the cook then headed towards the ladies restroom to splash some cold water on her face in hopes to calm down her nerves.

“Ah, that makes sense…” He replied, holding his book close to his chest. Glancing up at the server, Garridan felt somewhat comfortable; as she looked to be overwhelmed herself–that isn’t to say he didn’t feel bad for her, though. It seemed they were kindred souls. “I think it would be accommodate…or compensate w-works to. Hm, which would it be–?” Tilting his head, the vampire slightly pursed his lips, until a look of worry crossed his face. “Oh, I’m afraid I ah, don’t know myself…but both could work–?” At Ludivyn’s insistence to figure something out, he felt a small smile trace his face. “Ah, I know it’s a bit much to ask–but thank you.” Now left alone, Garridan set his book on the table before him, tracing his finger along the lettering. Hearing others talking, chatting among themselves within company made the vampire feel a bit lonely. He was used to feeling that way, given that he’d only recently begun to leave his bubble in an attempt to befriend others. While that had been successful, Elidi and Kiki were much too busy, and he’d have hated to disturb them from their endeavors. Hearing someone clear their throat, Garridan perked up, reluctantly making eye-contact with Ludivyn before his light hues averted them. “Oh–” Immediately, he could smell the scent of blood. He didn’t even require Ludivyn to state which type of blood it was, for the vampire had grown accustomed to their differences. Nonetheless, he smiled warmly. He could only imagine the lengths the waitress had gone to in order to fulfill his request, and he felt quite guilty. “Fangta–? That’s…that’s a nice name.” The blond let out a soft giggle, glancing down at his hands which were now clasped together in his lap. “I’m sorry, I’m sure it must have been quite difficult…I w-would hope it wasn’t too much trouble.” He timidly reached for the bottle, raising it to his lips and taking a sip. Yes, the droplets that met his tongue seemed to invigorate his senses. Garridan felt as if he could hear a bit clearer, catch even the faintest scents as the blood ran down his throat. Setting the bottle back on the table, he hesitantly looked up to Ludivyn. “Ah, you think so–? And please, there’s no worry…no worry at all. I don’t think of myself as…” Garridan bit into his cheek, worried he was rambling. “Ah, nevermind–I’m sure you’re very busy.” The blond look down to the novel that sat before him, waiting to be read. Even though his curiosity egged him on, it was nice to have some company. “Ah…I don’t know if I ever gave you my name, did I–? Oh, in that case I…my name is Garridan. I’m terribly sorry if I never…w-well, ah…you know now at least.”
As she awaited for the kind guest to sip his desired beverage that she hand picked out, her thoughts began to wander. Ludivyn did question as to why the blonde male asked for blood, for he appeared human but was a drink usually the alleged vampires drank. The innocent fae from the skies above had never come in contact with a vampire before, or a supernatural at all for that matter, besides the strange encounter with the hungry wolf woman in the woods. Vampires along with most supernaturals other than her own kind between the seelie and unseelie were almost unheard of and were often used as stories to either scare children from sneaking out of the house in hopes of fearing the dark side. Though as she smiled at the man taking his first sip of his blood beverage, she couldn’t help but wonder if the legends were true.
“I’m glad you like the name. It sort of reminds me of the popular soda we serve here. I doubt we would actually serve blood here to drink. Though we do have a lot of strange items on the menu. I’m more familiar with things like burgers, fries, shakes, you know... the normal stuff from the...”
Before exposing the fact that the last time she had been on earth was in the late 1950′s, she clamped her lips shut. “I’m sorry for rambling. I tend to do that when I’m nervous, not that you make me nervous or anything. Oh no, you’ve been so kind. I really do appreciate that quality.”
The two seemed to be bouncing sentences off each other in the moment almost in an awkward yet adorable and polite fashion.
“Oh no! I’m not busy. You’re my last table for the night, actually.”
With all the excited nerves in the air, finally Ludivyn felt it go away once she invited herself to sit at his table momentarily until he dismissed her.
“Garridan, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” The blonde gave a warm pearly smile. She looked down at her name tag which read her given fairy name for the restaurant, “You can call me Tink, if you like. They said Ludivyn was a silly name...” A slight giggle was heard in her throat while she held the gaze. Her smiley blue eyes soon disconnected and lowered to the book he had brought with him. She then noticed how he was dining alone which was rare at Pixie Plates as families or dates often occurred at the restaurant. “It’s refreshing to see you carrying around a book instead of those techie bricks called cellphones.”
