crack pot deltarune theory but i’m so scared the weird route may be the canon route.

in the normal route, sans only tells her to draw her friends. so, it may be possible for susie to draw only two people, if you don't tell ralsei you'll buy her an ice cream on his behalf. you don't get the, "you know i gotta draw him" dialogue referring to ralsei, at the very least.

the WR is locked to specify 3 people by name and susie is one of them.

the "don't forget" picture only shows up in san's secret room in later versions of the game released on switch a few years before deltarune. only if you talk to clam girl about her neighbour 'suzy'.

susie is not in the normal route's punch card. if the normal route is canon to ut, it seems odd to choose susie (who isn’t in the photo triggered by said event) as the neighbour’s daughter—instead of the antlered girl (since she is canon to undertale mentioned by sans in the xbox version of the game and featured in the anniversary stream) who appears in the normal route photo.

dess did it so well that i don’t even have a face to add. eri, as well, i had to photoshop glasses onto her— since we never truly see what she looked like outside of how she wanted to be remembered.

alison and abigail i was a little uncertain about adding, but we ball.

i’m a sucker for the mothers in this trope. misaki being kept alive through the soul tie isshin shares with ichigo/white :’( the elric brothers’ entire narrative shaped by the sins they committed out of love for their trisha… the loss of yui ikari ending the world in THREE timelines. lyanna symbolism in the house of the undying, ned’s dreams, arya looking just like her— jon believing he’d never know what his mother’s face looked like because he was stark-featured like his “father”.

ymir founding the power that destroyed 80% of humanity— dina fritz promising to meet grisha again and being used as eren’s vessel to sacrifice his carla, the first step on the path to the rumbling.

kannabi-no-mikoto reincarnating and living on through our protagonist as the last of her kind only to meet the same lonely tragic fate.

jackie not only haunting shauna but being the original sin for all of the yellowjackets. sayori also being monika’s first sin and irreparably breaking the game upon her absence.

kai satou dying with all of the knowledge he had of the chidouins’ connection to the game and asunaro’s motivations being buried with him.

gaster has been living rent-free in every weird kids’ mind for a decade and we still don’t know the extent of his haunting.

honorable mention, the young wolf himself, robb stark. he’s one that could be argued against, but i lean to including him.

while he is not characterized by his absence, he’s the only stark child (that’s not 4 years old) we don’t get to peer into the mind of, a non-pov character. we only get to see him through the eyes of a mother looking at her first born son. he is alive for 2.5 books, but largely absent from view fighting a war. we never truly know him.

i was given my beautiful son for a single book before everybody with any sort of tie to the magical plane began to relay visions of him dead and mangled. not once, not twice, but THREE times before his death. PLEASEEE.

his death/the red wedding serves in such a travesty that it transcended into supernatural. it served as a magical catalyst, a huge blood sacrifice that's dread was felt across the world. karma hits the offenders’ family nearly immediately within the same book. their family and legacy falls apart during and following the heir’s own wedding.

i feel like the asoiaf reading experience is really marked by pre-red wedding and post-red wedding like B.C. and A.D. — like some sort of martyr, because that’s what he’d become before his time. the savior the stark girls pray to will save them, the jesus to theon’s judas, the stark boys’ idol— even metaphorically wearing a crown of thorns, a crown equated to suffering by his mother.
