SPIRITUAL TRAPS

Trying to save everyone. Thinking you can save someone else. People have to make their own mistakes to come to their own realizations. You can’t save anyone, you can only love them. 

Twin Flames & Soulmates become detrimental when one clings to a label of a bond when abuse is present. Many people in the spiritual community stay in abusive relationships because they believe they found their Twin Flame or Soulmate when in fact, it is a trauma bond.

Ignoring people is powerful, and very necessary sometimes. But it can become a defense mechanism and an unhealthy way of dealing with things if you’re always doing this to solve your problems and never using your voice. This method lacks assertiveness, which is a very important trait to develop.   

Unpopular Opinion: Casual relationships aren’t bad. Please stop demonizing them. Just because they’re not for you doesn’t make them evil. They can be satisfying for individuals who aren’t looking for long term relationships or commitment but want intimacy and sexual pleasure. 

Being dismissive with others about 3D events. E.g. Not showing empathy for someone’s passing because you don’t believe they are really gone. You can appear apathetic to others by not caring about absence in this form.   

Hating on material things. Materialistic and superficial things have negative connotations in the spiritual community. People’s lives shouldn’t revolve around them, but you can’t avoid material things in this life. It’s okay if you want to have a mercedes one day, we’re here to have fun. 

Thinking anger isn’t spiritual. Anger is necessary for evolution, one must be upset with something in order for it to change. Spirituality involves regulating all of your emotions, not ignoring or dismissing unpleasant ones. Both anger and happiness have consequences, all states and actions do. 

Feeling misunderstood. It’s so important to surround yourself with a tribe of loving individuals who share similar interests as you do. Being around people who don’t get you will make you feel ostracized. Find people who value what you do, they will easily connect with you.

i am not joking we need to force teach cooking in schools. like. it is an essential thing for survival. do you know how easy it is to make things if you know even the bare bones shit about how cooking works. we need to teach teenagers how far you can take an onion and some other veggies it''s sad that people grow up not knowing how to prepare literally anything. and i'm not talking about oh this home ed class taught me how to make chicken nuggets at home i'm talking about learning the balancing of sweetness and acidity and saltiness and bitterness and shit like that and techniques and oil temperatures and how meats cook. it needs to be taught because it's literally not even that difficult and it matters so much

i truly believe that knowing how to cook is a basic survival concept and the fact that so many people can't even make simple dishes is depressing as hell this is the sorta thing that should be taught at a young age. being able to take the ingredients you have around your home and turn them into a meal is like, essential and will make life so much better. you don't need to be a high end chef you just need to understand some things that can be easily taught... but then again maybe the education system is playing a roll against this and ultimately they want you to grow up to rely on mcdonalds for dinner. i don't know. please learn how to cook for yourself if you're able. i'm not asking you to hunt for specific ingredients to make some expensive youtuber's "best" recipe but if you know the basics of cooking you can do a lot with cheap canned ingredients. cooking can be affordable i promise you just need to learn how to make do with what you can get
